Finally: More Details On Price And Platforms!

Many of you have asked again and again: how much will SubwaySim 2 cost? And what about a discount for owners of SubwaySim Hamburg? Today we can finally answer those questions officially. But before we get to that, we’ve got another exciting announcement for you.
One game – four platforms!
As you know, SubwaySim 2 will be released on 29 April. Just like its predecessor, SubwaySim Hamburg, the PC version will be available right here on Steam – and this time also in the Epic Games Store.
And something many of you have been hoping for: the game will also be released for consoles on 29 April – specifically on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A boxed version will even be available for PS5!

Excited for launch day? We definitely are!
So, how much is the game?
Let’s get straight to it: What’s the price tag? We've prepared a little graphic for you:

On PC, SubwaySim 2 will be available for €34.99, and on consoles for €39.99.
(Note: Prices in other currencies may vary slightly depending on regional pricing.)
What about my discount?
As previously announced, we want to thank everyone who bought SubwaySim Hamburg with a special discount. That’s why all owners of SubwaySim Hamburg on Steam will get access to a heavily discounted upgrade package:

As shown above, the upgrade package is available for just €19.99. That gives you the full version of SubwaySim 2, including both Hamburg and Berlin, at a massive 43% discount!

Note: Due to technical limitations, the upgrade package is only available on Steam. Steam will list it as a separate discounted edition of SubwaySim 2. Please double-check that the correct price is displayed when purchasing.

And by the way – this isn’t the only news this weekend... stay tuned!

Our All-New User Interface!

Week by week, we’re getting closer to the release of SubwaySim 2. And yet there are still so many things we can’t wait to show you! This time, we’re focusing on something that’s been completely redesigned from the ground up: our brand-new user interface.
Before You Begin
Before you enter the main menu for the first time, there’s one small step to take. In SubwaySim 2, you can choose from a variety of characters. This is where you select your character and give your profile a name. As we decided for a personal touch throughout the entire user interface, you'll meet your profile quite a few times in the game.
The Main Menu
Next up is the fully redesigned main menu, where you’ll find everything you need to jump straight into the game. There’s now a dedicated Quick Play button to start a random journey right away. You’ll also have direct access to tutorials, or you can dive deeper into the game via Choose City.

After choosing your city, you can begin scheduled services, explore tutorials for each train type, or try your hand at various scenarios. You can also easily resume any saved progress here.
On the Tracks
Once you're on your journey, you’ll get to know our new HUD, which has also been completely reworked to match the clean look of the main menu. It now provides all essential driving info clearly and concisely—without obstructing the view of the city.

On the left, you'll see your current tasks, along with helpful key prompts for your next actions.

At the top centre, there’s the new route preview, which shows much more than just the next signal. You’ll get a clear look at the next 500 metres of track, making it easier to react to red signals ahead of time. A new XP indicator appears in the top right, showing your current XP level and a list of your most recent XP-gaining (or losing) actions.

As always, the speedometer sits in the lower right corner, where you can check your current speed, the permitted limit, and your target speed. You’ll also find indicators for door status, brake pressure, and throttle settings.

By the way, if you take a close look at today’s screenshots, you might spot something new: the Career Mode. We haven’t said much about it yet... but that's a topic for next week's post. Stay tuned!

Even More Scenarios!

Last week was an exciting one—we finally revealed the SubwaySim 2 release date and dropped a thrilling new trailer! But of course, that wasn’t all. There are still a few more updates coming your way before launch.

That’s why we’re taking another look at scenarios. We already promised that Hamburg fans won’t be left out—and today we’re delivering. But first, let’s check back in on Berlin.
Chaos Weather
What a storm! Berlin is in full-on chaos today. Due to severe weather, the bridges over the Landwehr Canal and the Spree are closed. As a result, the U3 can only operate between Schlesisches Tor and Möckernbrücke. Get ready for some short turnarounds!

You’ll start with an empty HK train at Warschauer Straße, head to Schlesisches Tor to pick up your first passengers, and then continue to Möckernbrücke. Once everyone’s offboarded, it’s back to Schlesisches Tor again.

But the weather just won’t let up! Dispatch decides to shut down service on the U3 entirely. That means your final task is to return the train to the Warschauer Straße depot and end your shift.
Depot Clean-Up
This scenario takes us back to Hamburg, where you begin your shift as a floating driver. Right after you clock in, the depot contacts you: several trains need servicing but are still parked at Saarlandstraße yard. Time to head over from the Barmbek depot.

First, you’ll need to decouple a DT5 double unit, then take one of them out to Barmbek. After reversing direction, it’s off to Saarlandstraße where you’ll couple onto a waiting DT5. But be careful—you’re only supposed to take the front train! That means hopping out and decoupling the rear unit.

Of course, there’s another train waiting on the neighbouring track. Once you’ve collected everything and hopped back in up front, head back to Barmbek and park the trains on the assigned track. But your shift isn’t quite over yet—a final shunting task awaits, giving you a chance to explore the new Hellbrookstraße (Bba) depot to the fullest.

The First Brand-New SCENARIOS!

Many of you already know scenarios from SubwaySim 1—but SubwaySim 2 will bring a fresh batch of exciting challenges in Berlin! Today, we’re introducing two highlights you can look forward to. And yes, we’ve added a few new ones in Hamburg too—but more on that later.
Train Preparation
Last week, we took a deep dive into the topic of coupling and uncoupling—and of course, there’s a fitting scenario to go with it.

In the Train Preparation scenario, you’ll experience several brand-new features in SubwaySim 2. Your task: make sure an extra train is ready in time on the siding near Gleisdreieck station for an upcoming evening event. But the four A3L92 units that make up the full train are still spread across the Warschauer Straße depot.

You’ll start in the large maintenance hall near the station and power up the first A3L92 unit. We’ve paid close attention to detail—for instance, the depot’s roller doors are fully functional. Just like in real life, the door opens first, and only then does the signal show "Hp4" to allow movement onto an occupied track.

Step by step, you’ll form a full-length train out of the individual units. It takes a careful hand—smooth coupling is a skill in itself! Once your train is ready, it’s time to depart. Running as an empty train behind a scheduled service, you’ll need to navigate a series of red signals—demanding your full attention and driving precision.
After the Storm
This one’s a real challenge. You begin by waking up a train in the Nollendorfplatz siding tracks, then taking charge of the first passenger service of the day. But after a night of stormy weather, an unexpected situation pops up: a tree has fallen across the tracks.

Just like in one of the Hamburg scenarios, this one calls for sharp eyes and quick reflexes. But once the emergency brake is engaged, a new question arises: how do we get the passengers out safely? Luckily, dispatch comes up with a clever plan...
