Hayo Park Managers!

We have been blown away already with the incredible Coasters, Water Rides and creations you have made, and with all your feedback and support! Our first update for Planet Coaster 2 will be coming tomorrow - Friday 8th November 2024!

Here are the changes.

Hotfix 1

Workshop Changes
Our long-term goal is to remove the download limit for PC players. In the meantime, as we work towards this, we are increasing the workshop download limit from 1gb to 4gb. This increases the amount of content you can download to ~12,000 blueprints or ~240 parks!

Graphics

• Fixed turning on DLSS after launching for the first time, which did not properly apply unless you subsequently set a DLSS Quality level
  
• AMD 6700XT graphics cards will now default to High rather than Ultra for their default Graphics Preset
  
• Fixed an issue related to coaster cars/rides vanishing when near the camera
  
• Fixed an issue with scenery disappearing that has been attached to rides.
  
• Fixed an issue where the brightness of interiors increased disproportionately when rotating the camera

Experiencing blurry images

• Turned off Depth of Field and Motion Blur by default for new players

For players who have already started their game and wish to turn this off, this can be found within the Settings → Display Settings

General

•  Various stability fixes, including a sporadic crash when editing tracked rides

We would like to share with you some changes and additions that we are working to bring to Planet Coaster 2 in future free Updates.

Guests

• Increasing the guest cap for PC players in Sandbox Mode

Flumes

• Allowing multiple guests on flumes at the same time

Coasters

• Stations with separate load and unload stations

Weather

• Ability to change the weather in Sandbox Mode

Miscellaneous

• Video Billboards that can be triggered with event sequencer, including the ability to display custom videos for PC players
  
• Custom sounds and music for PC players

As we head towards launch, we've seen a few more frequently asked questions that we would like to respond to!

Does the guest cap also apply to PC, what affects it and why is it there? If it is on PC as well will it be removed from PC in a future update?

We have set a guest cap of 6000 guests to create the best experience in terms of performance for our players at launch. We will be continuing to analyse and evaluate player hardware feedback regarding this topic post-launch.

What's the Frontier Workshop?

In Planet Coaster 2 we want you to be able to have the freedom to share your creations with as many people as possible! That's why we're bringing you the Planet Coaster 2 Frontier Workshop! This one-stop workshop lets you upload your parks, rides, buildings and scenes and share them with anyone, no matter what platform they are on! Want your friend on Xbox to download your death-defying coaster of doom? They can!

In the Frontier Workshop you can:

• Upload your creations for any one on any platform to download!
  
• Download a range of creations from loads of creators and add them to your parks!
  
• Keep track of your current Workshop subscriptions so you know who's awesome creations you have access to!
  
• Keep track of your franchise and sandbox collaborations so you can work with friends to build your awesome parks together
  
• Favourite creations so you can always find them easily!

Just log in with your Frontier account and a universe of possibilities awaits you in Planet Coaster 2!

Are custom music/sounds/billboards in the game? Will they be added?

Planet Coaster 2 is all about creativity, and we are always considering new ways to bring your theme parks to life. We will be introducing these features in a future update.

Will load/unload stations be added?

Coasters and rides are at the heart of Planet Coaster 2. We will be introducing load/unload stations in a future update.

Will rides with built-in decor have 'vanilla' versions too?

Yes. Creativity is at the core of Planet Coaster 2, and the ability to attach scenery to rides is something which we’re very proud of, allowing Park Managers to create unique rides. We are always considering new ways to expand this creativity, and will continue to introduce further creative options, including additional neutral coaster cars in future updates.

Will Planet Coaster 2 be playable on Steam Deck?
