Master! Yes, it's me, your faithful Pesky Imp, whom you must have recognized as a ghost... I haven't written anything for a long time. But forgive me, recruiting new ghosts is serious business! Imagine what a challenge it's been to persuade all those marauding phantoms and fretful demons to join our team. You know, one wants fried bats for dinner twice a day, the other wants a separate bedroom and the sound of the sea outside the window. No words!

But... I'm back just in time to bring you some great news. After all, today is our holiday - Halloween! Ghost Keeper has found its way to Scream Fest Steam 2024! That's right, Master - our spooky team is taking to the world.


[h2]What about the news? New POV mode![/h2]
I have even better news for you. We are working on a POV mode that will allow you to see everything through the eyes of .... mortals. Imagine stepping into the shoes of a poor man wandering through a haunted house. You hear murmurs, you feel an icy chill, and the shadows in the dark corners make you break out in a cold sweat.



I'm telling you, Master, POV is not just a mode - it's like living (and dying!) from the perspective of those poor unfortunates we usually scare. This mode allows you to see, hear, and feel every terrifying step of our fear arsenal. It's fun to work on - watching the demons practice their scariest tricks in front of the mirror before wreaking havoc!



Master, stay tuned for more news from the ghost dimension for this is just the beginning. Halloween is our time, and Ghost Keeper isn't slowing down! And you might want to grab some popcorn... mortals don't know what's in store for them.

My Master! It's me, your favorite Pesky the Imp! I know, I know... you've been waiting for something new, and here I am crawling out of the corner again with a new devlog. But don't worry! I have some tasty crumbs from our developer kitchen for you.


It's been quiet as a grave lately (literally!), but that's only because we Imps - especially me - and the rest of our team have been working like crazy on new wonders for the game. The Clever Imp has been hiding out somewhere deep in the dark catacombs, having some mysterious conversations with new ghosts that may be joining our crew. You know how he is - he's always on the lookout for the most sophisticated and subtle ghosts that can scare in a more "elegant" way. Phew! Boring!

And me, running back and forth, disturbing anyone who gets in my way. Here's what I managed to pull out - special behind-the-scenes footage of our artists creating ghost models and textures! Yes, that's right! See how those ghostly faces and creepy shapes are created on our screens. Sometimes even I get scared when I see these things for the first time! It's like magic, only scarier and more complicated.

Dear Master, sorry for the long absence! Ahh, how much has been going on at our hideout...Pesky the Imp went on vacation and I was left all alone with all the problems. Cooking rat tails, cleaning, and still those job interviews...Oh right, job interviews! I found the perfect candidate to join your team! Meet William - The Abyssal Lyricist!


[h2]Grace and Elegance[/h2]
William's face is pale and emaciated, although this is not just an effect of his spiritual form. When he was alive, he was just as pale, just as emaciated, and his blackened, tired eyes testified to his constant creative agony. Though now frayed, the quality of his clothes and grace are a reminder of times past. His hand usually squeezes a dark pen, as if made of pure shadow, from which ethereal ink drips like liquid night. He often writes something feverishly in the air, sketching more verses.

[h2]From Poverty to Fame[/h2]
Born into poverty on the outskirts of Eldritch Hollow, William grew up in a modest home, far from the glitter of the city. Even as a child, he showed a remarkable talent for words and art, finding solace in creating poetry, which he saw as an escape from a harsh reality.

Growing up, he gained fame in the city's taverns, where his lively performances and emotional poetry drew crowds. His talent was quickly recognized, and his ambition led him to the upper classes. The chance for real success came when the Grand Theater offered him the opportunity to write a play, making him a respected author in Eldritch Hollow.

Despite his fame and wealth, William began to feel burned out and tired of his work. The works, once full of passion, began to seem shallow and uninspired. A turning point in his life came when he met a stranger, Nick. He offered him an old book full of dark secrets, promising access to unusual sources of inspiration. The book, however, changed his work, leading him to produce increasingly disturbing pieces.


[h2]Last Night[/h2]
One of his staunchest critics was Leo, who envied William's success. Seizing the opportunity to attack William, Leo wrote a brutal review criticizing his dark new work, leading to a personal clash between the two. William, determined to get even, invited Leo to his home, where their confrontation ended tragically.

After spending the night at William's house, the two disappeared without a word. The investigation found no evidence of foul play, and the case became a mystery that haunted the residents of Eldritch Hollow for years. Speculation about William and Leo's disappearance continues to circulate, and the legend of the dark events of their final moments continues to fascinate the townspeople.

The legend of the House on the Cliff says that after William disappeared, his house became a place of fear and mystery. People reported flickering lights, whispers, and the sound of a pen. According to the legend, William's spirit continues to create the dark, disturbing themes that haunted him. The house is said to be cursed, and legend has it that William's ghost will remain until he completes his final work. Sounds pretty scary, doesn't it?


[h2]Personality[/h2]
The Abyssal Lyricist is passionate and somewhat detached in his poetry. He speaks in rhyme, constantly searching for the muse in the tragedy and comedy of the living. His obsession with creating a masterpiece that will immortalize his spirit has not diminished since his death. It is what drives him to manipulate mortals to live up to his verses, so to speak, and bring his creation to life. Although he was usually charming and amiable, especially to the ladies to whom he dedicated more sonnets, he could be equally impulsive and vindictive, especially toward critics and other artists.

[h2]Skills[/h2]

• Et tu? - William's whispers sow paranoia and doubt in the undertaker's mind, causing him to attack his former friend.
  
• A weight of carrion flesh - William links the fates of two mortals by making it so that, like the lovers in his work, neither can survive if the other dies.
