Morels: The Hunt 2 News

Thank you to everyone who has played and supported the game. We hope everyone has enjoyed playing it. It has been a great launch. We have such a great community. If you have enjoyed playing the game, maybe consider leaving a review. They are really helpful.

[h2]Fatal Error Fix[/h2]

We have done a bunch of optimizations to the game that should hopefully fix the Fatal Error Crash that sometimes happens. If you are still experiencing this crash there are a few things you can try.

• Make sure graphic drivers are up to date.
  
• Try turning off Discord before launching the game.
  
• Verify your game files. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
• Try turning off the Squirrel Pong Loading Screen in Settings.
  
• If you experience the crash when loading Birch Forest for the first time try loading the game again and see if it goes through without the crash the second time.
  
• Start a new game in Exploration mode and go to another map like meadow lands first. Then go to Birch Forest and see if the game crashes. If it does not, try to load and play or main game again.
  

We are still working to figure out the cause of the crash. It does not appear to happen to that many people or that often but we really want to get it fixed completely. Until we know for sure it is fixed completely, the above options may fix it for you if you are experiencing it.

[h2]Other Fixes.[/h2]

There were some other minor fixes as well that we have fixed in this build. Like some errors in text in for the Mystery Animals. We plan on putting out another update soon with some more fixes that have been listed in the bugs and suggestions forum. For this update we really wanted to focus on the Fatal Error Crash issue.

We just put out a small update to the game. We also wanted to share a great article that was written about the game on PC Gamer.

[h3]Crosshairs Only UI[/h3]
We have added in an option to have only the Crosshairs on the screen if you like. This only works with the keyboard as of now. We hope to get a toggle option soon but below would be the steps have only crosshairs on your screen.

1. Press "h" to hide your UI.
2. Press "v" to add just the crosshairs.

[h2]Morels: The Hunt 1 Update[/h2]
The update for Morels 1 is also live.
-Footprints where you have been on the map.
-Daily morel counts and daily record.
-Option to turn off spiders and make them bunny balls.
-Sunglasses as a new item. This will lighten dark shaded areas darken the brightness of the sun.
-Music by default will play a playlist starting with that maps song instead of looping the same song.
-Added upper right Main UI to the Horse and ATV UI.
-Fixed Redwood Forest morels location bug.
