On the 14th of November, we welcomed fans from all over the world, including guests who travelled from as far as South Korea, for our third SCS Fan Day, and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be.[/p][p][/p][p]From the moment the doors opened, the studio filled with the energy and excitement that only our community can bring. Throughout the afternoon, attendees enjoyed a full studio tour, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into how your favourite projects come to life. Our teams across departments opened their workspaces and shared stories, workflows, and a few fun secrets along the way.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Of course, no visit to SCS Software would be complete without a spin in our 4D Motion Simulator. Guests got to feel every bump of the road, an experience that brought plenty of laughs, big smiles, and maybe even a few surprised reactions![/p][p][/p][p]Visitors also had the chance to chat directly with members of our team, from artists and programmers to designers and testers, and even take a closer look at some of the work they’re currently creating. And, as always, our CEO, Pavel Šebor and other representatives of our departments had a Q&A to meet everyone personally, answer questions, and share their enthusiasm for the future.[/p][p][/p][p]Before heading home, every participant received a bundle of exclusive Fan Day goodies, a small thank-you from us to you, the #BestCommunityEver.[/p][p][/p][p]To everyone who joined us and spent their day with us: thank you. [p]Are you excited to be cruising the highways of American Truck Simulator behind the wheel of a true American classic? Today, we would like you to take a closer look at one of the vehicles waiting for you in the FORD Car Pack for Road Trip - the legendary Ford Crown Victoria![/p][p][/p][p]The Ford Crown Victoria is a full-size sedan that became something of a legend. Introduced in 1992 and built until 2012, it rides on Ford's rear-wheel-drive Panther platform - a classic body-on-frame setup that gave it durability, one of the things for which it's known. Powered by a sturdy V8 and famous for its toughness, the Crown Victoria earned a reputation as one of the most reliable workhorses of its era.[/p][p][/p][p]Its defining legacy came from its popularity in fleet service. By the late 1990s, police departments and taxi companies had practically adopted it, with thousands of these cars patrolling the streets or hauling passengers. In total, Ford built around 1.5 million Crown Victorias between 1992 and 2011.[/p][p][/p][p]In the game, you'll be driving the 2006+ base Crown Victoria, a civilian-oriented version of the Police Interceptor. This model features a 4.6L SOHC V8 engine delivering 224 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, paired with an electronic 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It retains the same rear-wheel-drive layout, speed-sensitive power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS as its law-enforcement counterpart, but with a slightly gentler, everyday driving character.[/p][p][/p][p]The suspension setup - front short-/long-arm with stabilizer bar, rear Watt's linkage with monotube shock absorbers - balances comfort and control, while practical features like a 19-gallon fuel tank, fail-safe engine cooling system, battery saver with 30-minute shut-off delay, and stainless steel dual exhaust pipes make it a reliable companion for long highway stretches.[/p][p][/p][p]Visually, the in-game Crown Victoria mirrors the Police Interceptor's tough look, with a black grille, door handles, mirrors, rear trunk panel, and steel wheel rims, while inside, black synthetic leather seats distinguish it from the Interceptor's cloth interior.[/p][p][/p][p]Now that it is coming to American Truck Simulator as part of the FORD Car Pack, we are looking forward to modders turning it into everything from taxis to police cruisers![/p][p]Looking forward to hitting the road in true Ford fashion? [p]Located in Iberia Parish in southern Louisiana is Avery Island, one of the region’s unique locations, and today, we’re mighty excited to share more about this special location which has been brought to life in our upcoming Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator. Let's check it out![/p][p]

Surrounded by swamps and bayous, Avery Island is known for its lush vegetation, live oaks and dense greenery, which our vegetation and asset teams have re-created virtually in detail. The area is also home to a whole host of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled whilst exploring the Island, because you may spot some wildlife, such as the Snowy Egret, White-tailed Deer and even the American Alligator! 


Avery Island isn’t just a natural retreat, it also holds a fascinating history. The island became home to the McIlhenny family in the mid 1800's, who developed pepper-growing and sauce-making traditions that would later earn worldwide recognition. [/p][p]This legacy continues to shape the island today, as Avery Island continues its long-running hot sauce production, which has played a key role in the area’s identity for generations. Its massive underground salt dome provided the essential mineral base for preserving and fermenting peppers, while the warm, humid climate above ground have created the ideal growing conditions for cultivating spicy varieties.[/p][p]

Over time, those working on the island have refined their methods, ageing their pepper mash in wooden barrels and developing techniques that would eventually spread far beyond the region. This long heritage has left an undeniable mark on the island’s culture, economy, and reputation as one of the most iconic hot sauce producing locations in the United States.[/p][p]

To represent this iconic and important industry within American Truck Simulator, we’ve recreated the industry with our in-game brand, Flavorfair, the island’s Food Factory, where you will be able to haul its well known hot sauce, Jalapeño, from Avery Island across the USA.[/p][p][/p][p] BIG in Louisiana 

Whilst the sauce is hot, if you're looking for a challenge that'll make you sweat in Louisiana, then maybe our new Special Transport routes are for you! Truckers who are ready to take on these mighty loads will find several new Special Transport job contracts.

Whilst these routes have been carefully pre-planned by our dispatchers, you can expect there to be some challenging manoeuvres and scenic views on the road to your final destination. As always, trained escort teams and local police will assist in guiding you along the correct route, and where necessary, help block traffic to allow safe passage.
