Intravenous 2 is a new top-down shooter with big Splinter Cell energy

Forgive me, but I'm going to sound like an entitled brat for a moment - it's been an unacceptably long time since we got a new Splinter Cell game. Sure, there's apparently a remake of the original in the oven over at Ubisoft, but it's been 11 years since we got any Sam Fisher action. Luckily, there are plenty of stealthy substitutes that can give entitled brats like myself a fix, and the latest, Intravenous 2, gives the formula a top-down twist.

The time has finally come!
Finally, I can say: Intravenous 2 is now out!
From those who supported me back at the release of the Intravenous to those who simply added the game to their wishlists during Steam Next Fest – I'm grateful for all the support you've given me throughout the development journey.

Your feedback, bug reports, opinions, and reviews over the course of the first game, the playtest, the "Mercenarism" prologue, and the Next Fest demo have helped shape Intravenous 2 into what it is today. I'm confident that if you liked the first game, then you will love what the second game has on offerand brings you a bit of that video game magic - the kind I grew up with and tried to replicate, as I look back on the games I used to play back in the 90s and early 2000s.

Very soon, I'll be back with news about the game's future support and our upcoming plans.
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and, of course, your bug reports. (hopefully in small quantities)

And for time being check out these two bundles:
1. Intravenous 2: Supporter Bundle
A bundle with OST composed by Xtrullor and 2 weapons for everyone who wants to support the development of the game beyond just buying the game. The Supporter Pack will get more weapons in future updates, too!
2. Intravenous 2 x Intravenous 1
Intravenous 2 releases on August 15th

Hey folks!

Intravenous 2 will be released very soon, the release is scheduled for August 15th - in other words, in just two days!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2608270/Intravenous_2/

In fact, the game was finished in June, and in the last two months I did nothing except for polishing the game, fixing bugs, and optimizing it. The result of this work you can clearly see - just recently the minimum CPU spec for the game was lowered!

With that said, it's time to finally announce the languages the game will support at launch:
 • English
 • German
 • French
 • Spanish
 • Brazilian Portuguese
 • Polish
 • Russian
 • Korean
 • Japanese
 • Simplified Chinese
 • Traditional Chinese
 • Turkish

Phew! In total the game has been in development for just over 2.5 years, and now, finally, you'll be able to play it.

Thank you all for playing the playtest, Mercenarism, and the most recent demo version, which was part of Steam Next Fest - your feedback, and bug reports, helped immensely in making this game as good as I could within the development timeframe.

I hope you guys like the game, as it is a very personal project for me, and not just because I've put a lot of time, effort, and passion into it.

See you very soon!
Prepare for the release of intravenous 2.

Minimum CPU Spec Reduction

Hey folks!

As someone who plays games, I take optimization very seriously.
When I was growing up, I couldn't afford to upgrade my computer often, and so it was always several generations behind.
I know very well what it's like to play games you've always wanted to play, only to have them run poorly.

That's why optimization was always a priority during the development of the game, and especially now, when I can focus my full efforts on optimizing it.
Updated minimum CPU specification

Old CPU requirement
Ryzen 3 1200 (2017, 4-core/4-thread) or equivalent
New CPU requirement
Intel Core i3-2125 (2013, 2-core/4-thread), AMD Phenom II X4 960 (2009, 4-core/4-thread) or equivalent

There are a lot of things happening under the hood in Intravenous 2 on the CPU, and all of it combined requires a decent amount of CPU power.
In the months leading up to the release of the game I was able to optimize various areas of the game to reduce CPU strain.
The end result is a smoother experience for everyone - from low-end machines, to high-end ones.

I've used my 2-core/2-thread 1.9GHz 3805U Pentium to evaluate the results of these optimizations, and while this processor is below the minimum spec by a factor of two, the game is still playable on it - not optimal, but playable, and being limited by the integrated graphics card more often than not.

Thanks for reading, hope you're excited for the game!
