New Map: Ohm Base

Built by Impact Labs for Project Ohm, this now abandoned and radiated research base suffered catastrophic failure when their experiment - Zappy - broke free.

Kindred Clash

Kindred Species are a new type of playable sharks coming to Depth, that fight in a similar manner to one of Depth's existing sharks. For example, a Kindred Species to the Whitetip would feature Pilot Fish centric gameplay, while a Kindred Species to the Bull would feature the Rage mechanic.
We believe this is a great way for players to find a shark that really fits their playstyle, while not greatly increasing the amount of game knowledge required for new players to learn the sharks.
We're really excited about adding more sharks to Depth, and hope you all enjoy getting to play as more of your favorite species as they enter the waters!

1. Spinner Shark (Mako)
The Spinner Shark is a swift shark known for spinning while feeding and leaping out of the water.
2. Silvertip Shark (Oceanic Whitetip)
The Silvertip Shark is known for the bold actions it takes against divers.
3. Sand Tiger Shark (Tiger)
The Sand Tiger Shark is known for its stealthy hunting and signature sideways attack.
4. Salmon Shark (Great White)
The Salmon Shark specializes in regulating its body temperature, and can be recognized by dark spots on its bright underbelly.
5. Porbeagle Shark (Great White)
The Porbeagle Shark is full of energy and uniquely sports a small white patch on the rear of its dorsal fin.
6. Lemon Shark (Tiger)
The Lemon Shark is a powerful species which will selectively feed on a species by stalking it.
7. Blue Shark (Mako)
The Blue Shark will swim at fast speeds to reach its prey and can be recognized with its blue and white counter-shaded body.
8. Blacktip Reef Shark (Oceanic Whitetip)
The Blacktip Reef Shark can be attracted by the use of metal tools, and is often seen stalking shallow reefs.

Play matchmade games to earn points for your chosen side!

New Drop Hadal - Zappy

Developed in secret at Ohm Base, this shark broke free from its test chamber resulting in catastrophic destruction of the facility. This ultra rare Hadal skin has a chance of dropping at the end of every game!

Last Tide, a new game from Digital Confectioners

Over the past few years we've been working on both Depth and a new shark filled title, Last Tide! We want to give a huge thanks to the entire Depth community for helping support our studio, and we're excited to build both games with you all over the coming years. Add Last Tide to your Steam wishlist to be among the first to know when Last Tide goes live this August!

What is Last Tide?

Last Tide is a battle royale shooter sending 100 divers to the depths of the ocean! Avoid bloodthirsty sharks, locate equipment, and do whatever it takes to be the last diver swimming!

Can I play as a shark in Last Tide?

No. Last Tide focuses on delivering tense Diver vs Diver gameplay, which we think is a great reason to play both Last Tide and Depth!

Is this the end for Depth?

Absolutely not! We've been working on Last Tide for years, all while releasing regular content updates and events for Depth. We never intended for Digital Confectioners to be a one game studio, and will be working our hardest to support both projects well into the future.

Can I Run Last Tide?

Last Tide is built from the ground up on Unreal Engine 4 allowing us to create a better looking game than ever before, check out the system requirements to see if you can play!

Retiring Community Treasures Treasure Marketability Changes

As the application of gambling regulations to video games changes, and potential new legislation is introduced in jurisdictions around the world, we want to ensure that Depth is available for as many of our players as possible. As outlined in Depth's 2018 Roadmap we will be retiring the sale and trade of all treasures in one week. While free reward treasures will remain in Depth, to comply with all international laws treasures from any source will no longer be sold by us, nor marketable on the Steam Marketplace. Note that this change applies only to the treasures themselves, any skins which are unboxed will remain marketable for the foreseeable future. At this time, we have no plans to make skins from the Community Treasures available on the Depth Item Store, however this may be something we may look to exploring in the future to continue to support our content creators. In recent months about 12% of Depth's revenue has come from treasure sales, so while this is some money it is not a large enough amount that it will impact our update schedule or content patch sizes.

Edit: Added FAQ
Which treasures exactly will not be tradeable/marketable?
All Treasures - this includes the Community Treasures, Event Treasures, Quest Treasures, etc.

Will my skins remain tradeable/marketable?
Yes, all skins will remain tradeable/marketable. This includes skins obtained from treasures both past/future.

Is Depth going Free-to-Play?
We currently have no plans of going Free-to-Play. (This question seemed to come up a lot below.)

Are you turning off the Steam Marketplace?
No, we have no plans on turning off the Steam Marketplace. Only the treasures themselves will no longer be marketable. All the skins will remain on the market, and remain marketable.
