  • Holding shift and clicking on selected unit portraits will deselect all units not of that type
  • Added hotkey to go to the building menu (B by default)
  • Improved the accuracy of unit selection, especially when units are bunched up together and increased unit radius's in some cases

Balance Changes
  • Slightly reduced the size of some waves

  • The wall placement grid will now appear in front of objects, making it easier to place walls behind buildings.
  • Unsupressed tiles will now be highlighted when placing buildings
  • All towers will show their range when placing towers or when a tower is selected
  • Selecting thumpers will show all suppressed tiles
Bug Fixes
  • Explosive force on gibs is now directional and scales with damage
  • Fixed building placement being broken in save games sometimes
  • Fixed spaceship marine lasers appearing too far in front of them
  • Minor GUI changes

Demo 1.001f - Worker balance and fixes

Balance Changes
  • Shutting down buildings will now release their workers. This will help solve players getting stuck after part of their base is destroyed and they are unable to build due to negative workers.
  • Gate and bunker health increased 200 -> 350


Bug Fixes
  • Fixed some situations where save games failed to load successfully
  • Fixed oxygen notification not appearing if houses are built too far away

Demo 1.001e - Minimap overhaul, Save game reset and more

Demo 1.001e

As well as balance changes and bug fixes this update includes an overhaul of the Minimap and save/load system. The changes to saving mean that file sizes should be 80-90% smaller. However, saved games from previous versions will not be forward compatible.

Reworked Minimap
  • Added an "Under Attack" location marker
  • Increased panel size
  • Redid the colors to make player units, resources and enemy locations easier to read
  • Made the horde direction marker more prominent when set


Balance Changes
  • Detonation Drone blast radius 1 -> 0.8
  • Detonation Drone Effort and Ore costs 40 -> 50, 2 -> 3
  • Detonation Drones will now lose control and explode/do damage in a random direction when destroyed


Other changes
  • Significantly reduced the size of save files.
  • Added a bar that tracks the cycle time under the effort resource
  • Improved performance when units are selected
  • Fixed lost colonies sometimes being claimed on map load
  • Increased the size of various GUI elements
  • If a skill is selected right clicking now cancels it instead of moving

Balance changes
I have slightly increased the rate of effort gain as players found it difficult to manage this when juggling upkeep costs in the early game. I've also reduced the impact of Flappers, especially in the second wave as that was ending a lot of runs unexpectedly. Finally, the health of some buildings has been increased.

  • Wall health 150 -> 180
  • Well and Thumper health 40 -> 50
  • Effort per professional 2 -> 2.5
  • Workers per solar 4 -> 3
  • Flapper health 30 -> 25
  • Flapper damage 5 -> 4
  • Flapper spawn chance in second wave reduced
  • Reduced The Brain's Flapper spawn chance buff
  • Gate health 150 -> 200
  • Tower health 60 -> 80


Bug Fixes


  • Fixed Armoury text
  • Fixed menus unpausing the game if the player manually paused
  • Fixed Module levels carrying across incorrectly in saved games
  • Cyborg and Centurion research should now unlock correctly
  • Fixed the well overlay displaying the incorrect water gain if tiles were blocked by connectors
  • Fixed the tile toggle overlay not updating if the game is paused
  • Fixed robotics overlay displaying the incorrect amount of effort gained
  • Restored previous UI scaling
  • Fixed lost colony building notifications displaying
