New Adventures in Aphsaranta

The time has come, the new update is live on the European servers, and it’s all about Aphsaranta! Find out about all the changes you can look forward to in this post:

What’s New?

[h3]New seasonal item: Amulet[/h3]

• Let the power of Aphsaranta flow through you with new powerful amulets – available now!
• Amulets vary depending on the respective active lord (Vaizel/Triniel) and can be obtained from a corps administrator.
• They can be upgraded to level 10 with various materials and can be used until the leadership changes to another lord.
• You can acquire materials by completing activities in Aphsaranta, purchasing them from NPC merchants, completing quests or gathering.
• Amulets have buffs that can be activated and which vary in strength depending on the level and can only be used in Aphsaranta.

Powerful Amulet Buffs

• Lord’s Dream (Level 1 to 4): Increases your physical/magic attack by 200 for 10 sec.
• Lord’s Ambition (Level 5 to 9): Increases your physical/magic attack by 350 and your physical/magic defence by 80 for 20 sec.
• Vaizel’s/Triniel’s Call (Level 10): Increases your physical/magic attack by 800, your physical/magic defence by 400 and your resist magic by 120 for 40 sec.

[h3]Ultimate Transformations: Vaizel and Triniel[/h3]

• Two new
• Ultimate Transformations* are now available: Vaizel & Triniel.
• There are three new collections available containing the new transformations.
• The transformations for Vaizel and Triniel are available through the Ultimate Lord’s Transformation Chest (as with Nezekan and Zikel).
• You can get runes to upgrade the transformations in the Powerful Rune Chest.

[h3]New World Raid: The Lahmu Corps’ Air Raid[/h3]

• In this battle, countless Balaur must first be defeated in order to be able to destroy the commander at the end.
• The raid will start 30 hours after the start of the Adad Raid and will appear around the 7th and 8th Base.
• If the raid overlaps with other raids in Aphsaranta, the Air Raid will end and the time will be reset.
• Once you have defeated enough Balaur, you’ll receive a powerful buff for the fight against the final boss.
• As a reward for completing the Air Raid, you’ll receive materials to upgrade your amulet.

Shiver me timbers! Cap’n Grogget, Commander of the Shulack Pirates, is back. The captain of perhaps the most notorious ship in all of Atreia, the Steel Rake, is seeking his revenge upon the Daevas! He has locked away some Shugos in the Steel Rake Fortress and it is now your job to free them. But be warned: you’ll need all the courage you can muster to survive this adventure.

It will be worth the effort for more than just the Shugos. Scoop up some amazing items during the event, including the [Event] +9 Stigma Selection Box, [Event] Lord’s Sacred Water and the [Rune] Special Transformation Contract: Little Lamb Hanbok (70 types).

Running: 21st June to 12th July

[h3]Entering the Instance[/h3]

If you have reached level 80, you can enter the Steel Rake Fortress solo instance with each character once per day. Talk to the NPC Yeoruming in the fortresses in Inggison and Gelkmaros to be granted entrance to the instance. Entry will be reset every day at 9:00 AM (CEST).

[h3]Steel Rake Fortress[/h3]

Collect keys when storming the fortress to receive rewards. The more successful you are in the following tasks, the more keys you’ll get and the richer your rewards:

1. Battle your way into the fortress on a cool Jet Ski – it’s the only way to ride!
2. Rescue the Shugos from the clutches of the wicked bosses and pick up keys for the treasure chests.
3. After defeating Grogget, you’ll reach a secluded island, where you can receive the [Event] Freeze Frame from the treasure chests there.

[h3]Sales to NPC[/h3]

Yeoruming will offer you [Event] Steel Rake Fortress Entry Coins and [Event] Noble Treasure Chest Keys for a certain amount of Kinah.

The [Event] Noble Treasure Chest Keys are required for a particular chest which will appear on the solitary island in the Steel Rake Fortress after defeating Cap’n Grogget, and which contain the [Event] Freeze Frame in reward.

The [Event] Freeze Frames can be exchanged for many precious items from Kikirinerk, also available in the Inggison Illusion Fortress (Elyos) and Gelkmaros Fortress (Asmodians).

Please note: The event items [Event] Freeze Frame Bundle, [Event] Noble Treasure Chest Key, [Event] Steel Rake Fortress Entry Coin and [Event] Freeze Frame will be removed from the game after the event is over.

The Black Cloud Merchants are running their popular Shugo Game again! Play to win valuable prizes – including: Transformation Contract: Yustiel, +9 Extreme Armour Selection Box, the Romantic Beach Outfit and many more.

Running: 21st June to 12th July

To take part, you will need Shugo Game Tokens which can be purchased in the shop until 5th July. During the entire duration of the event, you’ll also get three free Shugo Game Tokens per week in the AION Shop.

[h2]How the Shugo Game Works[/h2]

1. Click on the Shugo symbol at the bottom-right of your screen to open the Shugo Game.
2. Then click on Continue to start the game. This will use a Shugo Game Token.
3. Try to upgrade the weapon to its maximum level (8) to earn the highest-level reward.
4. Any time you want, you can click on Stop to end the game and you’ll get the reward for the level you got up to.
5. It’s also possible for upgrading to fail. Should this happen, you will receive the level 1 reward. If you want to restart the game, you’ll need another Shugo Game Token.
6. Using Shugo Game Tokens fills the bar at the top with Shugo Game Points. Once it’s full, this triggers the Nyerk Fever. While active, your chances of successfully upgrading and of winning more valuable prizes both increase.

[h2]Notes[/h2]

• At the end of the event, the Lucky Coins will be removed from the AION Shop. The [Jakunerk] Shugo Game Tokens will be removed both from the AION Shop as well as the game.
• Logging out or switching characters while playing a Shugo Game will automatically give you the prize for the level you got up to. You cannot resume the game where you left off.
• If you reach level 6 or higher and the upgrade fails, you can use two additional Shugo Game Tokens to try again from the level you failed at.

[h3]Get More Power From Amulets[/h3]
Amulets are new seasonal items – you can upgrade them using materials that you receive for completing various activities in Aphsaranta. These amulets enable you to use a powerful Aphsaranta-exclusive ability!

[h3]Vaizel and Triniel Head Into Battle[/h3]
The start of the new season also means two new Ultimate Transformations: Vaizel and Triniel. Unleash their full potential by picking them up and completing your newly added collections.

[h3]The Lahmu Corps’ Air Raid[/h3]
Fight your way through the new world raid in Aphsaranta, which will appear at regular intervals around the 7th and 8th Bases. Defeat a horde of Balaur until you are strong enough to defeat the boss and claim your precious rewards – including materials to upgrade your amulet!

As mentioned in our previous news, our systems have been heavily impacted over the last 3 days by DDOS attacks, which also affected other games from our infrastructure.

While we have already implemented some extra measures, the attackers have definitely spent effort and time preparing their malicious activities which are affecting our team’s work, but sadly and above all, deteriorating your experience on our servers.

They are now continuously targeting us, but our team is still fighting back and will continue non-stop until servers come back to their original and stable state.

We are deeply sorry about the inconvenience caused and we understand and share your frustration. We can assure you that we will do all we can to put an end to this situation.
