With the return of those nightmarish Jack O' Lanterns and several free gifts up for grabs, there's quite a few spooky goodies to get your hands on before October ends.

GTA 6 fans desperate for an October reveal are convinced Rockstar are trolling them

A few weeks ago I wrote about Grand Theft Auto players describing the movement of planes in random GTA promotional art as evidence of a forthcoming GTA 6 reveal, timed to intersect with the waning gibbous moon. I thought that the furore might die down after GTA 6 failed to materialise in accordance with the lunar cycle, but it turns out this rabbit hole has no bottom.

Come now, gaze upon the above, just-posted Rockstar promotional image for a new Red Dead Online outfit. To my eye, that picture looks like a weird dude in a mask, gazing at you through piles of skulls. Standard Halloween gamer fare. But it turns out that when you draw lines on it using MS Paint, you end up with the below.

The Halloween Horrors Continue In GTA Online

Halloween season enters its penultimate week as waves of eerie incentives continue in GTA Online. Make space in your wardrobe for a set of gruesome new masks, as there’s no better way to signal the oncoming tide of mischief than by dressing in costume.

Don a nightmarish disguise by playing GTAO anytime this week to receive the Blue Vintage Werewolf Mask. Also, those who dare deliver cargo from any Business Battle through October 25 will secure the Teal Vintage Zombie Mask.

Chaos is still running amok in Freemode, so keep your wits about you, or fall victim to roaming hellhounds, fiendish self-driving cars, and UFOs looming overhead. Use your iFruit camera to capture evidence of ghosts and report back to the Ghosts Exposed crew for ghoulish rewards. New Halloween Deathmatches Drop Dead, Damned and Lost, and Suck It Up continue dispensing extra rewards to any soul brave enough to enter the fray.

The GTA Online weekly update for October 19-26 is here, and Rockstar Games brings some new free gifts for you to grab as the Halloween event festivities continue. Along with its usual round of free cars, bonus rewards, and discounts, there's a new rotation of spooky event modes to play, and the Ghostbusters themed event is still live if you're yet to grab Grand Theft Auto 5's take on the Ecto-1.
