[p]Hayo Park Managers! [/p][p][/p][p]Hot off the back of Update 8’s announcement yesterday and with even more content to come this year, we’d love to take time to celebrate our incredible journey together as the Steam Awards are officially open for nominations, and we’d love for you to consider Planet Coaster 2 for the ‘Labor of Love’ category! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]These awards help to highlight the amazing work which goes into making the games that you love, and thanks to your incredible creativity and support we have been able to introduce an incredible assortment of features, rides and more.  [/p][p][/p][p]Across seven free base game updates we’ve delivered meaningful changes and enhancements to bring your parks to life, putting your imagination at the core of our game. Fan favourite themes, coasters and flat rides returning from Planet Coaster have all been enhanced and reimagined with all of the creative freedom of Planet Coaster 2. [/p][p][/p][p]You can also choose to expand your parks with two incredible additional content packs – the high-octane Thrill-Seekers Ride Pack and the spellbinding Sorcery Pack.  [/p][p][/p][p]We’ve still got so much more to come, and our Update 8 Announcement this week highlights even more features to look forward to over the holidays, including new weather types, the returning Festive theme and a suite of management and economy changes. [p][/p][h3]Hayo Park Managers,[/h3][h3]The air in Planet Coaster 2 is getting a little chilly and we’re feeling festive with Update 8![/h3][h3]Take a look at the host of new features, expanded management tools and improvements coming on December 4th.[/h3][h3][/h3][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][h2]Features[/h2][h3]New and Improved Weather[/h3][p][/p][p]·       Weather in Planet Coaster 2 is getting a series of improvements, as well as two new seasonal weather conditions.[/p][p]·       Snow will now fall, bringing with it cold temperatures and the potential for frozen pools![/p][p]·       Thunderstorms will not only bring rain but also lightning which can cause issues throughout your park if it strikes.[/p][p]·       This new seasonal weather also brings a host of new and expanded guest needs to manage, including warmth, dryness and sun cream.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Festive Theme[/h3][p][/p][p]·       The Festive theme returns from Planet Coaster bringing a variety of scenery pieces, including:[/p][p]o   Festive Scenery Building Pieces[/p][p]o   Festive Animatronics[/p][p]o   Festive Signage[/p][p]o   And much more![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Returning Scenery and Flat Ride Blueprints[/h3][p][/p][p]·       A selection of Scenery Blueprints from each theme in the original Planet Coaster base game are coming to Planet Coaster 2, including:[/p][p]o   Fairytale[/p][p]o   Festive[/p][p]o   Pirate[/p][p]o   Sci-Fi[/p][p]o   Western[/p][p]·       10 new themed blueprints for existing Planet Coaster 2 rides are also being added.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]General Improvements[/h3][p][/p][p]·       Management and economy updates bring changes to utilities, scenery ratings, ticket pricing and much more.[/p][p]·       Alongside the new weather and guest needs, your park heatmaps have been updated to help you manage these challenges.[/p][p]·       Some of your favourite existing coasters have had upgrades.[/p][p]·       Plus, a variety of bug fixes and other improvements![/p][p][/p][h3]Check out the full update notes to get all the details. [p]Today we’re celebrating the first anniversary of Planet Coaster 2 – what a year it’s been! Since launch, we’ve been taking on board your feedback, releasing seven significant free base game updates, which introduced meaningful changes, quality of life improvements, and new content, including four returning themes, two coasters, three flat rides, and hundreds of scenery pieces!  Alongside plenty of free updates, we also introduced additional PDLC packs to take your parks to the next level, including the recently released Sorcery Pack, containing a brand-new theme and five exciting new rides that bring a little magic to your park. [/p][p]We absolutely love seeing your creations on the Frontier Workshop as well as on socials, and we can’t wait to see what you continue to create in the future as you push the boundaries of creativity! [/p][p]To celebrate the anniversary of Planet Coaster 2, today we are bringing back a real fan-favourite from the original Planet Coaster, the Interactive Shooting Ride. [/p][p]This tracked ride will challenge your guests’ aim, as they fire at targets in pursuit of a high score. You can also put your own skills to the test by taking the controls for yourself! This will also come with a Western-themed blueprint, Bounty Hunter, which pits your gunslingers against some dastardly outlaws. Can your park guests achieve the Sheriff’s gold star? [/p][p]The future is bright for Planet Coaster 2 with even more exciting content on the way later this year and beyond.
