AION 7.9 is now live on the European servers, and everything in this update revolves around the legions. Find out about all the changes you can look forward to in this post:


[h3]What’s New?[/h3][h3]Powerful Legions[/h3]
The system for legion contribution has been reworked, giving you the chance to do more for your legion. The rankings no longer revolve around Abyss points, but are influenced by contributions, so your legion becomes more powerful if you and other members are active for it.


[h3]Pangaea Returns[/h3]
This event will start shortly after the update’s release. Spread your wings and join the battle for Pangaea! In this seasonal event, you must fight for your legion, and of course enjoy the chance to take to the skies as so many AION players have been asking! We’ll publish a separate news post including all the important details on this event soon.


[h3]The Labyrinth[/h3]
Enter a new and exciting instance: the Labyrinth! Get ready to meet some familiar faces who have only one thing on their minds: stopping you from leaving the Labyrinth alive!


[h3]Share Your Power[/h3]
Put your strength on display: you can now share your stats with other players, making it easier to find worthy allies for your next rampage through AION’s instances.


[h3]Transformation contract: Kaisinel[/h3]
Player feedback is really important to us, and as so many AION fans have requested that the Transformation Contract: Kaisinel be made available in the game, that’s exactly what we’ve done!

A mysterious informant has told the Daevas that two new magical recipes have been discovered in Atreia! In order to profit from this discovery, the Daevas have to use the so-called ‘Joker Card’. The card lets you craft valuable boxes that can contain Transformation Contracts ranging from ancient to ultimate.

As part of this event, Daevas can look forward to items like [Rune] Joker’s Premium Transformations (32 types), [Rune] Joker’s Amazing Transformations (14 types) and the [Rune] Joker Chest: Noble Greater Transformations!

Running: 14/4 to 5/5



How it works:

You can get what you need to make the Transformation Contracts in the AION Shop – grab yourself the packs below:

• Legendary Joker Transformation Pack
• Joker Card Pack
• Joker Transformation Pack

You can also bag the [Rune] Joker Card 1x per account for free (only available until 28th April).


[h3]Magical Crafting[/h3]
Two new recipes for Magical Crafting will be available for you to make during the event:

Recipe #1

You’ll need 6 Joker Cards to be able to make the [Rune] Joker’s Premium Transformations (32 types). You can use this to receive ancient, legendary or ultimate Transformations.

With a little luck, you can even make [Rune] Joker’s Amazing Transformations (14 types). As a reward for your effort, these give you legendary or ultimate Transformations.



Recipe #2

You’ll need [Rune] Joker’s Amazing Transformations (14 types) as well as 3 Joker Cards; with a little luck, you’ll be able to make the [Rune] Joker Chest: Noble Greater Transformations. If you don’t manage to do that, you’ll receive [Rune] Joker’s Amazing Transformations (14 types)

The [Rune] Joker Chest: Noble Greater Transformations contains the [Rune] Legendary Joker Transformation Box (27 types) or the [Rune] Ultimate Transformation Selection Box (4 types).

The [Rune] Legendary Joker Transformation Box (27 types) in turn contains legendary Transformations (as well as Apostle, Hanbok Pixel and Halloween Transformations) for you to have fun with.


[h3]Transformation Fusion[/h3]
From 28/4 to 5/5 you can also benefit from an especially powerful Transformation Fusion:

If you fuse two or three legendary Transformations during this period, but the fusion fails, the result cannot revert to an ancient Transformation. You will get a legendary Transformation back instead.







Please note: The item [Rune] Joker Card will be removed from the game at the end of the event.

A lot of players have been clamouring for more opportunities to stretch their wings. We’re now very pleased to announce the return of the battle for Pangaea to AION! In this seasonal event, you must fight for your legion, and of course enjoy the chance to take to the skies!


[h3]Don’t Lose Your Way![/h3]
A challenging new instance makes its appearance in the form of the Labyrinth! Designed for 2 to 6 heroes from level 80, prepare to meet some old acquaintances (who won’t be too pleased to see you)!

Running: 31st March to 14th April
Rewards: 14th April to 21st April

Want to make your Daeva even more powerful and teach your enemies the true meaning of fear? Now’s the perfect opportunity! During this event the enchantment chances for Daevanion skills are increased, while an NPC will sell you Daevanion items in exchange for the event currency. Plus you’ll find special offers in the AION Shop to make your hero even stronger!

During the event you can get your hands on items such as the [Rune] Daevanion Skill Selection Box (10 types), the [Rune] Daevanion Essence or the [Rune] Enhanced Sports Tournament Skill Card Bundle.



How it works:
[h3]Enchant[/h3]
Offers in the Shop

During the event you can pick up some special bundles in the AION Shop. Each includes the [Rune] Daevanion Skill Selection Box (10 types), the [Rune] Daevanion Essence and a [Rune] Expert’s Letter of Recommendation:

• Small Daevanion Expert Set
• Medium Daevanion Expert Set
• Large Daevanion Expert Set

Enchantment Chances

The chance of enchanting Daevanion skills is increased during the event, so make the most of it!


[h3]Become a Daevanion Expert[/h3]
The [Rune] Expert’s Letters of Recommendation found in the shop bundles can be exchanged for selection boxes containing Daevanion skills and Daevanion Essence in various amounts from Clerkrinerk. You’ll find her in the Inggison Illusion Fortress or the Gelkmaros Fortress.


[h3]Special Rewards[/h3]
If you manage to enchant your Daevanion skills to +15 during the event, you’ll receive a special reward in the form of the [Rune] Enhanced Sports Tournament Skill Card Bundle! This allows you to customise the appearance of some of your skills.

If you enchant 2 of your skills, you’ll receive 1 special reward; for 4 skills you get 2 special rewards. These will be delivered via the AION Shop during the reward period, and can be collected via ‘Manage bonuses’.





Note: The event item [Rune] Expert’s Letter of Recommendation will be removed from the game one week after the end of the event.

You know that feeling? Hopping and bounding through the fields, the grass under your hooves, the wind in your fur? Of course you don’t, you’re a Daeva, not a mount! Let’s see if we can change that…

Slip on the mantle of a fabulous mount and take part in our big farm race! Win valuable prizes such as the [Rune] Vision Weapons Chest, the [Event] Locked Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types) and [Extra] Locked Transformation Contract Random Box (Mouse/Keyboard Ranger).



Running: 24/3 to 14/4.


[h3]How it works:[/h3]
In this event, two teams of 3 Elyos and 3 Asmodians will transform into cute animals and go head-to-head in a grand prix. They must overcome obstacles and use special abilities to get the better of their opponents.

Brave participants earn delicious chocolate rings at the end of the race, which they will hopefully refrain from eating long enough to exchange them with Shugolaf for precious rewards.


[h3]Taking Part[/h3]
Joining the race couldn’t be easier, simply open the ‘Request Entry’ menu to take part.


[h3]Pick An Animal[/h3]
Which animal do you prefer? A difficult choice when they’re all this cute:

• Hippo
• Cuddly Sheep
• Tabby Bunny Hat
• Bunny with Hat
• Tetragon Hopper
• Goldsqueak

Use the Ringbearer Transformation Machine at the start to transform yourself. The animals’ basic abilities are identical, but during the race you can pick up special abilities to use against your competitors to get the edge.


[h3]On Your Marks…[/h3]
Set. Go! But don’t forget the coach’s word in your ear:

• Work together with your teammates, overcome the obstacles and use your abilities against the opposing team.
• You’ll only have one basic ability at the start. Keep your eyes peeled for the four special abilities found in the form of orbs on the track.
• The Teleport, Cleansing, Snaring and Shackling Orbs all reappear 5 seconds after being collected.
• Using a special ability consumes the orb, so be sure to use them wisely!

[h3]Rewards[/h3]
So you’ve given it your all and want to reap your just rewards? Couldn’t be simpler.

All participants in the winning team will be rewarded with an [Event] Beautiful Chocolate Ring. The losing team gets an [Event] Melted Chocolate Ring.

Winners will receive 6 [Event] Bundles of Rukibuki Coins from Shugolaf in exchange for their chocolate ring. Participants from the losing team shouldn’t feel too down on their luck – they will still get 3 [Event] Bundles of Rukibuki Coins for their chocolate ring.

You can exchange the coin bundles with Lady Barok in the Inggison Fortress or Baron Baroka in the Gelkmaros Fortress for valuable rewards.


[h3]Shugolaf’s Quests[/h3]
Shugolaf has two missions for you: a weekly quest and a quest that you can only complete once. You’ll be rewarded with an [Event] Bundle of Rukibuki Coins after completing these tasks.
