GTA RP's latest star is The Undertaker

In GTA RP, you can roleplay as anyone. Usually, people take the opportunity to live out the lives of ordinary people like cops or journalists but, now and then, you get a celebrity cameo. Someone decided to roleplay as a glitchy Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077, while we've also seen a Wario hit the streets of Los Santos. More recently, though, we've been blessed with the presence of The Undertaker, an old favourite wrestler from WWE.

Streamer BigSkenger decided to change up a recent stream by donning his best Undertaker-style garb and hitting the streets in a hearse, with the old wrestler's signature theme song in tow. The content creator gets into some scuffs with the locals, even hitting one with a Tombstone Piledriver, forcing some reactionary roleplay. Naturally, you can't just stroll around hitting people with your favourite wrestling moves, so the police eventually show up.

The Dead Man does a good job evading the police at first, even using a manoeuvre to trick the coppers into going down the wrong road. Eventually, the police catch up to the player, slapping the handcuffs on him after a gunfight ensues. I guess hearses don't make the best getaway vehicles after all.

GTA Online's weekly update brings The Lost Contract and the Vectre

It's Thursday, GTA Online fans, which means another weekly update has come to the crime game's streets of Los Santos. While Rockstar won't post the full rundown of what's dropped until later in the day, fans have been taking a look now the update's here, so why wait to check it out?

As posted by Tez2 on Twitter, the Emperor Vectre sports car has now come to the game - the latest new car available following the recent launch of the GTA Online Tuners Update. This ride's a two-door sports coupe that'll set you back $1,785,000 of your in-game cash, or $1,338,750 at trade price. This week's GTA Online Prize Ride is the Futo GTX - a three-door compact sports liftback with a real retro, '80s vibe - while the new GTA Online podium car is the even more retro, '60s-style Michelli GT two-door coupe. On the test track this week, you'll find the Jester RR, Growler, and Vectre.

As for new gameplay content, this week sees The Lost Contract become available, which is a new contract mission all about tracking down some "Lost MC" meth labs and taking them out, going by its Fandom page. It's got a pretty hefty payout of $180,000 in-game bucks. Pursuit races and the Siege Mentality adversary mode are offering double rewards this week, too.

GTA mods site reportedly hit with takedown request from Take-Two

GTA mods site reportedly hit with takedown request from Take-Two

It looks like another Grand Theft Auto mod website has been hit with a series of takedown requests from Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive. Someone from the LibertyCity.net team has updated website users in a blog post that several mods have been taken down following reported DMCA strikes from the publisher.

The website has provided a list of mods that have been removed, and if you're familiar with GTA modding, you might well recognise them. There are slices of fan content that include locations from previous Grand Theft Auto games like Vice and Liberty City. While the post doesn't clarify why these mods have been removed, it does mention that all of them "were ports of the locations, cities, cars, and characters of old Rockstar Games titles on newer GTA engines". From now, they'll no longer be available on the site.

The reported takedown requests follow a series of DMCA claims elsewhere. Earlier this year reverse-engineering projects for GTA 3 and Vice City were pulled from GitHub under what appear to be similar circumstances. These projects aimed to offer a range of improvements to the old games, such as faster loading times and better controller compatibility.
