Turn Up The Block With a New Hoops Arena
Streetball Roots Run Deep in Sovereign Heights
While the biggest names in basketball have traditionally come from Dunk House, there lives a hardcore group of Hoops mains who traded hardwood courts for asphalt. Located in the Sovereign Heights community park, The Block Arena is a new outdoor court with a huge reputation in the local streetball scene.

To celebrate its construction, we’re introducing The Block Party, a basketball-focused In-Game Event with some baller Block Party Challenge Rewards. Completing Event Challenges will reward you with the animated Double Dribble Topper, Game Time Player Anthem, a Very Rare Drop, and huge XP Rewards.

Looking for the soundtrack to your next big win? Players can take The Block back to the ‘80s with the shredding Jump Player Anthem, penned by the legendary Van Halen! This synth-heavy hit single is perfect for your next slam dunk and will be available in the Item Shop for a short time during The Block Party.

Get ready to show off your skills! Hoops will take over the regularly scheduled 1 p.m. PDT Competitive Tournaments Extra Modes slot on North American servers, and the 1 p.m. UTC slot on European servers during The Block Party.

The Block Party begins right now and will rock the house until October 18.

Williams Resolve's new Rocket League team will bring Breezi alive

Williams Resolve's Rocket League team is long associated with the tricolore, with the red, white, and blue flag being carried by its mostly French team. However, the British organisation is trading that in for the Union Jack, with former 00 DNB players Jack 'FlamE' Pearton and George 'Breezi' Rusiecki picking up Noah 'noahsaki' Gillespie to form a sturdy new squad. Together with coach Ethan 'Ethzn' Laughland and manager Euan 'Tadpole' Ingram, Williams Resolve is looking to make a statement in the RLCS 2022-2023 season.

They might not be the biggest team in the Rocket League esports ecosystem, but with the first European RLCS event underway, the new Williams Resolve roster is hoping it can prove itself on the big stage. But how is the team setting itself up for success and what does this new British mix bring to the table? We spoke with Ethzn and Breezi to find out.

Choosing the right teammates is never an easy task. You have to trust them on and off the field, go through the highs and lows of competitive gaming together, and spend a lot of time together on practice and playing days. It will come as no surprise then, that Breezi has high expectations.
