Enhanced version of GTA 5 pushed into March 2022

The enhanced version of GTA 5 for next-gen consoles will be delayed by four months.

Originally set for release on November 11, the game was given a new release window this evening during the PlayStation Showcase. According to Rockstar, the delay came down to the game needing a few additional months for polishing and fine-tuning. To hold us over though, a new trailer showing off the refined version was released.

Upon release, you can expect a range of technical and graphical improvements including performance enhancements for select vehicles in GTA Online.

GTA 5 PS5 upgrades include seamless character switching

GTA 5's PS5 upgrades have finally been detailed during today's PlayStation Showcase after a lot of waiting from players over the last few months. Earlier this year, Rockstar announced that there would be next-gen version of the game, but remained vague on what PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will actually see upgraded with the new edition of the game.

During the September PlayStation Showcase, it was confirmed the game has improved graphics, enhanced gameplay, and the all-important seamless character switching, which is a much requested feature. Unfortunately, we didn't get any concrete details about performance or how the game has actually been improved for next-gen.

Hopefully, before launch, we will see a blog post or another trailer for the game which goes into more detail about what we can expect from the next-gen upgrade for the game on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

GTA Online fastest bikes - every motorbike you need to own

Are you struggling to pick up podium placements in Grand Theft Auto 5 motorcycle races? You're not alone. Learning what to pick in the vehicle selection screen of a GTA Online race is difficult enough, especially if custom vehicles are enabled.

But it doesn't have to be hard. We all know that one wrong selection can lead to a pretty rough race, so if you're clever enough to do your research to find out what the GTA Online fastest bike actually is, you're more likely to have more successful races.

There's a lot to think about, though. While you might be tempted to opt for a bike based on its in-game stats or how quickly you think it can do 0-60mph, it's worth considering other factors, like handling and traction too. So with all of that in mind, here are the fastest bikes in GTA Online, based on their top speed, lap times, and price.

GTA Online's weekly update brings the Union Depository Contract heist

It's Thursday, GTA Online fans, which means one thing: another fresh batch o' content to dive into. This week we've got the usual spread of reward boosts on some of the crime game's various modes, a smattering of discounts, a new prize ride, podium car, and some new sets of wheels for the test track - and the Union Depository Contract heist is now live to play.

This new heist sees you break into the Union Depository's vault to nab the stack of gold stored inside and then get it to your client, and is part of the ongoing GTA Los Santos Tuners update. As with some of the game's other contracts, this one will need you to do some prep work as part of free mode and then head to the vault to carry out the big finale once you've wrapped up all your groundwork.

Elsewhere this week, the new GTA Online prize ride is the two-door sports coupe Cypher, which you can nab if you score first place in five street races. It'll set you back $1,550,000 (or $1,162,50 trade price) in GTA bucks. The latest GTA Online podium car is hefty Landstalker XL SUV, while the new test track rides up for trying out are the Cypher, Dominator GTT, and the Previon.
