Hotfix v0.2.1.364

A small update today to address some issues people encountered with the new hitchhikers update.
[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where saving and loading near a hitchhiker on the road would automatically place them on your caravan.
  • Fixed a situation where accepting a hitchhiker on the caravan would sometimes lock out player input. Note that the bug still may prevent the hitchhiker from getting on the caravan, but you should at least not get stuck anymore. Investigations ongoing!

Content Update 0.2.1


Hi everyone! With this week's update, you're going to start seeing people around the world who can use a lift! If it's not too much trouble, why not stop and help them out? They'll enjoy a good chat as well, so lend an ear and enjoy the company.

[h2]Fixes[/h2]
Monday saw some of the more pressing bugs from the 0.2.0 update being fixed, so we're a bit lighter on fixes today.
  • Fixed the kneading mini-game while playing with keyboard and mouse.
  • Fixed duplicate characters in some areas.

Early Access HotFix v0.2.0.350

  • Added a "Help I'm Stuck" button to settings menu to teleport caravan/player to start location.
  • Fixed Caravan being knocked across the world by player carrying lemons (yes really).
  • Fixed Postcard error when viewing map while driving.
  • Fixed flossy quest issue where the game sometimes deleted poor flossy at night time.
  • Fixed Quest tracking issue with Carmel Sundae/Gilligan

Update 0.2.0 - Harvestvale South!


[h2]Harvestvale South[/h2]
It's finally here! The people of Harvestvale South are ready for you and Bubba to come on over and spread some happiness. That is, once you've helped Bob and his crew wrap up their roadworks. Come on down, say hello, and see who can use the help of our two favourite Guild Rookies!

[h2]Quest Tracker[/h2]
But that's not all! This update also includes the first pass of the new 'quest tracker' functionality. It will (like many other parts of the game) continue to be tweaked and adjusted, but it's ready for people to start using and giving feedback on. As mentioned, we really wanted to have something that was suitably 'in-world' rather than a regular old checklist, so Aunty Mads has declared Bubba take on the role of "Chief Scribbler"—taking notes on the backs of postcards as you help people out around the world.

[h2]A Note About Saves[/h2]
With this release, we've made some adjustments to the overall pacing of the game. In order to give quests at a more controlled pace, we've introduced prerequisites for certain quests. This means that for new games, certain existing quests won't be available until some other condition is met (e.g. completing another quest, unlocking an upgrade, etc). However, for existing saves, this might mean that some players will see quests they've already completed become active again. But rest assured, any items, recipes, happiness, etc. you've accumulated are unaffected and will still be present.

[h2]Steam Deck[/h2]
We've also done a little work on Steam Deck support. It should now automatically pop up the keyboard at the name entry screen during character creation. We've also submitted this build for verification with Valve in hopes of getting Cozy Caravan verified for Steam Deck. Hopefully that should at least remove the "Unsupported" label on Cozy Caravan once they've had a chance to review it. 🤞

[h2]General Changes[/h2]
  • Added Harvestvale south, along with associated quests, characters, and items.
  • Added quest tracker to map screen.
  • Made pacing changes to quest unlocking. Various quests now have prerequisites to enable them, to help spread things out a little more consistently. (For some players, this will re-enable some quests they have already completed. However, you won't lose any inventory or recipe unlocks).
  • Added a navigation path to the map screen when transporting a hitchhiker.
  • Collecting eggs now requires the wrangling of some begerks.
  • Added some new photo-mode poses.
  • Updated the spawning of world activities to give a better variety.
  • Improvements to the timing window on Hopscotch.

[h2]Fixes[/h2]
There's been a lot of changes on this build, so we'd be here all day if we listed every fix, so here are some of the more noteworthy.
  • Fixed some items which, when in the player's backpack, would launch the caravan into the air while driving. While very funny, it wasn't very helpful.
  • Fixed some objects not appearing during crafting.
  • Improved the behaviour of the direction arrow while carrying hitchhikers on the caravan.
  • Fixed a possible crash while carrying hitchhikers.
  • Fixed some produce at farms being spawned under the ground.
  • Fix the till at markets not playing animations.
  • Improve pop-in while loading saves.
  • Fixed a bug causing the waiter mini-game to get stuck in a state where patrons wanted their empty glasses removed when none was present.

Content Update v0.1.3.328

Hi everyone! We're squeezing in one more small content drop before our 0.2 update with the rest of Harvestvale. We were intending on releasing that this week, but with Steam Next Fest going on, we thought it'd be best to just wait a little bit so as not to get lost in the frenzy. It also gives us a little more breathing room to sort out some issues that came up in testing.

But we're not about to let this week go by without something nice! So how about a Froggy outfit pack? 🐸

While our focus has been on the new update, we've merged back a few small fixes to this build as well.

  • Fixed an issue that was stopping froglets from croaking.
  • Fixed some rare exceptions which were appearing in some players' logs.


This should be the last content update before the Harvestvale South release. We're aiming to have that available some time next week, so keep an eye out!
