October 19 Update

Hi all,

This update adds more skins to the zombies for the zombie player, giving you 9 more zombies to play with.

There has also been an issue with zombies walking into walls instead of coming after you. This has been fixed.

I noticed some of the doors frome the drone assets were not opening in the platformer and ARPG player they will open for you now.

Your saved scenes will be slightly smaller now. Some data that didn't need to be added unless changed has been cut out.

Lastly, when packaging terrain textures with the Asset Packager, you used to need to add _c at the end of colormap files. You should still do this if you want to pair it with a normal map which will have the same name, but end with _n, but it is no longer required if packaged alone.

Enjoy!

September 19 Update

Hi all,

Another update already? Yeah, it's a small one, but it was necessary.

Two things in this update.

The first is that some older scenes were failing to load. This has been fixed.

The second is an added toggle to the Settings Window in the World Builder and Constructor that will disable or enable the frame rate limit of 60fps, if you so desire.

Enjoy!

September 17 Update

Hi all,

This update is mostly for the exporter in the World Builder and Constructor, but also has a bug fix relating to the terrain disappearing.

When exporting rotated objects, the rotations were not exporting correctly, causing the .obj files to have the wrong rotations. This has been fixed.

For those of you with Voxel Sculpt and Premium, you can now choose to export the voxels as a Collada file. This will let you export the terrain as a single .dae file instead of a bunch of smaller .obj files.
It will export one file for the terrain, and one for the grass, assuming you have one or both of those checked for export.

The splat maps export correctly now in the World Builder. A naming issue was causing them to overwrite each other and save only one, but now all 4 are saved.

Lastly, there has been a problem with the terrain disappearing when you resize the window.I can't completely eliminate this right now, but I have made it so it won't last for longer than a couple seconds, and shouldn't cause you too much trouble.

Enjoy!

September 6, Update

Hi all,

This update will let you save your game while you play it in the FPS, Zombie, Drone, Platformer, and ARPG players. To do that, just open the menu by pressing Esc, and select Save Game.
This will create a new folder next to your Scenes folder labeled Saved Games.

Fixed a small bug while using the Warehouse with Voxel Sculpt. Sometimes switching asset packs when voxels were selected would make it skip an asset pack.

Added Simple Colliders to the Special section of the Warehouse. These will creat an invisible wall that you can use to provide a border to your scene, or maybe an invisible bridge.

Removed a message from some of the other colliders in the Special section of the Warehouse. It said the collider only works in the Sidescroller. They work in any external player.

Worked on fixing a bug that was making grass slow down. We had a report that grass was slowing down the World Builder significantly. If you notice this behavior, please let us know, and we'll work to see how we can make it faster.

Enjoy!

August 21 Update

Hi all,

Time for another update. This one has a new object called a Message Locator. It will be in the special objects in your warehouse, and looks like a speech bubble.
After placing one, use the Properties window to set a title and text to display when walking over it.
These will be good to use for one time messages, such as someone welcoming you to the city, or a notification like "You hear a strange sound."

In addition, we were able to remove a bunch of extra shaders that weren't needed anymore. This will make startup a lot faster, along with saving a lot of space on disk.

We fixed some white outlines that were appearing in the FPS players on the higher quality settings, so if you happened to lower your in game quality to avoid that, you can raise it again without fear.

The Asset Packager has been updated for Unity 5.4.0f3
This will get rid of a few annoying warnings that may have been popping up.

Enjoy
