Welcome!

We are GameFrontier Studio. We would like to thank everyone for participating in the limited-time test of Mistery (OCT 8th - 21th)!

As Mistery is still under development and many of players may be participating in our internal test for the first time, this article provides some answers to common questions about the test.

How long will this test last?
The servers will be open from 18:00 to 24:00 every night from OCT 8th to 21th in Central European Time & Central Standard Time & China Standard Time. The game cannot be entered outside of this time period.

How many servers are available?
3 servers will open, Europe (Germany), North America (Los Angeles), and Asia (Shanghai).

Can I stream or make videos of this test of Mistery?
This is a public test. Welcome to livestream the game and make videos about it.

How do I create a room and start a game?
Main menu >> Start Operation >> Start Operation >> Loading page >> Confirm character selection. After selecting your character, you will enter the game lobby and wait for other players to join and get ready. The host can then start the game.

If you're the host, tell your friends the room name or room ID to join your game!


How to join someone else's room?
Main menu >> Browse rooms >> Click the room you want to join >> Enter room >> Confirm character selection. After selecting your character, you will enter the game lobby and wait for other players to join and get ready, as well as for the host to start the game.


What should I do if I get disconnected during gameplay?
Please try to reconnect. You can reconnect to the room within five minutes of disconnection. If it's more than five minutes, please join a new game.

How to switch game language?
The game currently supports Simplified Chinese and English.
Steam library >> Game interface >> Gear icon >> General >> Language drop-down menu >> Select English or Simplified Chinese. The game needs to download a small amount of files each time you switch.

We're excited to announce that Mistery will attend Steam Next Fest, and the open demo will be out in advance on OCT 8th!

How to Join
Mistery's open demo version will be available on the Steam page on OCT 8th. Download the demo and you're ready to play, No need to apply for a test qualification!

What's to be Expected

• The game provides the full experience of a 9-player game (6 operators, 2 alternates, and 1 betrayer). It supports 6-9 players game and we always recommend playing a 9-player game
  
• On average, 1 game is about 20-30 mins
  
• The game requires an internet connection and supports ambient voice communication. It is strongly recommended to play with headphones and microphones
  
• This is an open test. Welcome to live stream or make videos for the game.
  

Content Update
A lot of new things are upcoming and will be detailed in the update notes. Here is a preview:

• Disaster System: Disasters are events that can significantly impact the game.
  
• Spectator Mode: After dying, you can become a drone and engage in aerial combat with other dead players.
  
• New Alternate Transformation: Shapeshifter
  
• New Betrayer Ability: Consume Corpses and Plague
  
• Evacuation Optimization: Claiming an evacuation mission now comes at a cost.
  
• Push-to-talk, mute, password-protected room settings, and more!

We are about to launch a playtest with rewards, for anyone who plays our game and is lucky enough!

Time
SEP 22-23, 18:00-24:00 each day in Central European Time & Central Standard Time

Regions
2 servers will open, Europe (Germany) and North America

How to Join
As the picture shows below, click the Request Access button
After the request, the game can be downloaded and accessed on SEP 22

If you don’t have access for some weird reason, contact us in discord and we will give you the keys.

Playtest Rewards

• Play a game with at least 6 players. Share 1 screenshot in our discord showing that you are playing with others. We will select lucky players to get 10-USD Steam Wallet Gift Card code the day after the playtest.
  
• The screenshot can be any moment when you are in the game, or the finishing screen that shows all players.
  
• Each player can only get 1 reward at most.
  
• There will be at least 20 rewards. We will increase the rewards if there are a lot of players.
  

Forward Rewards

• Forward our message about our playtest and Steam link to a discord server (must be relevant to Steam games) that has over 500 members. Contact us on SEP 24 and show us the forwarded message link, which is effective and not deleted. We will thank you with a 5-USD Steam Wallet Gift Card code.
  
• Each player can only get 1 reward at most.
  
• There will be at least 20 rewards. We will increase the rewards if there are a lot of players.
  

Dear players!

We are sorry that some of you cannot switch to the English version of the game. We just uploaded an English build branch, and it works for everyone!

How to switch to English Build:
Library >> Properties >> Betas >> Choose English_win_64

Afterwards, there is a small update. Update it and you'll have an English version!
