SUIT UP FOR EVENT CHALLENGES WITH NEW BATMAN THEMED ITEMS, GOTHAM CITY RUMBLE LTM, THE RETURN OF ALL THREE BATMOBILES, AND MORE!
It's nightfall in Gotham City, and the Rogues Gallery is gearing up for mischief and mayhem. This calls for the return of the Dark Knight himself! The hero Rocket League deserves is back to restore order during the annual Haunted Hallows in-game event on October 14!

Licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC, one of the largest publishers of comics and graphic novels in the world, prepare for a long Halloween with Haunted Hallows Event Challenges. These new Challenges can be completed to unlock items themed after iconic Batman Super-Villains. Check out the trailer above and the slideshow below featuring the Joker Dominus Decal and Boost, Gotham's Finest Merc Decal, Harley Quinn Wheels and Topper, Poison Ivy Boost, and more! Plus, claim the free Dark Knight Player Title as a log-in reward.

Batman and his foes are also taking over Rumble and transforming it into Gotham City Rumble. This new twist is the same Rumble gameplay, but power-ups are now themed after Batman and his enemies. Use your power-ups and engage Joker's Boxing Glove, Harley's Hammer instead of the Boot, Poison Ivy's vines instead of the Grappling Hook, and many more. Claim a dark victory in Gotham City Rumble while it's available as an LTM all throughout Haunted Hallows.

This year's Haunted Hallows swoops in with the all-new Arena variant: Beckwith Park (Gotham Night). Beckwith Park has been infiltrated by the most notorious Super-Villains of Gotham City. Be on the lookout for nods and easter eggs scattered all around this new limited-time Arena. Catch a glimpse of Beckwith Park (Gotham Night) in the trailer above.

Batman's return to Rocket League wouldn't be complete without his iconic vehicle, the Batmobile. All three versions of the Dark Knight's high-tech vehicle, the Batmobile (1989), The Dark Knight's Tumbler, and the Batmobile (2016), are speeding back into the Item Shop. Each Batmobile comes with the new Reel Life Decal, giving them their signature black color from the movies. Plus, celebrate your goals with three Bat-Signal Goal Explosions! These three fiery Goal Explosions show off the Bat-Symbol from three different eras. Get all the Batmobiles and Goal Explosions in the Batman Halloween Bundle or buy each vehicle or item separately. Here's what's included in each:

Batman returns to Rocket League for its 2021 Halloween event

The spooky season is truly upon us. Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Warframe, Fortnite - the list of the biggest and best PC games getting into the Halloween spirit goes on. Now, Psynoix has unveiled its plans for Rocket League's own October bash, with the game's Haunted Hallows event kicking off tomorrow and bringing Batman, a themed limited-time mode, and more along for the ride.

Rocket League Halloween - the 2021 edition - features a collaboration with Warner Brothers and DC Comics to bring a lot of Batman-themed stuff to the game. First up, there are new Haunted Hallows event challenges that'll offer unlockable supervillain-style items like some Joker and "Gotham's finest" decals, Harley Quinn wheels and topper, a boost themed on Poison Ivy, and so on. Rocket League's Rumble game mode is getting some tweaks to turn it into a Gotham City Rumble, with power-ups now being Batman (and Batman baddie) themed. This restyling lets players use the Joker's boxing glove, Harley's signature hammer (which swaps in for the boot), and Poison Ivy's vines, which replace the mode's grappling hook.

Elsewhere, the game's getting a new limited-time arena - a Gotham Night variant of Beckwith Park - which has been hijacked by Gotham City's supervillains, as its theme reflects.
CHANGES AND UPDATES
Free Play Ball Control
  • New ball controls are now available in Free Play
    • We want to thank everyone who contributes to BakkesMod and their hard work for inspiring this feature addition
  • You can now control the ball in five different ways with the push of a button:
    • Take Possession: Places the ball in front of your car
    • Start Dribble: Places the ball on the hood of your car
    • Pass Ball: Sends the ball towards your car
      • Sometimes the pass will be just left or right of your car, depending on the angle and position, so heads up!
  • Launch Ball: Behaves similarly to tip-off in Hoops
  • Defend Shot: Shoots the ball towards the closest goal
  • These new controls can be used together
    • Example: You can use Launch Ball to send it high, then Defend Shot to mimic a shot from the ceiling or high up on the wall
  • Ball Reset continues to work as before (return to the kickoff position)
  • Defend Shot and Pass Ball don’t always work as intended in some arenas and modes, including:
    • Double Goals (Rocket Labs)
    • Utopia Retro (Rocket Labs)
    • Dropshot
    • Hoops
  • [Nintendo Switch] When using a single Joy-Con for controls, Free Play Ball Control is disabled
