A recently identified security vulnerability within Unity has been spotted, and while there is currently no evidence of impact on users, we’re taking all relevant steps to ensure you’re on the latest and safest version of the game.

To keep you safe, we’ve released a new patch that addresses the issue. Please update your game as soon as possible to stay protected.

Experimental Beta Branch 2 | Now Available | Goblin Cleanup

As we mentioned at the end of last week, our team has been working hard on Patch 2, which brings significant improvements and adjustments to Goblin Cleanup, all based on your community feedback![/p][p][/p][p]Patch 2 needs a little bit more time to cook, but in the meantime, we want to roll out our second Experimental Beta Branch to you. It's time to get experimental once more, Goblins! 🧌[/p][p][/p][p]If you would like to try out our patch early and experience the new improvements that Patch 2 has to offer, you can now opt into this beta branch. Before we jump into how to do so, here are the new key features that arrive in this Beta Branch...[/p][p][/p][h2]Experimental Beta Branch 2 - Opt In Now! [/h2][h3]New Features & Improvements:[/h3]
  • [p]Reset Unrestored Items: Accidentally thrown a book into the abyss? You can now reset unrestored items back to their original locations! Head to the pause menu and you'll find the new option "Reset Unrestored Item" under the "Unstuck" option.[/p]
  • [p]Improvements to the Scanner: The scanner now provides much better visual feedback to you on the items located around the dungeon.[/p]
  • [p]Addition of Restorable Items Scanning: You can now scan for restorable items! That means no more searching every nook and cranny of the dungeon for the last singular fork.[/p]
  • [p]Balancing to the XP system: Level thresholds have been significantly reduced. Ready to see your levels shoot up Goblin? Jump into the beta branch and you'll see! We've also implemented a hard cap for levels at Level 21.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Please note that these new additions may contain minor issues. If you do encounter any bugs during your Beta Branch 2 playthrough, please use our dedicated pinned thread at the top of our Steam Discussions page to discuss this.

We are also aware of an issue in The Hot Springs regarding The Golem Heart so interacting with it may not work as intended on the Beta Branch until the full patch next week.[/p][p][/p][p]Alongside these additions, this beta branch includes a number of bug fixes, from correcting hat and tail positions to removing an invisible collision from a certain pesky drawbridge.

How to opt in:[/h3][p]We're aiming to release this patch to all next week, but here's the steps so you can opt into this beta branch today:[/p]
  • [p]Right-click Goblin Cleanup in your Steam library.[/p]
  • [p]Select Properties.[/p]
  • [p]Go to the Betas tab.[/p]
  • [p]Select experimental_goblins in the dropdown menu.[/p]
  • [p]Give Steam a minute to switch to the beta branch.[/p]
  • [p]You've now opted into the beta branch![/p][p][/p]
[p]Please note: Whilst you are playing our Experimental Beta Branch, you WILL NOT be able to match make with players on the default branch. [/p][p]We're now a week on from our Steam Early Access launch, and we have been thrilled to see your positive feedback towards our game! πŸ’š Over the last week, our tiny team has been focused on addressing your launch feedback in adjustments and bug fixes to bring you more improvements to Goblin Cleanup.[/p][p][/p][h2]Patch 2: Arriving Soon[/h2][p]We're excited to announce that a second patch for Goblin Cleanup will arrive very soon. Patch 2 brings a long list of improvements, QoL adjustments, and bug fixes. This builds upon our first patch, which we launched at the end of last week.[/p][p]We're aiming for Patch 2 to release next week and will keep you updated on this via our Goblin Discord server. Here are some main additions that our next patch will bring:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Addition of an ability to scan for pickable objects that need resetting, alongside tweaks to make the object scanning more noticeable![/p]
  • [p]Balancing the current levelling system to bring down the thresholds of experience needed per experience level. This will make it easier for you to obtain some cosmetics options that are difficult to obtain with the current levelling system.[/p]
  • [p]Change to the completion percentage of Level Challenges across all levels, from its current Cleanup 100% to Cleanup 85% after Patch 2. (Please note, we may change this back to 100% at a later date, but this alteration will allow for more players to achieve the Level Challenge and mitigate problems with the 100% Cleanup challenge if you experience any issues when cleaning up a level.)[/p]
  • [p]Even more Bug Fixes & Improvements from the community's launch feedback![/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]After Patch 2 & Our Major Content Updates[/h2][p]We'd like to use this time in between patches to discuss what we have in store for after Patch 2. Our First Major Content Update will arrive after Patch 2, as we turn our attention back to game content! [/p][p][/p][p]Here's a first look at what you can expect from our future Content Updates:[/p][p][/p][h2]Content Update 1[/h2][h3]Male Goblins[/h3][p]Firstly, we've heard your comments, and Male Goblins will arrive in our first Content Update! Alongside the addition of Male Goblins in Content Update 1, we're also aiming to bring some Male-presenting outfit options in this Content Update for added Goblin customisation![/p][p][/p][p]At Early Access launch, we held off releasing with Male Goblins, as we wanted more outfit options to be ready with the addition of Male Goblins, so you could customise your character to your liking![/p][p][/p][p]Our aim with customisation is to make all our outfit customisation options available to select from and equip, regardless of whether you choose a Male or Female Goblin model. This may not be fully implemented from our first Content Update, but we'll continue to develop our customisation features throughout Early Access to ensure all outfit options are available, no matter what you select. Overall, we aim to provide you with the best Goblin Maid customisation options possible during Steam Early Access and beyond![/p][p][/p][h2]Content Update 2[/h2][h3]More Dungeon 1 Levels[/h3][p]After implementing Male Goblin Models, we'll bring three new levels to Goblin Cleanup in our second content update. Patch 1 is OUT NOW for Goblin Cleanup!

[/p][p]Hotfix Patch 1 is now live for Goblin Cleanup! Our tiny team have been hard at work cleaning up bugs you've reported to us since our launch into Steam Early Access.

Before we jump into fixes, we also want to thank all the Goblins who played our Experimental Beta Branch for this patch yesterday!
[/p][p]We're happy to announce that Hotfix Patch 1 specifically fixes the locked door issue in the Prison level, improves the behavior of Skeletons in the same level, and brings improved Ultrawide support for the Customisation and Shop menus. Additional fixes are also included, so please see our full patch notes for all details below:
