Running: 20th January to 10th February



Atreia’s Union of Cat Mages has tasked Daevas with looking after and training their little cats. As a Daeva, it’s your duty to take on this responsibility. We’re confident you’ll be up to the job! If you succeed, your charge will become the greatest Cat Mage Atreia has ever seen.

Do you think you’re up to the challenge? In reward you can look forward to prizes such as the [Event] Box of Class A, Level 2-4 Minion Contracts, [Rune] Special Transformation Contract: Cat (64 types), and the [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types).


[h3]Cat Mage[/h3]
During the event you can pick up one [Event] Cat’s Egg per account in the AION Shop. After collecting your charge, you can get started straight away:



Looking After Your Feline

Talk to Greenhaven Kat in Inggison or Gelkmaros and enchant your cat with the [Event] Sphingidae Spell. Depending on your cat’s level, you’ll receive magical rewards if you’re successful.

Summon the cat from your inventory to receive daily quests. You’ll need to use the Sphingidae Spell to complete them. [Event] Winged Cat, [Event] Cat from an Egg, [Event] Enchanting Cat and [Event] Cat Mage Sphingia will also give you quests to complete.



The Sphingidae Spell

Hunt monsters in Inggison and Gelkmaros and with a bit of good fortune they may drop the [Event] Butterfly’s Enchantment Ore. Together with some Kinah and Slot Stones, this ore can be exchanged for the Sphingidae Spell from the Sphingis Stone.


[h3]Transform![/h3]
During the event you have the chance to transform into Dr Murr and Sister Meow. Pick up two exciting packages from the AION Shop containing the following contents:



Cat Transformation Chest

1x [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types)

50x [Rune] Special Transformation Contract: Cat (64 types) with a chance to get Dr Murr or Sister Meow

1x [Rune] Transformation Contract Fragment: Cat

The [Rune] Transformation Contract Fragment: Cat will be exchanged at the end of the event for a [Rune] Special Transformation Contract: Cat (64 types).



Legendary Cat Transformation Chest

1x [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types)

50x [Rune] Special Transformation Contract: Cat (64 types) with a chance to get Dr Murr or Sister Meow

100x Transparency Transformation Scroll

[h3]Rewards[/h3]

Note: The following items will be removed from the game at the end of the event: all event cats, [Event] Cat’s Egg, [Event] Butterfly’s Enchantment Ore, [Event] Sphingidae Spell, [Event] Butterfly’s Phenomenal Gift Box, [Event] Butterfly’s Magnificent Gift Box, [Event] Butterfly’s Fine Gift Box and [Event] Butterfly’s Gift Selection Box.

The rat MuMu has come across a hidden path that needs investigating, but a ferocious Wildcat has holed itself up in there. The Daevas have been asked to get rid of the Wildcat and other creatures. In reward for their services, they can expect to pick up valuable items such as the Ultimate Transformation Selection Box, Vision Weapons Selection Box and Bundle of Class S Minionite (30 pieces).

[h3]Enter the Hellpath[/h3]
MuMu will show you the entrance to the Hellpath which you can enter once per day (from level 76). This resets at 9 AM.


[h3]Stand Firm[/h3]
As soon as you enter the Hellpath, you’ll turn into a warrior with special abilities. Use these against waves of enemies, and put up a staunch defence.

Once you complete the instance, Camo Chests will appear for you to loot. Opening the chests requires keys which can either be earned in the game or purchased in the AION Shop.

Monsters will also drop Energy of Protection. Destroying this gives you a currency which you can spend on weapons for the instance, as well as improvements to your skills.


[h3]The Wildcat[/h3]
During your battle on the Hellpath, you’ll meet the Wildcat which MuMu is so afraid of. Defeat it and then grab the Incognito Key which enables you to open a door and gain access to a Gold Camo Chest. Just note that you’ll lose this key as soon as you leave the instance.


[h3]Rewards[/h3]
After overcoming a certain number of waves, you’ll face the final boss who gives you your last reward. The rank you get depends on how well you do, and only ranks S and A earn prizes… B to F and you go home empty-handed!

• Rank S: At least 10:00 minutes still on the clock and you’ve earned at least 500,000 points. Reward: 3x Camo Chest and 10x Experience Crystal
• Rank A: At least 7:30 minutes still on the clock and you’ve earned at least 220,000 points. Reward: 1x Camo Chest and 6x Experience Crystal

[h3]AION Shop Offers[/h3]
During the event you can pick up Camo Chest Keys and Entry Scrolls for the Contaminated Hellpath in the AION Shop.





Note: The event items Incognito Key, Camo Chest Key and Entry Scroll for the Contaminated Hellpath will be removed from the game and AION Shop after the event.

[h3]Minion Awakening[/h3]
Beat your enemies to pulp – now with better minion stats:

If you have a class S level 4 minion, you can upgrade it to an awakened version and unlock a second slot for a further minion. The awakened class S minion will then benefit from the stats of this second minion.

And best of all, awakening your minion cannot fail – it’s 100% guaranteed!


[h3]Jorgoth’s Weapons[/h3]
Jorgoth’s weapons have a reputation as the strongest in all Atreia. Now it’s time for you to try them out yourself and unleash them on your enemies! If Jorgoth’s half-finished gear winds up in your hands, equip it and reach the next level! Once acquired, the new weapons get two further levels for you to upgrade them to.

Incidentally: swords, greatswords, daggers, polearms, maces and staffs have an increased range after the update.

Materials for crafting weapons can be earned by dismantling Jorgoth’s weapons and Jorgoth’s half-finished weapons. These weapons can be looted from bosses and instances.


[h3]Adjusted Skill Effects[/h3]
It’s our priority to ensure that playing AION is as fun as it can be, which is why we’ve also tweaked and improved the skill effects for each class.

[h3]Collecting Ice Cubes[/h3]
The ice cubes come in eight different levels. You can pick up the [Rune] Ice Cube (Level 1) as an individual item or in bundles in the AION Shop:

• Shugo Ice Pack
• Frosty Shugo Gold Pack
• Frosty Shugo Enchantment Pack
• Frosty Shugo Stigma Pack

In the spirit of the season, Ailinerk also has a free gift for you – pick up 3x [Rune] Ice Cube (Level 1) per week and account absolutely free!

You also have a chance to earn Ice Cubes in rewards chests for the solo instance Lower Udas Temple.

Each Ice Cube (Level 1) contains either an Ice Cube Fragment or an Ice Cube (Level 2). As the level increases, so does the value of the reward. The final reward can be earned with an Ice Cube (Level 8).


[h3]Trading with the Ice Witch[/h3]
Trade with Ailinerk to exchange your level 4-7 ice cubes and a little Shugo Gold for a higher level cube. For example, you can swap 2x Ice Cube (Level 4) + 15 Shugo Gold for an Ice Cube (Level 5).
