This is a PSA that our Early Bird Car price ends on October 9th.

After that, the price of WHAT THE CAR? will be 19.99 USD.

🍌 That means you still have TWO WEEKS to snag it at the low price of 9.99 USD 🍌

Q: Will it be on sale later? A: Yes, probably.

Q: Why are you increasing the price? A: Our launch price was an “Early Bird” pricing where the first people who picked it up (potentially still you if you’re reading this right now!) got a chance to grab it at a lower price. We’ve gotten some feedback with people questioning whether there was less stuff in WTC? than our first game WTG? due to the price difference, which is contradictory since there’s more stuff in WTC?

The price change is going to reflect the value of the game a lot better 🧡

Q: Will you sell any physical copies?
A: No, but you can go outside and look at a real copy of a car (no legs though, sadge).

Q: But it’s my birthday on the 9th..? A: It’s actually my birthday. Hand over your presents. Gimme.

Introducing the fancy schmancy Glass Car! 🚗 💨

Breaking glass isn’t as easy as it looks. It’s actually quite a pane. ಥ‿ಥ

We’ve made three new levels for you, we're wondering if you have any break-throughs with them

Additionally! You can make your own levels with Glass Car! 🥳 Let’s see you shatter our expectations with the level creator - and please post them here or in the Discord so we all can see and try them out! 🤓

And remember: Don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house or drive a glass Car.
But do drive it into things, cause it looks funny.




We've also gotten featured a few places! Feel free to share with friends and family and pets you wanna get in on the silly car craze. We're absolutely bamboozled so many car magazines are actually picking us up...... But we ARE the most... realistic car game... if the car was like our car....

• Silver times were strangely hard to get in Player Made levels. You can finally be mid now! 😎
  
• Card Book UI was messed up on Episode 5: Driving. You should be able to check your cards now 🃏

Hope you've all had a nice weekend! CAR and the bears have been off on shenanigans.

Y'all are ENERGETIC about reporting bugs so we've done a second pass over the things you've spotted! Grab a nice drink and have a skim through the report.

• Specials and dailies didn't get counted towards their achievements; this should be corrected now! Go get those achievements, gang!
  
• Remix UGC pads in specials don't show crowns for completion. You dropped this, king 👉👑
  
• The bear at the start of Wind Special update has its speech bubble disappear right away. Let him speak!!!
  
• In Episode 4: LONGER you can spawn after a closed barrier. Oopsie
  
• SteamDeck: UI was scaled too small 🤏 Should be easier to read now!
  
• Jumping on top of building for gold shortcut in the skull level Escape Car-tist was too unreliable. RIP to everyone who went for this before the patch 💀
  
• Getting the card on top of tent of DO CARS DREAM OF GIRAFFE WHEELS? required too much acrobatics. The giraffes should be slightly easier to wrangle now. Just slightly. 🦒
  
• In Episode 1: JUMPING you could skip the barrier by falling in the water. We've put baby railings up now.
  
• In THEY SEE ME ROLLING you lost all your NYOOMENTUM when entering a road. That felt bad. It should be rolling better now. 👩‍💼
  

As part of the fix, we've also adjusted the difficulty in getting gold in some levels, overall. This round was particularly focused on the Sas-Car levels! We listen all the time to your feedback on all levels, so please let us know (either here or on Discord) and we'll dig back into others too!

In this event, we really wanted to highlight our level creator tool! So we made some brand new levels where you have to solve the puzzles using the level creator car forms

You’ll get to earn four stamps in the categories:
DESTROY
MOVE
CREATE
ROAD

And remember, there are cards in each level 👀 but you’ll have to be creative to get them 🧠💡

You can access the event from the Home room.

On another note...

Gold Times
Some player and normal levels are super hard to get gold on right now. We've sent a team of experts (they’re all bears) on the issue is, they’ve said it might be in the algorithm and hopefully we can do some fixes by next week 🤞

• Fixed issue where intro words could get clipped off. Those little songs are meant to be heard in their full, weird glory!
  
• Fixed links to "Specials" surveys. No longer a long /steam/steam/steam chain, so you can actually let us know what you think of them!
  
• Fixed CAR IS BALL particle issue. We don't talk about that.
  
• Fixed being unable to like a player-made level if you already liked a level previously. Give all the likes!
  
• Fixed Episode 3 and 4 Crown and Card Achivements. Keep huntin' for that gold!
