Next Fest Wrap-Up

Hey preppers!

A huge thank you to the 12.000 brave survivors who checked out the Guntouchables demo during Steam Next Fest!
Your support and feedback has been incredible, and we’re thrilled by the response so far.

If you haven’t had a chance to jump in yet - or want to squeeze in a few more runs - this is your last chance! The demo will only be available until Monday the 10th, so make the most of this final weekend before it’s gone.

Keep sharing your thoughts in the community, and stay tuned for more updates as we continue developing the game. This is just the beginning of the apocalypse!

Next Fest Demo is Live!

Guntouchables will be playable as a demo during Steam Next Fest for the next week. First of all, thanks to everyone who joined the playtest. Your feedback has helped tremendously, and we are grateful for all your kind words and constructive criticism on our Discord. Your excitement is infectious!

But you know what’s not infectious? Baxter’s Bunker Beans - possibly the most nourishing low-mercury containing meal you could ask for in a post-apocalyptic world.



Baxter’s Bunker Beans is not just an enjoyable snack, it is also the de-facto currency in the few places left where bartering takes place. Baxter himself will buy back any unopened cans of Baxter’s Bunker Beans you find out in the wastelands, in exchange for perks and weapon unlocks.



Brick Baxter is also taking time out of his busy schedule as a post-apocalypse entrepreneur to provide valuable tips for new players of Guntouchables in the form of Brick Tips. Enjoy the first episode here:

We have of course been hard at work adding a lot to the game since the playtest, while also fixing a lot of the issues and balancing that many of you helped uncover. Again, thanks to all of you for helping us along the way; our Discord has become a bustling and wonderful place to spend time with you while we work on the game. And if you’re not already part of the growing and awesome pro-prepper community that is Guntouchables, you can join the discord here.

We’ll try our best to keep you posted on our progress as we go along. And if you’re just joining us, then welcome to the wastelands, prepper - and thanks for joining the most friendly post-apocalypse community.

Enjoy the demo during next fest, it will be available until 3rd March, 7 PM CET. Play alone, with your friends, the LFG channel on our discord, or join a game through the server list. Wether alone or in a group, you can turn the wastelands into a prepper’s paradise.

Closed Alpha Wrap-up + Development Update

Hello Preppers!


It's been 2 weeks since we stopped the Closed Alpha playtest to focus on the next big milestone in Guntouchables' development - Steam Next Fest!

We didn't know what to expect from the Alpha playtest, so we were absolutely blown away by the results and the reception. An overwhelming 20.000 players signed up to participate in the Alpha playtest during the 13 days it was live, and the feedback we received was nothing short of invaluable. Bugs were reported, opinions were shared, and balancing was discussed... and we are learning so much! ːsteamhappyː

As you may suspect, two weeks is not nearly enough time to process all the feedback we received during the Alpha test. However, we have worked our butts off to include as many cool changes and features as possible. Especially for those players requesting an extra challenge! ːDevil2ː

  • Unlocked the 'Apocalypse' excursion
  • Added new boss to the 'Apocalypse' excursion
  • Added 'Natural Selection' Challenges for all excursions
  • Added Grenade launcher to the game, renamed old Grenade launcher to Rocket launcher
  • Added 'Explosion Radius Mod' for Launchers
  • Changed the Fire and Ice bullets to have an AoE
  • Fixed the Voucher perk
  • Decreased the reload time for the Assault Rifle
  • Increased Player's movement acceleration (To fix sluggishness while playing with controller)
  • Changed player 'Crates collected' to XP .
  • Changed weapon XP to 'mods installed'
  • Changed difficulty scaling between missions
  • Increased enemy health between missions significantly
  • Later Excursions have a faster threat timer
  • Added a new ingame shop, where you can unlock game content from

  • Changed the visuals for selecting excursion
  • Changed visuals for the destructible crates
  • Changed the visuals for bean cans
  • Changed the visuals on game-over and game-won showing amount of crates and beans the player collected

  • Added sounds to various buttons
  • Added ambient sounds to Baxter's Bazaar
  • Added crate destruction and can pickup sounds

[h3]Other:[/h3]
  • Added new Steam Achievements (29 in total)
  • Added gameplay pause in Single Player
  • Added Network settings in Options allowing players to manually choose their region
  • Updated Controller button mapping
  • Various other smaller bug fixes

Closed Alpha - Update Live

We have a small update to the playtest build going live as you are read this.

We’re only 2 days into the Alpha playtest, and we are blown away by your interest and dedication so far!!!

Thanks to your reports, we’ve already been able to fix multiple critical issues - huge thanks for that! ♥️

It’s also clear that a lot of you are looking for an even bigger challenge… This is something we cannot address right away, but it looks like we’ll need to step things up! 🔫 🩸

  • Added Controller support and icons
  • Added Boss Defeated title
  • Added some missing localization strings
  • Added colliders to walls in the cabins
  • Added sounds for Breeder Boss
  • Added voicelines when voting on enemy mutations
  • Updated the Breeder boss icon
  • Updated american-pistol name
  • Updated intro / outro for some bosses
  • Updated boundaries for voicelines so they dont overlap as much
  • Updated Ryan Gossip voicelines
  • Fixed bug where you could beat the Wartusk boss by dying in single player
  • Fixes a bug where you could soft lock in the upgrade screen by doubleclicking the weapon
  • Fixed sound bug for minigun
  • Fixed game names being empty on Replay

The Closed Alpha playtest is LIVE!

If you’re reading this, the Closed Alpha is officially up and running! Now's your chance to hop in and get a hands-on look at GUNTOUCHABLES as we work toward our Early Access release. Thanks to all those who signed up so far, and for all your support and enthusiasm!

If you signed up for the Closed Alpha but you don’t see your invite right this red-hot second, don’t panic. We’re sending the first 1,000 invites out today, and 1,000 more once we’re confident the game won’t explode. Then we’ll invite all the rest right as we approach the weekend, so everyone’s got plenty of time to play.

And you can still sign up for the playtest as long as it’s running! So if you’d like to invite a friend and take on the apocalypse together, go ahead and let ‘em know. They might have to wait until the weekend before their invite gets sent out, though.

It’s worth noting that this Closed Alpha is of course an early, work-in-progress version of the game, so you might run into bugs and unfinished bits. If you’d like to report a bug or give us your feedback, you can do so here on the Steam forums, or via the GUNTOUCHABLES Discord server.

We’ll keep the playtest open until February 10th at 13:00 CET, so go on and get gaming!
