Morels: The Hunt 2 - April 29th Patch Notes

[h2]Bug Fixes and Updates[/h2]

Missing mushrooms from your tent in the Mountain Forest map. - This should now be fixed and you should be able to see the morel mushrooms you've picked that day in your tent.
Controller bug when purchasing certain items like Bug Spray. - You should now be able to open your inventory again after purchasing items with the controller like Bug Spray.
Your Shoes in your inventory should no longer have an option to "Put On" if you are already wearing them.
We made the collision boxes a little larger around items in the shop so you don't have to get as close to the tables to open up the shop menu for that item.

Morels 2 - April 26th Update

Thank you again to everyone who has played and supported Morels 2. It means so much to us. We've been listening to your feedback and have a new build live with some updates and fixes.

[h2]Updates[/h2]

[h3]Night Vision[/h3]
We have added Night Vision back in as a camera mode option. It will be a free upgrade with the purchase of the upgraded headlamp. We have added a sign to the headlamp upgrade stand that lets you know about the Night Vision free camera mode update.

[h3]Insect Collision[/h3]
We have updated the insect collision so it does not collide and alter vehicles.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

Disappearing hummingbird feeders - This should now be fixed.
Golf Cart Too Tired Corrupt Save Game - There was a bug that would sometimes corrupt your save game if you were on your golf cart when the "Too Tired" message came up at the end of the day. This should be fixed now.
Random Werewolf Mystery Animal - A bug was causing a werewolf to spawn in the Mountain Forest map instead of a normal wolf. This should be fixed now and you should not be able to see the Werewolf in this game anymore.
Animals and mushrooms underwater in the Mountain Forest Map. - This should hopefully be fixed now and you should not see many if any animals or mushrooms pinned underwater in this map.
Hare, this animal is dead bug - There was a bug that caused the hare to not play the dead animation when it would be attacked by a coyote or other predators. A message would say that the animal was dead but it clearly looked alive. This was due to it not playing the correct animations. This should be fixed now.
Other minor fixes like some floating foliage or meshes.

Thank you to everyone who has played and supported the game. We hope everyone has enjoyed playing it. It has been a great launch. We have such a great community. If you have enjoyed playing the game, maybe consider leaving a review. They are really helpful.

[h2]Fatal Error Fix[/h2]

We have done a bunch of optimizations to the game that should hopefully fix the Fatal Error Crash that sometimes happens. If you are still experiencing this crash there are a few things you can try.

Make sure graphic drivers are up to date.
Try turning off Discord before launching the game.
Verify your game files. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
Try turning off the Squirrel Pong Loading Screen in Settings.
If you experience the crash when loading Birch Forest for the first time try loading the game again and see if it goes through without the crash the second time.
Start a new game in Exploration mode and go to another map like meadow lands first. Then go to Birch Forest and see if the game crashes. If it does not, try to load and play or main game again.

We are still working to figure out the cause of the crash. It does not appear to happen to that many people or that often but we really want to get it fixed completely. Until we know for sure it is fixed completely, the above options may fix it for you if you are experiencing it.

[h2]Other Fixes.[/h2]

There were some other minor fixes as well that we have fixed in this build. Like some errors in text in for the Mystery Animals. We plan on putting out another update soon with some more fixes that have been listed in the bugs and suggestions forum. For this update we really wanted to focus on the Fatal Error Crash issue.

Small Game Patch and Update. PC Gamer Article on the Game!

We just put out a small update to the game. We also wanted to share a great article that was written about the game on PC Gamer.

[h3]Crosshairs Only UI[/h3]
We have added in an option to have only the Crosshairs on the screen if you like. This only works with the keyboard as of now. We hope to get a toggle option soon but below would be the steps have only crosshairs on your screen.

1. Press "h" to hide your UI.
2. Press "v" to add just the crosshairs.
