Difficulty Rebalance
I've made some adjustments to new levels.

Choppa Nerf!
HP and speed of Choppas has been reduced, they're still a threat but now less tanky.


ːSBpenguinː [h2]Bug Fixes - Demo/Alpha[/h2]

  • Fixed a bug causing abilities to lock out during boss encounters if the Beast is destroyed.
  • Fixed (hopefully) AI problem causing Choppas to walk back and forth.
  • Fixed a bug causing secondary attacks to cancel out and reset attack cooldowns.
  • Enemies no longer get bunched up when stunned.
  • Fixed a bug causing Choppas to be invisible to Frog sometimes.
  • Fixed a bug causing the second upgrade path not removing the correct energy amount.
  • Fixed a bug causing enemies immune to status effects spamming the word "immune".

Dev Log 19th August - Demo Fixes and Full Game Updates!

I have finished the first world in Bean Beasts along with improving performance and removing bugs! Some of these changes apply to the Demo and others for the full game only.

New Music
For the second half of Azure Meadows the music is remixed to be slightly darker.

First World Complete
All levels, bosses and endless maps have been created for the first world.

Azure Endless 2 Rebalance
I've adjusted enemy levels, multipliers and income generation for 1-E2.


ːsteamthisː [h2]What's New - Demo & Alpha[/h2]

Dynamic health bars
Enemy health bars now only appear once they take damage.

Box Repair Penalty
I've added a countdown penalty increase for continuously repairing Boxes.

Updated Map
Map layout has been updated with artwork to accommodate new levels in the full game.

Cactus Special
Cactus special now does Earth type damage.

Cannon Bomber Does Fire Damage
Cannon bomber upgrade damage type switched to fire.

Enemy Weight Changes:
Moss Runners are now normal weight, making them vulnerable to Flippers and Cannons.


ːSBpenguinː [h2]Bug Fixes - Demo/Alpha[/h2]

Ability Button Bug
Fixed a bug causing abilities to grey out when activated during a wave on Endless Mode.

Frog Not Shooting Boss
Fixed a targeting issue causing some Towers to not shoot at large bosses.

Flipper Reaction Time Fix
Sometimes Flippers would react too slowly for faster enemies.

Nodes on Trees (1-5)
Sometimes nodes would appear on Tree tiles when they shouldn't.

Tree Build Problems
Fixed a bug causing Traps built on tiles where trees used to be disappearing.

Flipper Issues
Fixed an issue causing enemies to fly too fast over "holes" and then teleport onto random tiles.

Magic Shard Collection
On 1-9 sometimes collectables would re-appear, this should no longer happen.

Gem Count Correction
Total Gems on the progress panel have been corrected to 224.

Additional Minor Fixes
Fixed some other small bugs and graphical details.

I wanted to share some levels I've been working on for Azure Meadows! ːer_waveː


Here we have rain, an apple tree to defend and a new environmental hazard: Thorns!

This maze will teach players the strategic value of Boxes - we also get to meet (and pet) Dog!

The second cave level will be much more challenging than the first and has fun giant mushrooms!

The first world is nearly finished, just one more level and an endless map to make!

German Added plus Localisation Bug Fix!

Hi All,

I've been working on language support so it's been mostly string tables, spreadsheets and emails for the past couple of weeks! This may not be as exciting as creating enemies or music but I do find it very rewarding to see the game in another language!

[h2]Bean Beasts can now be played in the lovely language of German! [/h2]

To my German speaking followers, if you spot any incorrect words, typos or formatting errors I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know ːsteamthisː



[h2]Major Bug Fix - Missing Text![/h2]

There was a complication with the localisation package that would round decimal place numbers to whole ones. I believe I have fixed this error, please log a bug report if you notice any missing text! ːsteamthisː
