Grounded 2 modding kicks off with cockroaches dressed as clowns, which is good for bugphobes, so long as they aren't also circusphobes

Some people don't like cockroaches. I've always found them to be reliable mounts for the tiny gnome army via which I'll one day conquer the world. Anyway, forget I wrote that. Grounded 2's come out this week, and as such folks have fired up their modding machines and got to work tweaking the garden survival extravaganza to their liking.

Let's see here, we've got some of the usual useful changes, texture swaps, and...ah. A mod designed to help folks who're afraid of cockroaches. It'll do just that, provided you're not also terrified of clowns, or bugs vaguely dressed like them.

Hotfix 0.1.1.2 Has Been Released

[p]We have released Hotfix 0.1.1.2 for all players. Please update your game when you see that this hotfix is available to receive the following fixes and changes:[/p]

[p]Fixed a crash for Steam players when players launch the game without Gaming Services enabled. [/p]
- [p]This fix disables Crossplay from being enabled. If you don't have Gaming Services installed, you can download Xbox Services through the Xbox app and will be able re-enable crossplay after a restart.[/p]

Grounded 2's early access gets off to a flying start as Obsidian detail the next year of updates

Obsidian's survival game Grounded 2 has launched into early access, and the developers have one of those old-timey roadmaps explaining how it will change before the 1.0 release, give or take a few teasing redactions. This being a game about miniaturised children fighting insects, of course, the road in question may be only a few metres long. A garden pathmap, perhaps? Let's have a look, then.

I wasn't expecting Grounded 2 to arrive so soon after the first, but I'm already quite excited to delve into the undergrowth. The original is a delightful spin on survival games, and teaming up with friends to overcome the threat of giant ladybugs and spinders ended up being one of my surprise favorite co-op experiences in recent years. Now, it's back, and the sequel is arriving via Xbox Game Preview very soon.
