Steam Build # 25548 - Butcher’s Circus Hotfix

Darkest Dungeon
  • Fixed a softlock issue in the Siren fight if a mind-controlled hero does from a heart attack.
  • Crash fix for when a mind-controlled hero kills an enemy with an actout in the Siren fight.


Shieldbreaker
  • Guard Break in single player no longer has overlapping pop text displays


The Butcher’s Circus
  • Fixed an issue with an incorrect check occuring when comparing enemy party to info on the server
  • Implemented some fixes for several desyncs/disconnect issues. (This should improve stability, but we are still working on more solutions beyond what is contained here)
  • Heroes should have their correct corpses on results screen in the Circus


Known Issues
  • Mac and Linux users should use the “pretbclinuxmac” Steam beta branch to avoid crashing on startup.
  • We are aware of the single player stuttering issues, and will look to resolve these as soon as possible.

Week 13: Mod Showcase

The Phantom by O'Nightmare! and Hooded_Lay

This class is based on the typical Rogue/Thief archetype, if they were embraced by religion. Stealth and mark play work together with shuffles as a setup for the Phantom to deliver powerful critical hits, besides him coming with his own little arsenal of tricks and the assassin's favorite: venom, from a snake's fangs to his weapons, to be used whenever you deem it fit! A concocted item which adds a damage dealing debuff, similar to blight, to all his attacks.

The Zenith by Dem and Adon

The Zenith approaches the Hamlet with an unwavering smile on his lips. He's an acrobatic fighter who cuts with his charm and his spear. With an oath in service to the god of honor and brotherhood, the Zenith inspires calm in his allies through bravado; helping to distract them from the horrors of adventuring. When required, he can set aside his jovial attitude and manifest the power of the Golden Janissary Style. This combat style affords great flexibility powering up combination moves to prepare for a devestating final attack that strikes out against eldritch and unholy enemies with righteous fury. His dedication to being an inspiring sun for his allies comes at the cost of his durability. He is an unarmored, mobile dancer who moves through the ranks of his allies. The Zenith's hedonistic personality will neither amuse the pious nor inspire trust in people with impressionable spouses.

Darkest Dungeon
  • Fixed - Faster drag detection was restored back for single player(dragging should be less laggy)
  • CRASH FIX: Attack Friendly Actouts of Siren controlled heroes will no longer cause a game crash.


The Butcher’s Circus
  • Improved Results screen logic to help prevent the player from being stuck in an animation.
  • Fixed an issue with Prestige results should no longer become inaccurate after the second match or later since booting the game.
  • Fixed an issue with the results screen sometimes showing max prestige even without opening all rewards.
  • Fix for the MaxPrestige achievement, it should no longer falsely trigger.
  • Fixed - On results screen, opponent corpses use the visual variant of your heroes, not theirs which resulted in visual errors for some.


KNOWN ISSUES
  • Mac and Linux users should use the “pretbclinuxmac” Steam beta branch to avoid crashing on startup.

Steam Build # 25544 - Butcher’s Circus Hotfix

We are still working to get improvements to the connection stability for players. This hotfix hopefully addresses some of those issues but also contained 2 common softlock and crash issues we wanted to resolve for those being affected. We will have more updates in the next day or so for other issues as we work through them.

  • Potential fix for random crashes during circus logic(circus, matchmaking, fights...)
  • Fixed multiple dazed heroes are causing softlock in match due AI not selecting any of them
  • Fixed game crashes on provision screen
  • Fixed an issue with requesting info from server

We are hard at work behind the scenes to improve stability and help track down and squash bugs. Thanks again for all your help in reporting issues.


Darkest Dungeon
  • Fixed softlock when using Guard Break skills while The Butcher's Circus is not installed


The Butcher’s Circus
  • Fixed visual hero mods resulting in multiplayer heroes appearing as white boxes
  • Fixed an issue that caused single player hero mods to inadvertently cause desyncs in multiplayer.
  • Adjusted the Narration VO variants when opponent is starting their turn. The buffoons will be slightly less.... flummoxed.


Modding
  • Fixed “.battle_complete_combat_skill_id skillname” no longer triggering .type "move" skills
  • Fixed “.kill target effect” to work as before
  • Fixed an issue that caused “move” type skills to not apply buffs.
  • Fixed an issue that caused death effects to apply on both allies and enemies


Known Issues
  • Mac and Linux users should use the “pretbclinuxmac” Steam beta branch to avoid crashing on startup.
  • Desync logs aren’t being created by non-debug builds currently.
  • The fix to the Guard Break softlock is now causing some visual fx issues which do not impact gameplay.
