California Rework - Almonds & Farming

In the heart of California's agricultural hub, the third phase of the California Rework project for American Truck Simulator is set to transform the virtual landscape around Modesto, Stockton, Fresno, and Huron. As we delve into the agricultural heartbeat of the region, brace yourselves for the delightful addition of almond and grape farms that promise a taste of California's rich farming tradition.

At the heart of this farming venture is the newly introduced almond farm depot, showcasing the prevalence of almonds in this fertile region. As you navigate through the vibrant fields, the virtual scent of almond blossoms will fill the air, creating an immersive experience that mirrors the real-life essence of California farming.

Winding through this picturesque terrain, players will encounter an extensive network of country roads, each leading to expansive farms adorned with almond orchards, grapevines, and a variety of other crops. The landscape will be a tapestry of colors, showcasing the diversity of California's thriving agriculture.

Adding to the authenticity, the update introduces the Grape Processing Factory. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to capturing the essence of California's farming economy.

Once we roll out these exciting features, we invite players to embark on a journey through the heartland of agriculture, where the beauty of nature meets the thrill of the open road. Get ready to immerse yourself in the charm of almond groves, grapevines, and the dynamic world of farming that defines the California Rework Phase 3. Stay tuned for more updates, as we continue to cultivate a virtual California that mirrors the real thing on our X/TwitterInstagramFacebookTikTok.

Introducing Missouri

Without further ado, it's time we reveal our next U.S. State for American Truck Simulator! From Iconic Landmark Gateways to the Ozark Highlands and the beauties of the Mark Twain National Forest, today we are excited to announce that our team are hard at working creating...
Missouri for American Truck Simulator
Nestled in the heart of the American Midwest, Missouri beckons with a blend of historical significance, natural beauty, and vibrant urban landscapes. Known as the "Show-Me State," Missouri invites visitors to explore its diverse offerings.

The iconic Gateway Arch in St. Louis stands tall, symbolizing westward expansion, while the Ozark Mountains provide a scenic backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts. From the bustling city life of Kansas City to the serene landscapes, Missouri captivates with its unique charm and promises a journey marked by historic sites, such as Mark Twain's birthplace and a taste of authentic American culture.

Drivers in Missouri will also be the first to see the iconic Mississippi River in American Truck Simulator! As the second-longest river in the United States spanning over 2,000 miles, this impressive waterway flows through 10 different States.

There is no shortage of industries large or small in this state either! Agriculture, Underground Warehouses, Food Industries and more await drivers in Missouri. We look forward to sharing a showcase of them in future blog posts. For now, please keep in mind that everything you see here is still very much a work in progress and may not represent the final product.

California Rework - Fresno & Huron

We're happy to share with you another look into our on-going California Rework project for American Truck Simulator. For some of our newer player base, a small part of our team has been hard at work to rework the base game state of California and bring it up to standard with our current map expansions as part of a free update.

Today, we're happy to share with you some preview screenshots from the cities of Fresno & Huron!
Fresno
Nestled in the heart of California's Central Valley, Fresno is home to a unique blend of urban vibrancy and agricultural charm. Known as the "Raisin Capital of the World," this city boasts its title of 'the most productive farmland'. You may have even delivered to this city a few times before in American Truck Simulator. Let's take a look at some of the changes that have been made in the rework.

Much like many of the other cities in the California Rework, Fresno was completely reworked from the ground up. This means the city and road network from our current base map editor has been deleted and the team has rebuilt it from scratch. This allows the team to take advantage of techniques and tools we previously did not have, and really utilise the space to bring a more realistic layout and representation of the locale.

Major road networks, such as the CA-99 which runs through the city along with many other connections in and around Frenso have been reworked. The team has also reworked industries in the area, and you may even find some new depots to deliver to.
Huron
Surrounded by vast expanses of farmland, Huron provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Known for its colorful murals that tell the story of the community and its rich cultural heritage, Huron provides a glimpse into the heart of the Golden State's rural charm.

Just like the work undertaken in Fresno, Huron has been built from the ground up, including its road networks and local industries. Nearby, you'll find a new Truckstop under the 'Vortex' brand located close to the I-5.

Like many other small towns and cities, Huron is home to a variety of Agriculture industries. In the surrounding area, farms grow soybeans, corn, and own livestock. It is also an emerging hub for the production of niche crops for specialty markets, as-well as a rapidly growing cluster of wineries.

Rest assured, the team is working hard on this project & we look forward to sharing more previews from this upcoming phase of the California Rework. If you missed out on any of the previous blogposts on this topic, be sure to take a read back here. Until next time, keep on truckin'!
