In our experience, shooting games are generally pretty slow to be approved on Steam Greenlight, but that was fast!! Hopefully that means that you guys are enjoying ASTRO PORT’s games and looking forward to the next ones! :) THANK YOU to everyone for voting and bringing this next installment of the ASTRO SAGA to Steam!

For this release, we’ll be implementing dual analog controls, online leaderboards, achievements, trading cards, and should have a Linux version reading hopefully in time for simultaneous release with the Windows version. In view of the work to be done, end of October would be a realistic release date, but we will make it earlier if at all possible. Please watch for future announcements!

The fifth game in ASTRO PORT’s ASTRO SAGA series, STEEL STRIDER, is now listed for approval and in need of YOUR vote on Steam Greenlight!

STEEL STRIDER is the follow up to GIGANTIC ARMY and pays homage to the great run and gun games such as Turrican and Super Contra, but with mouse / dual analogue stick-operated weapons. It also contains many nods, winks, and cameos from other ASTRO PORT games, so fans of the series should particularly enjoy this installment :)

We would love to bring this game to Steam, but we have to pass Steam Greenlight first! Please take a moment to vote YES at the below link and bring STEEL STRIDER to Steam!

Here are the details:

+ Online leaderboards added
+ Fixed 'working but buggy' achievements, e.g. related to number of kills or shielding
+ Inter-stage story text revised to fix text wrapping issue and some typos
