Farmer's Dynasty 2 - Turning old into new
Hello farmer!
Recycling is a big topic, because in a world where resources are limited, it is important to recycle and reuse existing materials. This is particularly important for initial repairs and makeshift solutions. Did you know that bricks from ancient Rome were reused, and some are still in buildings today? Wood can also be reused several times, whether through refurbishment or as a building material for new projects. This not only saves time, space and money, but also reduces the ecological footprint.
We have abstracted this form of recycling a bit and integrated it as a game mechanic in Farmer's Dynasty 2. You can now collect all the rubbish and debris on your farm and use it for the (makeshift) restoration of buildings. This idea is inspired by historical techniques where, for example, entire castles were built with stones from abandoned ruins in the Middle Ages. Of course, new building materials can be bought and used later, but recycling is an important first step!
