My Ex-Future Family Season 2 News

[p]Hey everyone!
It’s been a while since I posted anything on Steam. Not gonna lie — feels kinda weird (and a bit scary) to be writing here again 😅[/p][p]A little over a year and a half ago, I finished work on the first season of My Future-Ex Family.
I honestly didn’t expect it to blow up the way it did — the sales, the hype, the love — all way beyond anything I imagined.
Right after release, I jumped straight into working on what I thought was going to be Season Two…
Turned out, it was just a DLC. Classic.[/p][p]After that DLC dropped, me and the team rolled up our sleeves and got to work on the real Season Two.
And you know what? It turned out so much better.
Yeah, we might’ve gone a bit overboard with episode length — and yeah, there’s less branching for now —
but we’ve got plans to fix that with future content.
In return, you’re getting longer episodes, more art, and animations that feel way more alive.[/p][p]Oh, and did I mention we’ve got sound now?
Not just little clicks or doors creaking — we’ve added sound effects to animations and full scenes.
No voice actors yet, but the game now has over 3,000 custom sounds that actually bring the world to life.[/p][p]Also: new fan-favorite characters have joined the story — hot, bold, unforgettable.
And some of the less-loved girls have been gracefully shown the exit.

Hello, everyone!

It’s been a while since we last shared some news, though work hasn’t stopped for a moment. The holidays, reworking old content, adding new material, implementing sound effects, and visual polish—all of it takes time.

Today, I want to tell you about our work on the sixth episode of the game. A large amount of code and dialogue has become the norm for us, and honestly, that’s something we’re proud of. Sure, sometimes it’s challenging to visualize all of our ideas, but isn’t it better to aim for more rather than less?

Some of the animations turned out so great that it fills us with pride in what we’re creating. As I mentioned last time, we have set deadlines for each episode, and I’m 90% confident that we’ll finish the second season by August of this year. In fact, we have five episodes left to complete, polish the visual elements, add more sound effects and animations, and then wait for your reaction to the final product. That’s the big picture.

Now, let’s focus on what awaits you in the sixth episode.

First, a bit of stats:

Hey, everybody!


We've had a lot of work to do this month. My inner writer wrote a huge episode. Really huge. I've never had an episode this big before. So our artist and animator are working 14 hours a day to get it done on time.

Yes, we have deadlines for every episode to make sure we can finish the game by August 2025. The game is going to be big and cool. There will be things to look at and things to keep yourself busy. But that's global. For now, I'd like to focus on what awaits the player in episode five.

First, a little bit of statistics:
