Following the Dawn of the Hunt Content Reveal last week, we've seen a lot of questions about this update to Path of Exile 2. Check out the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions below.

[h3]When does Dawn of the Hunt launch on all platforms?[/h3]
Dawn of the Hunt will launch at 12pm April 4th PDT on all supported platforms, including the standalone PC client, Steam and Epic Games Store clients as well as Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

[h3]Will there be an economy reset?[/h3]
There will be new leagues made for those who wish to start in a fresh economy. It is highly recommended that you play in the new economy due to the extensive number of balance changes.

[h3]How do I start in a league with a fresh economy?[/h3]
When creating a character, select the Dawn of the Hunt banner.



[h3]Will my existing characters and items be wiped when Dawn of the Hunt is released? [/h3]
No! As we have announced last year, there will not be any wipes and you will not lose access to your existing characters and progress. That being said your Passive Tree will most likely be reset, and extensive balance changes may have significantly changed how your character plays.

[h3]Do I need to create a new character and start the game from the beginning?[/h3]
While we do recommend starting over and getting the full new experience in the Dawn of the Hunt leagues, all the content from this update will be made available in the existing Early Access leagues so you can play your existing characters.

[h3]Is there a special in-game mechanic that is available only in Dawn of the Hunt leagues and not in the core game?[/h3]
No, everything we’re adding in Dawn of the Hunt will be available in the core game as well. Future leagues will usually add exclusive content.

[h3]What happens with my stash tabs if I start in a new league with a fresh economy?[/h3]
Any stash tabs you have purchased will be available to use in new leagues. Since a new league is a fresh economy, your stash in the new league will not contain any items from your stash in other leagues.

[h3]Is this a paid expansion?[/h3]
No. If you’re an existing Path of Exile 2 player, all you have to do is to download the content update.

However, if you don’t already have access to Path of Exile 2 and are interested in playing Dawn of the Hunt, you would need to purchase any of the Early Access Supporter Packs to get access to the game.

[h3]Will there be a predownload?[/h3]
Yes, we will make the torrent file for the standalone PC client available for predownloading the day before the launch.

[h3]What information will be revealed before the launch?[/h3]
This week we will publish the full Patch Notes as well as information about Item Filters, what to expect at launch day and new Twitch Drops. Stay tuned!

[h3]Will you reveal all new Support Gems?[/h3]
We’re leaving those for you to explore in the game!

[h3]Are the microtransactions I purchased in Path of Exile 1 available in Path of Exile 2?[/h3]
If you made purchases on your Path of Exile account in Path of Exile 1 and are logging into Path of Exile 2 with the same account, any purchases that are ready on Path of Exile 2 will be available there also. We've added a lot of existing microtransactions to Path of Exile 2 in Dawn of the Hunt and will continue to add more over time.

Please note that any purchases made on PlayStation platforms cannot be used on other platforms, and purchases made on other platforms cannot be used on PlayStation platforms. Note that these purchases can still be on the same sub-account, but the microtransactions will be marked as unavailable when viewing them in your stash.

[h3]No new Supporter Packs?[/h3]
While Dawn of the Hunt does not come with new Supporter Packs, on release weekend we expect to launch the new mystery box and cool microtransactions, some of which are themed around the Huntress! In the meantime, the Paladin and Penance Supporter Packs from Path of Exile 1 are now available to purchase in Path of Exile 2, check them out by pressing M to open the store in-game!

On March 27th at 12pm PDT, we’ll reveal the full details of our upcoming Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt content update via an exclusive livestream on Twitch. This post contains everything you need to know before the livestream starts.

What time does it start?

The livestream will start at 12pm PDT on March 27th.

What can I expect?

After a quick introduction we’ll kick things off with the reveal trailer for Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, followed by a deep dive into all of the new content and features being introduced in this content update.

Following the reveal, ZiggyD will join Jonathan Rogers and Mark Roberts live for a Q&A with questions from Twitch chat. The entire livestream, including the Q&A, will most likely be just over one and a half hours long.

Where can I watch?

Tune in at www.twitch.tv/pathofexile to watch the livestream. We also welcome co-streaming of the announcement so you’ll be able to watch the stream alongside your favourite streamers on their channels. Be sure to encourage them to get involved!

Will Twitch Drops be enabled?

Yes, Twitch drops for the Executioner's Guillotine Unique Finisher Effect will be enabled from the start of the livestream until 10pm PDT for all channels streaming Path of Exile 2 during that time.

You'll get your Executioner's Guillotine Unique Finisher Effect after 2 hours of accumulated watch time during this period. This means that the drop is guaranteed for everyone who has watched any Path of Exile 2 stream for this amount of time. This promotion is available for all accounts.

Where can I view the reveals if I miss the livestream?

Our regular announcement page will unlock once information has been revealed on the livestream. Keep an eye on the news forum or X for additional information following the livestream. The announcement will also be available on our YouTube channel following the livestream.

[h2]How to Participate[/h2]
Simply link your Path of Exile account to Twitch (see below) and tune into GGG Live at www.twitch.tv/pathofexile, or any channel in the Path of Exile 2 Directory for 2 hours. Drops will be enabled from 12PM PDT until 10PM PDT.

You will get the Executioner's Guillotine Unique Finisher Effect after 2 hours of accumulated watch time on any channel with drops enabled streaming Path of Exile 2 during the event. This means that the drop is guaranteed for everyone who has watched any Path of Exile 2 stream for this amount of time. This promotion is available for all accounts.

If you’re planning to stream Path of Exile 2 during our livestream and want to enable Twitch Drops for your viewers, you can do it via your Twitch Creator Dashboard here.

[h2]Linking your Path of Exile Account to Twitch[/h2]
Visit your Twitch Settings page while logged in. If your account isn't connected, click the "Connect" button for Twitch under "Other Connections". Complete the process on Twitch and you will be redirected back to your Twitch Settings page. If your account is already connected, this page should say "Your Path of Exile account is currently linked to your Twitch account."

After you've accumulated enough watch time to earn your Executioner's Guillotine Unique Finisher Effect, you must redeem them from your Twitch Inventory before the promotional period ends. Then they will be immediately available in your microtransactions list in Path of Exile 2, and will also be available for use in Path of Exile 1 later. The Executioner's Guillotine Unique Finisher Effect will be available for purchase from the store at a later date.
