Greetings, Daeva!

As you will likely have already heard in our latest episode of The Daeva’s Tavern, we will be stopping the support of three of our game languages with update 7.0: Italian, Polish and Spanish.



If you currently play AION in Italian, Polish and Spanish, please select a different language once update 7.0 starts. The translations of old game content in these languages will be removed with the update. The news on our website will for now continue to be available in all languages. The same applies for the forum and our Support, who will respond to questions from players in all the usual languages as before.



The decision to halt three of our game languages is unfortunately necessary: AION is currently being played by fewer players than it was a few years ago. The translation of regular and extensive updates into six languages demands a lot of time as well as a lot of our resources and we have decided that these would be better placed elsewhere. We want to continually improve the quality and game experience in AION.

We believe that halting part of the translation will help us to reach our aim of getting updates and patches that are already available in Korea to our European players faster. Additionally this provides us with resources that we wish to use to test new game content from Korea. This gives us the chance to drastically reduce the amount of bugs and problems that arise in events and permanent features.

This change allowed us to complete the coming update much faster than usual. We are convinced that we can use this to provide you with some fantastic updates in the coming years.

Now we turn our attention to when AION 7.0 goes live: keep checking here as you’ll find more on the update published soon on our website. So keep your eyes peeled for our next news post!

It’s time: We’re announcing the winners of our grand Pirate Contest! AION players had till 12/6/2019 to impress us with creative fan snapshots - and for the best snapshot we're now presenting the hard-earned reward!


We were overwhelmed by the huge amount of fantastic submissions! It is rare that such a decision is so hard for us as we tried to decide upon the winners. The top 5 entries will receive valuable in-game prizes from the brand-new Pirate collection as well as an AION t-shirt and a plush Shugo.

You read it right: the PvP seasons are back! It gets started straight away, as you can already show off your moves in two of our arenas.


Gear up for the fight, enter the arena and defeat your enemies. Rewards include ancient, legendary and ultimate Enchantment Stones, the title of ‘Lonely Victor (14 days) and Kinah.


Starting 5th June, the battles will take place in the following arenas:

• Arena of Discipline
  
• Arena of Cooperation
  

The season will run for 28 days. As soon as this period ends, the best fighters will receive their rewards and a new season will begin. Find out if you have what it takes to become a champion!

Running: 5/6 – 19/6


The Black Cloud Merchants are again running their popular Shugo Game in which you can win valuable prizes – including the following items:


The [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (7 types), [Rune] Selection Box of Ancient Transformation Contracts (18 types), the Daevanion Skill Chest (10 types), the Battle-hardened Admiral's Robe and the Noble Tailcoat.





To take part, you will need Shugo Game Tokens, which you can purchase in the shop from 5/6. During the event period you will receive three Shugo Game Tokens for free in the AION Shop.

• Open the Shugo Game by clicking on the Shugo symbol at the bottom-right side of the screen.
  
• Then, by clicking on 'Continue', the game will start and a Shugo Game Token will be used up.
  
• Try to upgrade the weapon to the maximum level (8) to then earn reward of the highest level.
  
• Naturally you can click on 'Stop' at any time to end the game and collect the reward for the level that you have attained.
  
• The upgrading can also fail. Should this happen, you will receive the reward for level 1. If you wish to start from the beginning, you will need another Shugo Game Token.
  
• By using Shugo Game Tokens, the upper bar fills with Shugo Game Points. Once it is full, the Nyerk Fever begins. As long as this is active, your chances of successfully upgrading increase and it is more likely that you will win more valuable prizes.
  

Notes:

• You will automatically be given the prize for the level that you got to if you log out or switch to a different character while participating in the Shugo Game. The game cannot be continued.
  
• If you reach level 6 or higher and the upgrade fails, you will be able to use two additional Shugo Game Tokens to try again from the level that you failed at.
  
• The event items will be removed from the game once the event completes with the next server maintenance on 26/6.
