Here's GTA 5's Grove Street recreated in Cities: Skylines

There isn't usually a whole lot of crossover between Paradox's strategy and simulation games and huge open-world crime games like Grand Theft Auto 5. You can run an intergalactic criminal corporate murder empire in Stellaris, sure. Also, we get the feeling Trevor Philips would probably get a kick out of ruling a medieval empire like a totalitarian regime in Crusader Kings 3. Nonetheless, Reddit user SpikyMonsters has smushed the two worlds together, and ended up with a nifty recreation of GTA 5's Grove Street in Cities: Skylines.

SpikyMonsters's custom construction should be familiar to GTA V fans, but also those that have been with the series of open-world games since PlayStation classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Grove Street served as the heart of the Grove Street Families' gang operations, and it's also where protagonist CJ Johnson grew up. Plus, it's possibly where Big Smoke originally dreamed up that legendary order. So, a lot of history.

Last Thursday saw GTA V's birthday, which marks seven years since the landmark open-world game's release date.

GTA Online's weekly update brings back double rewards for bunker missions

GTA Online's weekly update is nearly upon us, and so people have been digging into it to see what's coming our way (thanks, Tez2). Surprisingly, it looks like double rewards and experience are back for bunker-focused missions despite us getting those somewhat recently. Regardless, it's a good way to make cash, so I'm not complaining.

Cash and experience have also been doubled for Mobile Operations Center (MOC) missions. Both of these were introduced when the Gunrunning update went live June 13, 2017. Good news if you're a fan of that update, then. You'll also find a similar boost in rewards for Survival game modes.

Elsewhere, you'll get the Warstock Cap just for logging in this week, and there are time trials for Observatory and Vespucci Canals. The GTA 5 podium car also swapped around this week, as it usually does, and is now the Declasse DR1. You can also catch a 50% discount on the Torero, Swinger, Savestra, and more. As this update is all about Bunkers and MOCs, there are also discounts on buying those.

GTA Online's weekly update includes double rewards for the Air Freight missions

It's that time of the week again, folks, which means the bonuses and deals in GTA Online's weekly update have been dug up. The information comes from reliable Rockstar tipster Tez2, who rounds these up every week.

This time around you are getting double experience and cash from the Air Freight missions. If you don't know what missions those are, they're a series of Smuggler's Run missions that were introduced in the GTA Online update of the same name. The task hasn't proved to be the best source of racking up experience and cash, so hopefully the double reward will make it worthwhile. There are also triple rewards for the Overtime Rumble and King of the Kill PVP modes, so you may want to think about doing those if you're looking to rack up some funds and experience.

There are heaps of discounts on GTA Online cars, too. To name a few, the Torero, Swinger, and Savestra are half off, and the Deluxo and Zhaba are 25% off. The GTA 5 podium car has also been swapped about this week and is now the Itali GTB.

GTA Online's casino diamonds are back, with high probability

Diamonds have returned as a reward for the GTA Online casino heist in the latest update. If you're planning a run on the casino's vault in the open-world game, you've got a high chance of maximum pay-out for the foreseeable future.

The update comes via dataminer Tez2, who runs through everything that's coming in the latest patch. Generally when you rob the casino, you'll find a cash reward of up to $2.1 million, which is hardly chump change, but when diamonds are in play, you can make considerably more. The extra valuable stones are periodically taken out and re-inserted, to help mitigate folks getting too rich or trying for the gambling hub too often. As of now, you can start planning your next heist, and odds are good you'll be rewarded for your exploits in the crime game.

Some other additions include the Coquette D10 as the podium vehicle, 40% off all bunkers and renovations, and a number of cars, including Stirling GT, Rapid GT Classic, Infernus Classic and Swinger are a lovely half-off. The highlight, going by replies at least, is the flourescent Lemon Sports track pants and top, which will guarantee you stand-out in any crowd. Might be best to leave that one in the wardrobe if you're thinking of trying any high-risk crimes.

GTA Online gets double payouts and a big Diamond Adversary series prize this week

There are some super sweet rewards and a big "one-time bonus" up for grabs in GTA Online this week. Rockstar Games has posted details of the online crime game's new set of challenges and goodies, which mean the chance to "make a killing in the Diamond Adversary series" - that is, scoop up some double payouts and a "quarter million in stone-cold cash" in-game.

"You don't need to tap the vault to win big at The Diamond this week," Rockstar's latest newswire post says. That's because the opportunity to grab some goodies is actually on the Diamond Casino and Resort floor itself, through the location's scenario-based Adversary modes. For all of this week, you'll earn double payouts for each and every mode in the series - and there's a "special one-time bonus to players on the winning side of any mode in the series: a quarter million in stone-cold cash, deposited within seven days of winning".

Plus, from now until September 9, you'll also be able to scoop double cash and RP rewards in all of the Gerald's Last Play missions, as well as score double rewards in the Special Cargo Sales.
