Now you can ride your real bike around Grand Theft Auto in multiplayer

One of the coolest mod ideas is GTBike V, which basically lets you turn Grand Theft Auto V into Zwift, pedalling a bike in the real world to ride a virtual bike around Los Santos. Now a new version has added multiplayer, letting you trundle around the same city independently or join up for group rides. It almost makes me want to get the kit to hook my bike up.

GTA Online's weekly update boosts Lamar missions

Once again Thursday is upon us, which means it's time for the GTA Online weekly update, and as always players are already hard at work digging out all the juicy updates ahead of the official patch notes from Rockstar Games later on.

This week's rewards boots are on Lamar missions, Bunker Sell missions, Special Cargo missions, and select Survival Modes, all of which will double up your in-game cash and reputation points rewards, making it a great time to cash in if you've been stockpiling. Meanwhile, Tuner Races are offering up twice the normal reputation boost. Players with GTA+ membership can claim triple reputation rewards in Street Races, though this paid "feature" is limited to those on the newest console hardware.

If you're after some fancy new digs, high-end apartments are available at a 30% discount. If a new set of wheels is more your style, the stylish Jester RR sports coupe is 40% off. Alternatively, you can nab yourself a Savestra as the elusive GTA podium vehicle if you get lucky spinning the Diamond Casino wheel, or earn this week's GTA Prize Ride, the Itali GTO, for five top-three finishes in LS Car Meet races.

GTA Online's GTA+ membership lets you pay $6 for new microtransactions

Rockstar Games has only just released GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but now you will be able to subscribe to a subscription service that features a bunch of questionable benefits. GTA+ is the name of the service and it includes more microtransactions for you to buy, old content, and a fair bit more.

Costing $5.99 a month (roughly £4.55) the service offers up $500,000 of cash every 30 days, old properties from previous gameplay updates for you to buy, cash and RP bonuses, exclusive discounts and special vehicle upgrades. The service kicks off on March 29, 2022.

While all of this might seem fairly uneventful, GTA+ members will also get access to exclusive microtransactions. Yes, you read that right. Members will get exclusive GTA+ Shark Cards which they can then purchase for real money in the Microsoft Store or PlayStation Store. No, you don't get them for free, you have to pay for them.
