0.5.241220 Update

Hello!

We would like to inform you of the details of the new update prepared based on the feedback we received from you!

(1) Added a new difficulty level and adjusted the existing difficulty levels

A new difficulty level, ‘Enjoyable,’ has been added!

This difficulty level is for those who want to play the game a little harder than the existing ‘Casual’ difficulty level, but a little easier than the ‘Courageous’ difficulty level.

The difficulty levels of ‘Casual’ and ‘Courageous’ have been adjusted slightly to make ‘Casual’ a little easier and ‘Courageous’ a little more difficult, and the amount of tribute money that must be paid each month has been adjusted to match the difficulty level. In addition, the amount of special tokens that players can earn at the time of monthly settlement has been adjusted starting from Chapter 2.

(2) Tutorials can be viewed on the stage

You can now view the contents of the tutorials you have learned so far through the ‘System > Game Guide’ menu on the stage.

(3) Added the feature to save after playing the last chapter

If you clear the stage that corresponds to the last story in the story provided in the current version, you can save the clear data. If a new story is added in the future, you can load the clear data and continue playing.

(4) Other convenience improvements
  • In the Lobby, a button has been added to skip the event played through the Collection.
  • Some UI has been improved to provide more friendly information regarding the success and failure of goals within a stage.
(5) Major bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where ‘Special Token’ should have been given according to the level of the tribute, but was given according to the rank.
    • If you start a new game, you will receive ‘Special Token’ according to the rules every time you complete the settlement every month
    • If you load existing saved data, you will continue to receive additional ‘Special Token’.
  • Fixed an issue where the monthly settlement rank and the money in Sara's pocket were not being saved properly.
    • When you load your previous data, all previous months will be recorded as cleared with S rank, and the amount of money in Sara's pocket will be recorded as an estimated amount based on the gold you have earned so far.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

(6) Other bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Game Guide’ list and the ‘Events’ list in the Collection were not updated on time.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would not progress if the amount of money earned each month was low on the monthly settlement screen.

A Sneak Peek of Our Future Gamedev Plans!



Hello Innkeepers!

It has been a month since the release of Dungeon Inn in early access, and the game’s Steam ratings seems to have stabilized at 92% positive reviews, and for that, we are incredibly touched. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank every single one of you for your support and invaluable feedback.



Ever since our early access release, we have fixed a number of bugs reported by our players, optimized the UI and localization, and improved the game’s overall experience. Following that, we are happy to announce that we are working on the features and items we mentioned in our roadmap. We are excited to share all this exciting new content with you in the near future!

Based on some of our players’ suggestions and feedback, these are the future plans for Dungeon Inn:

[h2]1. Room customization[/h2]

Many players have asked us to add room customization options. After some discussion, we have decided that this would be a terrific idea! In the future, we plan to allow players to unlock decorations and customize Sara’s room, giving a personal touch to your inn.

[h2]2. Full release's game length [/h2]

As we are experimenting with a unique gameplay, we wanted to collect feedback as early as possible to make sure Dungeon Inn will be fun for all of you! Hence, we chose to release it as an early access game. The current version is about a quarter of the full release’s intended amount of content. In the future full release, we plan to add more story chapters and even an endless mode, making the game’s length approximately 20 hours. (For a more detailed description of our update plans, please see the roadmap on our store page.)

For those who have already purchased the game in early access, rest assured there will be no additional fees and you will be able to enjoy the full release version with all its updated content for free. Once again, thank you for your patience and support!

[h2]3. Inn facilities and their upgrades will have a greater effect [/h2]

We have received feedback from players that adding and upgrading inn facilities did not have a noticeable effect. After some discussion, we intend to make the effect of upgrades more obvious. For example, we will be adding more abilities that will be unlocked through upgrading the inn, increasing the number of special events that are related to the inn facilities and their rewards, as well as enhancing the strategic experience and so on.

Please note that these changes will be rolled out gradually and incrementally, and we will be closely monitoring player feedback and making adjustments accordingly. This is to ensure that the full version’s upgrading system will be more interesting and satisfying!

[h2]4. Improving the game’s saving function [/h2]

Players have brought up the lack of save files for the final week. To resolve this, we will be implementing the save function for week 16 to ensure that when we update the game with new story chapters, there will be no need to replay previous chapters. Simultaneously, we will also provide an official save file that players can use to start the game directly from the latest point in the game.

Additionally, we will be adding a quick save slot that can be accessed from the main menu. Do you need to quit the game while you were in the middle of a stage? Or maybe you want to freely adjust your business strategies by loading mid-stage save files? With our upcoming quick save slot, you can save in the middle of stages without worries of losing your current progress!

Of course, on top of the abovementioned points, we will also be continuously optimizing the game’s difficulty level, adjusting weekly goals, improving the game’s UI, as well as gradually adding more and more adventurers, special events, challenges as well as exciting story development! 0.5.241205 Update: Temporary measures to improve game performance and Improve tr

Greetings Innkeeper,

We have made some changes to the game based on the feedback we received from you, and the changes are as follows.

  • Temporary measures to improve game performance
    • Keep the game running in background
    • Modify game default settings (Full screen on, vSync on)
    • Reduce the maximum frame rate to 60 fps
    • Other efforts to reduce stuttering in the game
  • Improved translations (Traditional Chinese, Japanese)


There have been occasional issues where the game does not run properly when the frame rate is set to a high setting, the vSync option is turned off, or when switching programs using Alt Tab, etc. Thanks for your understanding as this is a temporary measure to allow more people to play the game smoothly. We will continue to work on resolving the underlying issues.

0.5.241119 Hotfix - Bug fixes and UI/UX improvements

Hey Innkeepers!

We’ve received a lot of feedback from you, and we’ve addressed some of the issues in our latest update. Here’s the changelog:

  • Fixed volume initialization issue when switching scenes
  • Fixed an error that occurred when a button was quickly clicked on the title screen and save/load screen, and fixed an error displaying the selected language
  • Fixed UI display errors related to staff tokens
  • Fixed tooltip errors for some Happening Events
  • Improved May's extra quest (related to Expert / Novice Visitor).
  • Added emotes when adventurers encounter or are kicked out of the inn entrance.
  • Translation improvements (Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese)
