🧵 Potions, Pirates, and Peril – New Faces and New Mysteries in Otari! ⚗️

Hail, adventurers!

Another exciting moment has passed, and we're thrilled to share everything that's been happening in the world of Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults! Strap in for a roundup of your feedback, gameplay highlights, and some surprises coming your way!
Amelia Candlebright: The Seamstress with a Pirate’s Past
New in Otari, but no stranger to adventure, Amelia Candlebright is here to stitch together more than just fine outfits! Once a daring pirate, she’s traded the high seas for high fashion, using plundered fabrics and battle-hardened needlework to craft armor worthy of any adventurer. Her shop, Talia’s Tailoring Emporium, is a treasure trove of expertly stitched gear, rune-imbued embroidery, and a few secrets hidden in its seams. But who is Talia? A lost companion? A pseudonym she can’t quite remember to use?

They say Amelia sees things others miss—rivalries, alliances, and truths buried under layers of deception. She won’t tell you what to do, but if you listen closely, her wisdom may just be the key to your next great discovery. And if you’re up for a bit of treasure hunting, well… let’s just say old habits die hard.
More About Amelia Candlebright
A Life Sewn from Adventure – Once the captain of *The Thimble*, a ship as unassuming as its name but deceptively swift, Amelia ruled the seas with a sharp mind and an even sharper wit. Whether she was smuggling contraband or plundering cargo, she always made sure her ship and crew were in pristine condition—something that naturally translated into her masterful tailoring.

A Stitch in Time… and Magic – Amelia’s creations aren’t just stylish—they’re woven with magic. Using an ancient art of runecrafting through embroidery, she stitches protective wards and hidden messages into the fabric of every piece she makes. To the untrained eye, it’s just fine threadwork. To the adventurer in the know, it could be the difference between life and death.

A Keen Eye for More Than Fashion – Though she keeps her thoughts to herself, Amelia sees through people. Years at sea have taught her to read a crew, and that skill carries over to the tangled relationships in Otari. If she ever chooses to share an observation, you'd best listen—because she’s already figured out how the threads of fate are weaving together.

Treasure Hunting Never Ends – Even in retirement, Amelia's love for the thrill of the hunt hasn’t faded. Her personal quests often involve hidden caches, sunken ships, and legendary artifacts, and she might just need the help of a few capable adventurers to retrieve them. You didn’t think she settled down for good, did you?

Ready to don a cloak stitched with secrets? Need a coat strong enough to withstand a cutlass and a fireball? Or are you simply drawn to the stories Amelia Candlebright refuses to tell? Find out when you visit Talia’s Tailoring Emporium!
Meet Glimm Fizzletop – The Mad Genius of The Alchematorium!
Adventurers, hold onto your flasks—because Glimm Fizzletop has rolled into town! This wise-cracking, potion-slinging gnome has set up his legendary wagon, The Alchematorium, in Otari, and he’s ready to mix, brew, and maybe slightly explode his way into history!

Glimm’s passion for alchemy is unmatched, and his thirst for discovery pushes him to the very limits of what’s “safe” (and sometimes well beyond). Need potions? He’s got ‘em. Want something experimental? He’ll even let you mix your own—but don’t! His quests will send you on thrilling ingredient hunts, from the depths of Gauntlight Keep to the most forbidden corners of the wilds. While being new to Otari—but no stranger to its history—he’s especially interested in anything new, powerful, or strange…

But behind the bubbling cauldrons and witty remarks, Glimm carries a secret—one that has driven him from his past life in Absalom and fuels his obsession with the ultimate potion. Will your adventurers uncover the truth? Will Glimm finally discover the perfect combination of ingredients that he seeks?

Potion-crafting, rare ingredients, and alchemical chaos await! Who’s ready to help Glimm push the limits of magic and science? Let us know in the thread!
More About Glimm Fizzletop
A Mind That Never Rests – Glimm doesn’t just make potions—he invents them. He’s spent his entire life testing the limits of alchemy, always convinced that the next discovery will be his greatest. If you ask him about a potion, be prepared for an enthusiastic (and probably way too detailed) lecture on how it was made, how it could be improved, and why it’s just what you’re looking for in your time of need. Trust him!

A Collector… of Everything – Glimm can’t resist a rare ingredient, no matter how dangerous, volatile, or possibly cursed it might be. If it’s new, he needs it. His wagon is a chaotic mess of half-labeled vials, bubbling experiments, and dusty old tomes filled with cryptic notes in the margins. He insists there’s a system to it… but not everyone in Otari agrees… especially Magiloy, who has been known to mix a brew or two in her time.

Haunted by the Past – Though he’s built a reputation as a skilled alchemist, whispers from Absalom suggest otherwise. Some say he fled after a terrible accident, one that left a permanent mark on his soul. As adventurers help him track down exotic ingredients, they may start to unravel the truth: his ultimate potion isn’t just a scientific pursuit—it’s an act of redemption.
Help Glimm, Uncover His Secrets, and Brew Some Chaos!
Want a potion that makes you run faster than a horse? How about one that lets you breathe fire… but also maybe hiccup explosions? If you’re up for experimental alchemy, The Alchematorium is open for business—just don’t ask about the burn marks on the walls.

What kind of alchemical disaster do you see Glimm getting into?
The Adventure Begins: The Dangerous Road to Otari
Now, let’s pull back the curtain on the first environment in the adventure—the dangerous road that winds its way to Otari, leading the adventurers to the legendary Gauntlight Keep.

Our design team has crafted a landscape that blends ancient ruins with eerie natural beauty, where every cobblestone and weathered monument whispers tales of lost eras.

Expect a medley of environmental puzzles, hidden lore, and encounters with mysterious denizens that challenge your resolve.

The road to Otari sets the stage for the ominous grandeur of Gauntlight Keep, with its winding paths, unexpected ambushes, and breathtaking vistas that will captivate your imagination and keep you on the edge of your seat.
Behind the Art: The Magic of Conceptual Creation
Ever wondered how we create these concept arts we showed in the past?

Our artists employ a process that transforms raw game captures into works of art. Starting with close-up shots of the game’s most evocative moments, they embark on a journey of creative reinterpretation through detailed paintovers.

By merging in-game imagery with their own creative insights, our artists create a visual narrative that not only honors the original design but also expands it into something unexpectedly beautiful and deeply resonant.

This concept art, below, shows the perspective of our artist from an area from the road to Gauntlight Keep where a broken bridge is to be seen.
From the Road to Gauntlight Keep to its Ruins
To end this update, we’re more than happy to show you the new concept arts of the Gauntlight Ruins surroundings and what inspired our artists.
What kind of creatures lurk in these areas?
Skulking in the shadows of ruined halls and forgotten tunnels, Mitflits are a wretched and pitiful breed of gremlins, forever cursed with feelings of inadequacy and despair. Small, blue-skinned, and perpetually hunched, they compensate for their weakness with sheer numbers and an almost comical sense of self-importance.

Though they crave recognition and leadership, their cowardly nature often leads them to grovel before stronger creatures—be it a cruel master or a self-proclaimed "mighty" mitflit chief.

Despite their failings, mitflits are dangerous in swarms, wielding crude weapons and enlisting oversized vermin like spiders and centipedes to do their bidding.

In the depths of Abomination Vaults, they scuttle through the dark, whispering their schemes, eager to prove themselves… even if they fail spectacularly in the process.

The Road to Gauntlight Keep

Greetings Heroes,

Our team has been working hard, and we’re ready to reveal a lot of new developments about the Abomination Vaults. Read on for an in-depth look at the fresh characters, mysterious paths, and artistic magic that are transforming our world!
Captain Lardus Longsaddle: The Unyielding Vanguard
"Steel, honor, and a touch of pragmatism—Captain Lardus Longsaddle stands as Otari's stalwart protector."

Our latest concept art reveal brings you face-to-face with Captain Lardus Longsaddle, the grizzled and unwavering captain of Otari’s guard. Whether you see him as a dedicated shield for the people or a hardened enforcer of law and order, Lardus is a name known by every citizen and adventurer alike.
Who is Captain Lardus?
Lardus Longsaddle is a seasoned warrior who was a veteran of Absalom's city guards who "retired" to Otari a decade ago. He’s not just the captain of the guard—he is the law. He may be a grump, while not as rigid as some would expect, Lardus has a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to dealing with threats, whether they emerge from the town’s underbelly or creep from the dark maw of Gauntlight Keep.

While he trusts in steel and strategy, Lardus is no fool—he knows Otari’s safety can’t always rest in the hands of his guards alone. He keeps a watchful eye on the adventurers stirring trouble (or solving it), though his patience for reckless heroics has its limits.

Good day, dear Pathfinder fans!

Let's kick off 2025 with a glimpse into new levels from the Abomination Vaults!
The Servants’ Quarters in Gauntlight Keep
The Servants’ Quarters in Gauntlight Keep offer a haunting insight into the lives of those who once toiled under Belcorra Haruvex’s rule. These decrepit halls are rich with environmental storytelling, where adventurers will uncover remnants of past lives, eerie echoes of former inhabitants, and lurking dangers that now call this space home. As the battleground of warring factions—the subterranean Morlocks, the scavenging Mitflits, and the ever-hungry Ghouls—this area pulses with intrigue and conflict, offering players a chance to shape its fate. Will you side with a faction, manipulate their rivalries, or carve your own path through this treacherous domain?
The Laboratory Floor in Gauntlight Keep
Deep within the Abomination Vaults lies the Laboratory Floor—a domain of dark experimentation and arcane horrors. Here, the Seugathis continue their grotesque fleshwarping research, resisting the encroaching devils that threaten their stronghold. The remnants of ancient gladiatorial games linger in abandoned beast pens and bloodstained armories, hinting at the brutal past of Gauntlight Keep. Players will face seugathi fleshwarpers, twisted aberrations, and infernal invaders while uncovering forbidden knowledge and treasures of immense power. Will you dismantle the Seugathis’ twisted experiments, negotiate with their leaders, or become entangled in the infernal conflict threatening to consume this floor?

She specializes in aiding adventurers destined to face unimaginable horrors, offering cryptic advice and one-of-a-kind items that may turn the tide of fate.
