A new GTA game is "well underway", Rockstar confirms

Rockstar Games has confirmed that the "next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway". While the news is surely unsurprising given both the series' longevity so far and the astonishing success of 2013's Grand Theft Auto V - which, as of November 2021, has sold 155 million copies - it does mean we now have official confirmation that the next GTA is in the works, whatever it might be.

"With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series," Rockstar says in a new Newswire post. "With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered - and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway."

While there are no details beyond this on what the game is, exactly, the studio adds that it looks forward to "sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details".

GTA Online's weekly update adds a new Contract motorcycle

Weekly reset day has arrived in GTA Online. Every Thursday, Rockstar Games updates the online game with new goodies, discounts, and challenges. The official rundown will appear on the Newswire later in the day, though the content refresh is already live. As such, GTA Online players have been mulling around to see what's new.

We're still getting a steady rollout of new vehicles from The Contract update, and this week is no different. The Western Reever motorcycle is now available at Legendary Motorsport for $1,900,000 in-game bucks. If you're into your vehicles, the bike looks a tad like the Arch Method 143. The Western Reever has appeared in The Contract's story quests, so you'll likely find it familiar looking.

That's not all that's happening this week, either. The GTA podium vehicle is the Infernus Classic, whereas the GTA Prize Ride is the Comet S2, which you can get for placing first in pursuit races for three days in a row. If you're looking to raise some extra funds this week, you can get double the in-game cash and experience on Transform races, Turner contracts, and the Sumo adversary mode.

GTA 5 car cheats - PC console commands for GTA V

Are you looking for GTA 5 car cheats? Be honest, if you could spawn any type of vehicle right at your feet, you'd have a sports car on every corner in GTA. Sure, you could steal a car from a random pedestrian, but where's the fun in that? Only the most expensive vehicles are worth your time, and if you use GTA 5 car cheats, you never have to drive a cheap car ever again.

The beauty of playing GTA 5 on PC is that you have three options for entering car cheats: the cheat console menu, your in-game mobile phone, and using old school cheat inputs with a controller. The easiest method depends on what input device you're using - even if you're using a pad, it might be faster to keep a keyboard nearby as the PC cheats are easier to remember.

Entering GTA 5 cheats disables achievements, so we highly recommend making a backup of your save before proceeding. Here's every GTA 5 car cheat to instantly spawn cars, motorbikes, and much more.

GTA Online's weekly update adds a new car from The Contract

It's Thursday, friends, and that means it's reset day for GTA Online. Rockstar Games will have the full rundown on its newswire later on in the day, but the update is already live, so players are visiting Los Santos to see what's new and worth taking note of.

This week, the big swanky addition is a new car from The Contract update known as the Declasse Granger 3600LX. You may recognise it from the recent slice of new content as it looks like a four-door, full-size SUV. You can buy it from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $1,380,000 in-game currency (or $1,035,000 if you have something to trade in).

If you're looking to make some money to put towards your new set of wheels, you can get triple the usual GTA$ and RP rewards on the Every Bullet Counts adversary mode and bike races. Weed and document forgery alongside MC work, meanwhile, are paying out double rewards. Weed farms and document forgery offices are also 50% off this week so it's an ideal time to nab one of those if you haven't already - and, no, I can't believe I wrote that sentence either.

Here's Grand Theft Auto 5 on an original Game Boy, somehow

Sebastian Staacks is a coder and good old-fashioned tinkerer, whose blog There Oughta Be is rammed with technical curiosities from LED cubes to an automated irrigation system for his lawn.
