[h3]Authentic Big City Traffic with New AI Vehicles[/h3][p][/p][p]A realistic metropolis is defined not only by its streets and routes, but by the traffic that shapes it every day. For the upcoming OMSI Berlin Line 186 map, special attention has been given to creating a believable and lively city atmosphere — including specially customized AI vehicles.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]Berlin stands for diversity, and this is reflected in its road traffic. In addition to the standard OMSI vehicles, Line 186 features numerous custom-integrated AI vehicles that enhance the authentic Berlin look and feel. While they are not drivable, they create a dense and realistic traffic environment in the background.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]These include vehicles from the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe for operations and security, regional emergency vehicles from fire and police services, as well as various locally themed commercial vehicles. You’ll also encounter trailers with individual advertising and special municipal cleaning vehicles throughout the city. New civilian vehicles further strengthen the characteristic urban atmosphere.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]The result is a vibrant traffic flow that naturally embeds Line 186 into everyday Berlin life, enriching every drive with added immersion.[/p][p]
The map is currently in beta testing, and a specific release date has not yet been announced. [h3]A new map add-on for OMSI 2 is approaching its final stages of development:[/h3][h3]Berlin – Line 186[/h3][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can now add OMSI 2 Add-On Berlin Line 186 to your wishlist![/p][p]👉 OMSI 2 Add-On Berlin Line 186[/p][p][/p][p]Line 186 is one of the longest routes in the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) network, running from Grunewald via Steglitz to Lichterfelde Süd. This results in a highly varied route featuring a wide range of urban environments and street scenes.[/p][p][/p][p]In the prestigious Grunewald district, the line winds through leafy villa neighborhoods and quiet residential streets. It then continues into vibrant Steglitz, where dense traffic and an authentic big-city atmosphere take over. The journey concludes in Lichterfelde Süd, an area shaped by industrial and commercial zones as well as distinctive high-rise housing estates.[/p][p][/p][p]One of the standout highlights is the Steglitz Kreisel, one of the very few bus terminals worldwide located inside a building, making this route a truly unique experience.[/p][p]In this add-on, Line 186 is operated using the DL 05. Also included is the Innovation Bus 3492, which has been extensively reworked specifically for this project.[/p][p][/p][p]Further information and screenshots are available on the Steam store page.
