Meet Uguichu!

📢Uguichu is the mascot bird that loves to sing a tune. She believes she has a wonderful voice that everyone should hear. Not everyone agrees. But that’s none of her business, she’s going to keep singing. She sees herself as a poet, others see her as a poser, we have no comment.

🎤She is extremely uppity, constantly putting on a performance and showing off to anyone that will listen. Give it a rest Uguichu!
For a bird that HATES being interrupted, she sure doesn’t mind interrupting other people. She does have the most beautiful voice after all…

The path to redemption was never going to be easy for Michi, and unfortunately for him, dealing with mascots like Uguichu is a necessary evil. But if he can get this diva in check, truly anything is possible!

Developer notes:
Uguichu is based on the symbolic bird of Fukuoka, the Japanese bush warbler (uguisu). She has a plum blossom on her chest.

Meet Kaso-Koumori!

Kaso-Koumori is supposed to be the town’s official mascot, but it turns out he was only being used by the mayor in order to secure a grant (damn that crusty old geezer 😡) and was left out to dry. Very soon after arriving in town, he realised that he actually wouldn’t be getting any work, and worse than that, was stuck there with no way to leave! The worst! He even changed his name to fit in with the town, which just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished.

💮As Michi begins exploring the town, he finds that a long forgotten stamp rally is still operational. Kaso-Koumori can be seen on the stamp card, and the stamp itself, one poignant reminder of his very short-lived stint as a town mascot.

🦇Kaso-Koumori can be found hanging out at the mines most of the time, he’s big into bats and is desperate to hang out with them. This of course has nothing to do with him possibly (definitely) having a total complex about his always-on head lamp annoying everyone. Which it totally doesn’t, but he won’t be told. Okay maybe it annoys the bats. But that’s IT.
If you don’t like bats. I’m going to stop you right there, Kaso-Koumori has nothing to say to you.

Developer notes:
Kaso-Koumori came about when we began to imagine what kind of a mascot the mayor would hire for the town after his bad experience with Pinky☆. Kaso-Koumori is pretty much her opposite, quiet, reserved and easy to manipulate. Unfortunately the perfect prey for a crusty old geezer…

Meet Trororo!

🎨Designed by: Ikumi Nakamura & Mai Mattori

We know what you’re thinking, and no, it’s not that. It’s actually yam juice! Being covered in yam all the time proves to be a real blocker on career progression, as he could only find work promoting yam to the town's elderly population. This happy go lucky cat hasn’t let this stop him though.

📹He is obsessed with adult video, and has dreams of working in the AV industry to promote the responsible and ethical consumption of the genre. He wears his interests on his sleeves, and has no shame about his hobbies - good for you Trororo!
If there is one thing he hates though, it’s pixelation. Nothing irks him more, why is that there anyway? GET RID OF IT!

😻With bundles of sincere, slightly rebellious energy, Trororo wants to help Michi and everyone else in town be more confident in their interests, all while achieving his own dream of being the mascot for an adult video industry that protects and respects its workers

Developer notes:
His name was bestowed upon him by Nakamura-san and is a mix of tororo (yam) and troll as he wants to troll the censors. His design and name are of course based on the Japanese, sticky grated yam, which is often served on rice. Yummmmm
