News on the FInal Chapter and some Q&A



Hey Players,


Are you ready to cross the bridge in the final chapter of Chromosome Evil 2?




We start this by saying Thank you, players, thank you for the constant support!


So let us begin with the Q&A session.


Do you plan on adding more things to the game besides Chapter 4?
Yes, we plan on adding 3 main quest scenarios for Chapter 3 that will make the connection for Chapter 4.
We also had 1 guy on our Discord who was obsessed with adding a cat in the game and because he is a long-time supporter, now we have a cat in the game that will appear at random times.


What are we working on now?
Right now we work full-time on the final chapter(4) of the game.

Can we make our own maps?
Yes, we released the map editor for free, you can find it in the game folder, and if you make any good maps you can send them to our Discord so that we may add them in the actual game.
Unfortunately, there will be no Steamworks support because for the previous editor, we had Steamworks support, and not many people used it but OFC if we see a serious interest in the editor we will consider adding Steamworks support again.

Any news for the full release?
Yes, we hope to fully release the game by the end of next month(February), if we encounter any delays we will make an announcement.

What will Chapter 4 have?
1 unique location with 3 long scenarios and Bosses. There will be 2 of these locations according to the path you will take and yes multiple endings and all that magical stuff.

Map Editor Update




Hey Players,


We decided to release the map editor for free as part of the main game as a Holiday gift.


If you open the folder where Steam installed Chromosome Evil 2 you will find Editor Exe just be warned: this editor was mostly used for the main development so some of the features might not be so user-friendly.

Also if by any chance you manage to make some interesting maps within the game theme, you can send them to our discord and we might add them to the main game map pools.

Hey Players,

Lots of new things we did in the past 2 weeks.

The most critical was a serious bug that caused random crashes at the start of the game or on load of a game.
Well good news everyone, that critical bug was fixed, unfortunately, it caused a serious drawback with our deadlines but we believe we can still handle it.

We apologize for any problems caused by this critical bug and we want to thank you all for not losing faith in us, there was one guy who despite this critical bug still gave us positive feedback, this truly heartwarming for us and we will do our best not to let you down.

This being said here is what was updated in the 14 days since the last update announcement:

1. BUG FIXES
-Global Map Pathfinding fix
-Double research
-wrong ammo icon
-pathfinding near cars
- 2 maps without top layer fix
-save train bug (makark0dy)
-shock hero effect bug (I'm S.W.A.T)
-scout missions fix (I'm S.W.A.T)
-usual prelude crash (makark0dy)
- high-level crawler crush
- part 1 base attack event
-Video settings changes in the core engine. Must fix crushes on first launch and options settings.
-lvl 4 armors fix
-skill requirement hint
-Exoskeleton lvl2
-finally, we handle loading crush

2. POLISH
-Global map rollovers with location names (old saves with have temporary names)
-worm nerf
- overall balance difficulty was increased based on a lot of feedback from our discord regarding game being a bit too easy

3. BALLANCE
-Sniper rifle mechanic tunes

4. MAJOR UPDATE
- added City apartments map pool
- Dead corpses, yes many of you asked for them so we made the sprites based on enemy skins, adding an extra layer of satisfaction when you destroy those creatures
- Global map random encounters mechanics and encounters themselves

Hey Players,

It's been 10 days since the Early Access release and before I continue with the new updates I want to clarify one thing.

We released in Early access so that means the game is NOT finished and because we constantly push new content and fix bugs new bugs will occur, but rest assured we will fix them all as long as the bugs are reported on the bug report topic or on our discord.
I say this because I noticed some people expected finished clean games in Early access and if that is the case I strongly suggest you stay away from this game until the full release(somewhere in February we hope) and only try it out now if you want to get involved in its development and support the developers.



This being said here is what was updated in the 10 days since the release:

-turrets fixed (many reports)
-secondary visit location
-russian version pathfind crash (Атлас)
-z,x zooming centered (RAVEN3.8X)
-keyboard settings popUp fixed (RAVEN3.8X)
-rollovers on weapon statistic (makark0dy)
-shield mechanics fixed (MazzledMarrow0)
-car upgrade save bug (makark0dy)
-added spellings on empty build materials(Spearmann99)
-duplicate craft items (makark0dy)
-Enemy damage state crash on high levels (alwaysDrunk)
-Wrong fix car (dr. turtle)
-fix + upgrade crash (alwaysDrunk)
-Global map roads dissapear .
-traps ammo refill on MULE
-Ambulance crash
-Roof MULE walk crash
-part 2 arrival crash
-Ammo box crash (КИБЕРПСИХ)
-Pathfind freeze on global map (always drunk)
-Info screen in Load menu glitch (КИБЕРПСИХ)

2. POLISH
- Game over screen based on game over trigger(scenario, fuel event and defense event)
- Load game screen with detailed preview information on slots

3. BALLANCE
- some fine balance tunes

4. MAJOR UPDATE
- Global map was added on Chapter 3 (fair warning: this is serious mechanic so you might encounter some bugs)
- Chapter 3 intro and splatscreen
