- Fixed an issue where connecting stone cracks would cause the game to freeze.
- Fixed an issue with the [Cat] card being incorrect.
- Fixed an issue with the unlocking of Talents.
- Fixed an issue where the [Owl] would speak randomly when placed.
- Fixed an issue where the path above would be relocked after completing the game.
- Fixed an issue where items in the shop could not be clicked for purchase.
- Fixed an issue where follower cards would disappear unexpectedly.
- Fixed an issue where the [Owl] would fly back to the hand when returning to the forest, even if it was killed.

[h2]Optimizations[/h2]

- Optimized rendering performance by adjusting lighting rendering to reduce GPU consumption.
- Optimized the flickering effect of lightning in tutorial levels.
- Optimized the unlock prompt for the Alter, making it more obvious.
- Optimized the card description for [Forest Rat].
- Optimized the tutorial guide for water consumption in the tutorial levels.

- Adjusted the King Rat's health capacity from infinite to 200.
- Adjusted the card distribution rules: some cards now require unlocking outside the run before appearing in the random pool.
- Adjusted the water restoration effect of the [Fountain] card: now, [Fountain] cards drawn from the deck restore 20 water points only after being connected, instead of restoring immediately upon appearing.

- Added feedback in the ritual house in the forest when the connection sequence is incorrect.
- Added additional story content related to the [Owl].

Hello everyone, we are Rewinding Games, and our indie game "Roots Devour" is now available for free on Steam!

"Roots Devour" is a Lovecraftian-themed indie game where you play as a newborn ancient god, traversing a silent and eerie forest in search of offerings to connect with and consume.
The game combines strategy card mechanics with simulation elements. You'll explore the unknown forest, extend your roots, absorb blood and resources, build your deck, and use strategic planning to overcome challenges and uncover hidden truths.

The demo features the first chapter of the game, including the Deep Forest, the first map, and The Alter, the skill system. Estimated playtime ranges from 40 to 150 minutes, with certain elements offering replayability.
