A new act is about to take center stage in Rocket League. The world is hers: get ready for the one and only Hatsune Miku!

⁠Show your ♥ for this revered virtual artist by completing Challenges to unlock Toppers, Decals, and other accessories based on her — plus the Melt Player Anthem. 'Cause what’s a celebration of Miku without those signature, synthesized vocals?

⁠Speaking of which, even more of her tracks are available in the Shop as Player Anthems, including M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥ SHOT! and Miku. Other Miku-themed items like the Miku Pop Goal Explosion await as well! Hatsune Miku brings the rhythm from January 29 at 4 PM PT to February 11, 2025, at 4 PM PT.

Give your car a colossal dose of Vitamin K with the Rolled Leek Wheels, earnable by getting 10 Saves or Epic Saves in Online Matches. They don’t call it brain food for nothin’: put the Leek Topper on the head of your car after getting 30 Centers or Clears in Online Matches.

⁠Crank up the volume with the Melt Player Anthem by ryo (supercell) feat. Hatsune Miku after earning 25,000 XP in Online Matches. While you’re partying to this Miku tune, it’s only fitting that you channel her adorably futuristic sense of style too. Unlock the Miku Rider Dark Octane Decal by scoring 20 Goals in Online Matches!

⁠This Hatsune-centric Decal pairs great with the Hatsune Miku Antenna, a flag of fandom you can wave after gaining 3 XP Levels. There are ten Miku items total as Challenge rewards!

⁠Planning to dance all night? Then you’ll also unlock some Miku Gifts! You’ll add a new Miku Gift to your collection after playing 15 Online Matches, repeatable five times. Open these up in your inventory to unlock items from the Impact, Vindicator, or Victory Series. Plus, if you need an XP boost, repeat the unlimited Win 10 Online Matches Challenge for 20,000 XP each time.

  • Beckwith Park (Snowy) removed from arena rotation due to visibility issues, will return in a later update.
  • Xbox Series X|S players can expect to see improved performance and more consistent FPS after this update, as the “Video Quality” settings have been restored.
    • 120 FPS is not yet restored, we’re still working towards a solution and are looking to resolve this ASAP.
[h3]BUG FIXES [/h3]
  • Fixed a visual issue where Boost Pads became invisible during a match, players could still drive over and pick up these Boost Pads.
  • Fixed Auto Tournament notification text overlapping with the Ball Manipulation Controls when in an Online Free Play match.
  • Fixed a visual issue causing the Armadillo, Hogsticker, and the Video Game Antenna to not appear in player garages on Xbox.
  • Fixed users being able to communicate via voice and text with a non-friend user in the Party when the 'Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites' privilege is set to 'Friends' on Xbox.
  • Fixed achievements not unlocking when resuming Rocket League from Quick Resume on Xbox.
  • Fixed players not being able to join a party via the ‘Friends’ list when opening from Quick Resume on Xbox.
  • Fixed Neo Tokyo (Arcade) Arena image not matching the actual arena visuals in "Map Selections" when in Free Play and Tournaments.
  • Fixed the ability to edit preferences for multiple arenas in the Arena Preferences menu.
  • Fixed all Holo-Hype Boost variants having no Sound Effects in the Garage.
  • Returned “Video Quality” settings to Xbox Series X and S systems.
  • Fixed players being unable to rebind “Capture Gameplay Clip (Hold)”.
  • Fixed an issue on Xbox where players could not communicate with each other in general Text Chat nor Team Channel voice.

Frosty Fest 2024 Brings Chills and Thrills to Rocket League!


Does anyone else feel that chill in the air? It can only mean one thing, the return of Frosty Fest for 2024! This year, Frosty Fest brings a sleigh’s worth of Challenges, rewards, Golden Gifts, and more from December 10 until December 31!

Elsewhere, if you’re feeling peckish there’s the Pigeon Cube Topper and Gingerbread House Decal. Or if you really want to embrace the festive season check out the Ugly Sweater Decal, it might not be knitted by Grandma but we guarantee it's just as gaudy!

⁠[h3]Split Shot and Split Shot Heatseeker arrive in Dueling Playlists[/h3]The Split Shot and Split Shot Heatseeker LTMs debut during Frosty Fest, dividing the field and bringing the heat this winter! Look forward to scoring long-range goals in this fresh twist on 3v3 Soccar.

⁠Split Shot and Split Shot Heatseeker will face-off against one another in Dueling Playlists for the first week of Frosty Fest! From December 10 to 17, the mode that gets more plays will stay in rotation for another week. The power is in your hands, feels cool right?!

⁠Week 2, from December 17 to 24, will see the victor of this bout take on the returning Winter Breakaway, where the Soccar ball gets frozen out for a Hockey Puck at the snowy Throwback Stadium. The final week of 2024’s Frosty Fest, running from December 24 to January 1, 2025, will place week 2’s winner bumper-to-bumper with Rocket Labs in the fight for LTM glory.

⁠Don’t freeze on the field! Take advantage of everything Frosty Fest 2024 has to offer before it wraps up December 31.

Online Free Play
  • Free Play is now Online! Create an Online Free Play Session directly from the main menu, post-match screen, or while searching for a game. Party leaders can create sessions and invite up to 7 friends, or start their own solo practice.
  • You can join an Online Free Play session by name and password.
    • Players cannot start an Online Free Play session if one of their party members is actively in a match.
    • The Party Leader will have Ball Manipulation Controls (BMC) by default, and will be able to pass this on to another party member by leaving the match.
      • Only one party member at a time can have BMC enabled
      • Quick Chat is disabled in Online Free Play in favor of BMC
  • Online Free Play includes the following customization options:
    • Game Mode (Soccar, Dropshot, Hoops, Snow Day)

Center of Mass Adjusted for Shifted Hitbox Car Body’s
  • In past updates, we adjusted the hitbox position on several Car Bodies for a more accurate visual fit. This hitbox adjustment did not include a change to their center of mass, which we are correcting in v2.46.
    • This correction will improve how the Car Bodies listed below feel and behave.
    • We have ensured that cars with shifted hitboxes and center of masses do not have any advantages or disadvantages in gameplay, including kickoffs.
