GTA 5 PC players are about to get the exclusive features from console versions

It may seem slow, but GTA 6 is gradually looming larger on the horizon. In the next chapter of Rockstar's open-world crime saga, we'll finally be heading back to Vice City, and taking in some of that sweet Leonida sunshine. Until then, however, Los Santos remains our center of illegal operations, and it's good news for Grand Theft Auto 5 PC players. Rockstar confirms that the upcoming GTA Online update for December will introduce new robberies, Dispatch Work missions, and possibly the return of one of the story mode's central characters. More importantly, the Red Dead Redemption 2 developer says that GTA 5 features that were previously exclusive to current-gen consoles will finally make the jump to PC in 2025.

Trick-or-treaters, beware! This Halloween, reports of abductions are at a new high. The UFOs above the city’s skyline are seizing unsuspecting citizens and dropping them in a dark, locked basement under Fort Zancudo with up to three other unfortunate souls. Look for clues to restore the power and escape with body and mind intact.

In other unexplained aerial phenomena, Merryweather’s hauled a crashed UFO to Fort Zancudo for testing. Rockstar wants its games to run better on Steam Deck despite GTA Online debacle

In a fresh update for the Rockstar launcher, the studio behind the iconic Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption franchises is trying to make its games run better on Steam Deck. This is despite recently willfully removing compatibility for the online portion of GTA 5.

The Steam Deck is still the best handheld gaming PC on the market as an all-around package, and Rockstar will be aware of this situation given the popularity of its games, particularly Grand Theft Auto 5, on the handheld. It frequently features in the most-played games each month, but a recent update made GTA 5 Unsupported on Steam Deck.
