This year, we ask you to help us reach a combined community goal of 1,500,000 deliveries. That's a huge number, but we know that our #BestCommunityEver has no limits! Also, as you will see, there are a lot of exciting new things to look forward to![/p][p]Beyond the veil of our world lies Brackenreach, a mystical realm steeped in legend and guarded by three elemental witches. Now, through shimmering portals appearing across your homeland, you are invited to step into this spellbound valley to cross foggy swamps, brave eerie forests, and wind your way to the ancient Castle Brackenhelm. Help the witches and the villagers this Halloween by braving the haunted marshes to deliver vital Halloween supplies. The realm awaits your courage—and your arrival.[/p][p]Your personal goal? Complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, more detailed in the rules below. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
On top of all this, you’re also encouraged to help spread the spooky and fun Halloween spirit across the rest of the world by delivering festive supplies to and from cities within the homeland. There will even be some enchanted cargo making its way from Brackenreach back to the homeland—perhaps the witches’ and villagers’ way of saying thank you for your help!

[/p][p]Witches of Brackenreach Rules:[/p][p]Using External Contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, or both, the community goal is to achieve 1,500,000 deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies to or from any city, including the mysterious land of Brackenreach, where your destination will be Castle Brackenhelm. [/p][p][/p][p]There are 4 types of cargo that can be delivered in this event:[/p]

2. [p]Halloween Costumes[/p]
3. [p]Halloween Herbs & Spices[/p]
4. [p]Halloween Crafts[/p]

[p]Your personal goal is to complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, using Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both games combined.[/p][p]Your bonus goal is to discover the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, by driving to it.[/p][p]Rewards[/p]

• [p]Personal: Players who complete the required 15 or more Halloween deliveries will gain a unique World of Trucks Achievement plus an enchanted Witch's Compass cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.

• [p]Community: When the community goal of achieving 1,500,000 Halloween deliveries is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a bewitched Black Cat hanging cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.

• [p]Discovery: When the player discovers the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, they will receive a Spooky Horn vehicle accessory as a Steam inventory item.
  
  Brackenreach directions:[/p][p]A portal to Brackenreach appears once you accept event cargo bound for Castle Brackenhelm.  Find it on the map, a spiral icon, and navigate to it. Look for the sparkles with falling autumn leaves!

  Leaving Brackenreach with cargo takes you to its destination; without cargo, you’ll be sent to a random city for a new job.[/p][p]Note: In order to qualify for any community reward, you must complete at least your personal goal in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.
  
  The event will be concluded on Sunday, the 16th of November at 23:59 UTC.[/p][p]This is our biggest Halloween event ever, and we are super excited to learn of your brave and exciting journeys to the legendary land of Brackenreach, and if you even dared to search for the three guardian witches. It has been such an incredible effort by all the teams to create this wonderful new place, and we’d be thrilled to see photos of you as you venture through all the challenges, reach your goals and enjoy the spoils, this season of Halloween. [p]Louisiana is rich with street art, colorful murals, and striking statues - and our asset and map teams have been drawing plenty of inspiration from them for this upcoming DLC for American Truck Simulator. In today's blog, we'd like to give you a closer look at some of these creative works![/p][p] [/p][h3]Street Art[/h3][p]Louisiana's vibrant murals and street art bring even more color and life to the Pelican State. As you cruise through in your truck, keep an eye out - you might spot the "Experience Ruston" mural on one of the city's buildings, complete with peaches in the background.[/p][p][/p][p]In Mansfield, you'll come across two murals, both featuring the American flag but with very different themes - one capturing the spirit of a baseball game, and the other showcasing an airplane. Over in Shreveport, two more murals await: one is a lively, colorful piece filled with diverse imagery (featured at the top of the blog), while the other spans the entire wall of a tall building in the background. [/p][p][/p][p]And that's not all - you'll discover murals scattered across other cities too, from Lafayette and Baton Rouge to Houma. So next time you're hauling cargo through Louisiana, be sure to look around and take in the art that makes this state even more unique![/p][p] [/p][h3]Statues[/h3][p]Now, let's see some of the statues we have recreated for this DLC! As you explore the streets of Baton Rouge, you'll come across the statue of Christopher Columbus in Columbus Plaza - a tribute to the famed navigator whose transatlantic voyages opened the path to European exploration of the Americas.[/p][p][/p][p]If you head west from there along I-10, the Atchafalaya Welcome Center houses a modest monument honoring the Louisiana Airborne Memorial Bridge and commemorating the service of veterans. [p]Our SCS On The Road series continues with another exciting stop connected to our upcoming RAM & Dodge Car Pack DLC for American Truck Simulator as a part of the broader Road Trip project. This time, we had the privilege of spending the day with a truly iconic piece of American muscle - the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody.[/p][p][/p][p]Known for its aggressive stance, wide fenders, and unmistakable sound, the Challenger Hellcat Widebody is more than just a car; it’s an experience. To bring that experience authentically into our projects, we had the honor of recording the vehicle’s raw and powerful sounds firsthand. From the deep rumble at idle to the unmistakable roar under acceleration, every detail was captured for future use in our games.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]But sound recording was just one part of our day. We also took the chance to do a detailed walk-around of the vehicle, capturing reference material that will help our team recreate this legend as faithfully as possible.[/p][p]We’d like to extend a big thank you to Marek, the proud owner of this Dodge Challenger Hellcat, for lending us his valuable time. [p]You will come across some really wonderful settlements in the Mount Rushmore State. In today's blog, we would like to show you some of them as our map designers are preparing these smaller towns for the upcoming South Dakota DLC for American Truck Simulator.[/p][p] [/p][h3]Belle Fourche[/h3][p]This town of just about 5,000 inhabitants is located on the western border of the state, near both Montana and Wyoming, and not too far from North Dakota, which makes it a regional trade center for people from these surrounding states. It holds the distinction of being the center of the nation because when Hawaii was admitted to the Union in 1959, its landmass – added to the landmass of the continental U.S. – shifted the geographic center approximately 20 miles north of Belle Fourche.[/p][p][/p][h3]Faith[/h3][p]This town is located in the northwest of South Dakota, just on the border of the Cheyenne River Reservation. Truckers passing through this rural settlement will be able to spot a local church, a fossil museum, or a metal dinosaur statue, all currently being recreated as landmarks by our asset and map designers.[/p][p] [/p][h3]Huron[/h3][p]Nestled in east-central South Dakota within the Glacial Lakes and Prairies Region, Huron sits along the scenic James River, an area rich in natural history. Travelers passing through will also find the town's famous landmark - the World's Largest Pheasant statue.[/p][p] [/p][h3]Interior[/h3][p]With fewer than 70 residents, Interior may be one of South Dakota's tiniest towns, but it shouldn't be overlooked. Established in the 1880s, it's the oldest community in the Badlands and serves as a gateway to the sweeping, rugged beauty of Badlands National Park.[/p][p][/p][h3]Murdo[/h3][p]Situated just off I-90, east of Interior, Murdo embodies the spirit of the Wild West through its cowboy-themed events and historic attractions. The town is also home to a remarkable museum featuring more than 200 classic cars - and we paid tribute to that heritage with our own recreation of one of the town's landmarks: a distinctive green vintage automobile.[/p][p][/p][h3]Timber Lake[/h3][p]Timber Lake sits along the Native American Scenic Byway, a route that showcases sweeping views of the Missouri River and the region's untamed, rugged landscapes. It is also nestled along the bank of the beautiful Timber Lake, so keep your eyes peeled for some scenic surroundings when you are driving in those parts![/p][p][/p][h3]White River[/h3][p]Located south of Murdo along U.S. Route 83, White River is a small community of just over 500 residents. Named after the nearby Little White River, the town is a gateway to outdoor adventure, offering excellent fishing and hunting opportunities, along with a strong cowboy culture that's celebrated through local traditions and events.[/p][p][/p][h3]Valentine[/h3][p]Although Valentine is already a city in our Nebraska DLC, its location near the northern border makes it a natural fit for expansion. With the South Dakota DLC, we're extending the city further north to include several notable landmarks. This approach - expanding border towns when introducing a new map DLC - is a common practice that helps create a more seamless and immersive experience.[/p][p][/p][p]And that's all for today!
