GTA Online's weekly update boosts rewards on Deadline, Biker Sell missions

GTA Online's weekly update got off to a rockier start than we're used to, but here we are. Players tried to jump in to see what's new in Los Santos this week and were met with server issues that stopped them from logging in. That's all fine and sorted now, though, so we can dig into what's in the GTA Online weekly update this time around.

If you're looking to raise some money this time around, you can get triple the usual rewards on the Deadline adversary mode. You all hop on Tron-style bikes and try to trip each other up with the light trails that shoot out the back of your vehicle - it's great. If you fancy something else, though, you can get double the rewards on Biker Sell missions relating to cocaine and methamphetamine - well, it's good to have options.

It's a good week to get to the Karin Previon if you fancy it. All you have to do is place in the top five in a Los Santos Car Meet series race for four days in a row to claim the prize ride.

GTA Online's weekly update brings extra rewards, a new prize ride, and free bicycles

The end of the week is in sight, and here we are - another Thursday, bringing another GTA Online weekly update full of discounts to nab, rides to get behind the wheel of, and bonuses to earn. Rockstar Games' official newswire post with the full rundown of this week's goodies won't arrive until later, but there's no reason to wait when fans have already been checking out what's just gone live.

Tez2 has posted their regular summary of what's new in Los Santos this week on Twitter, and reveals that the latest GTA Online prize ride is the sporty three-door liftback coupe Jester RR, which you can scoop up by coming in the top three positions in Street Races for five days on the trot. This week's GTA Online podium vehicle is the Lectro bike, which first hit the game as part of its 2015 Heists update. Also in the land of cars, the Test Track wheels this week are the Dominator GTT, Calico GTF, and ZR350.

Extra rewards for the new update are triple RP and GTA$ the 2v2, trucks-versus-cyclists Hasta La Vista Adversary Mode, which also dropped way back with the Heists update.

Enhanced version of GTA 5 pushed into March 2022

The enhanced version of GTA 5 for next-gen consoles will be delayed by four months.

Originally set for release on November 11, the game was given a new release window this evening during the PlayStation Showcase. According to Rockstar, the delay came down to the game needing a few additional months for polishing and fine-tuning. To hold us over though, a new trailer showing off the refined version was released.

Upon release, you can expect a range of technical and graphical improvements including performance enhancements for select vehicles in GTA Online.

GTA 5 PS5 upgrades include seamless character switching

GTA 5's PS5 upgrades have finally been detailed during today's PlayStation Showcase after a lot of waiting from players over the last few months. Earlier this year, Rockstar announced that there would be next-gen version of the game, but remained vague on what PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will actually see upgraded with the new edition of the game.

During the September PlayStation Showcase, it was confirmed the game has improved graphics, enhanced gameplay, and the all-important seamless character switching, which is a much requested feature. Unfortunately, we didn't get any concrete details about performance or how the game has actually been improved for next-gen.

Hopefully, before launch, we will see a blog post or another trailer for the game which goes into more detail about what we can expect from the next-gen upgrade for the game on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
