[h2]Update[/h2]
  • Enhanced visibility of the monster HP bar by removing the fading effect towards the right and encasing it in a solid black border for better clarity.
  • Enhanced visibility on the level-up upgrade screen by adding a vertical highlight effect to the timer of the weapon being upgraded, beyond the existing highlight image.
  • Added a highlight image to the Locator that marks the shrine locations to facilitate better recognition. The Locator for item positions remains unchanged.

  • Fixed quests in the far-left column on the Quest page were not being highlighted as their progress increased.

  • The incorrect "Projectile" tag on the weapon upgrades for Wind Blade and Spectral Slash has been removed.
  • Corrected a typo in the description for the "Time Machine" lighting upgrade (only to the Korean language).
  • Corrected a typo by removing extraneous quotation marks in some stat.

[h2]Update[/h2]
  • Loot Soulstone: Rewards are significantly increased, almost x10. Feedback is welcome for further adjustments.
  • Energy Nova: Modifiers are clarified and mostly enhanced. Also, it starts from 2 novas by default! (buffed).

    1. Rain of Arrows (Energy Nova with Stone-imbued)
    Incorrectly noted as '-75% damage'. It is now corrected to '-75% less AOE'.

    2. Flame Artillery (Fire-imbued)
    200% increased damage -> 100% more damage
    -50% decreased AOE -> -25% less AOE

    3. Frost Nova (Cold-imbued)
    -80% decreased damage -> -50% less damage
    +100% increased AOE -> 100% more AOE

    4. Electric Field (Lightning-imbued)
    Increase in damage taken to enemies adjusted from 1% to 5%.

    5. Enigmatic Shooting Stars (Chaos-imbued)
    -50% decreased damage -> -30% less damage
    -50% AOE -> -30% less AOE


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed looted soulstones did not stack correctly after saving the game.
  • Fixed Penetration was not functioning correctly in some cases.
  • Fixed the tag for Soulfire Resonance from 'focus' to the correct 'normal'.
  • Fixed the alignment of the notification "You have caught the attention of the Sturdy Toothed Dragons" (it was not center-aligned properly).
  • Fixed purified shrines for elements (fire, cold, lightning, chaos) now count towards achievements.
  • Fixed unlock condition for the quest "Rediscovering the Surplus Capital" which rewards "Perks : Principle of Paradox".
    before : Survive for 15 minutes with [Wide Flapping Lv. 10].
    after : Survive for 15 minutes with [Sharp beak Lv. 10].


[h2]Balance[/h2]
  • Attention from enemies now triggers a random enemy upgrade.
  • After 8 min, waves will always be "Spectacular Carnival," where enemies flood in at an overwhelming pace.
  • Focus attacks now come with a default 50 armor penetration.
    This minimizes penalties during the initial phase (0~10 minutes). However, players must secure additional penetration upgrades to effectively combat enemies in the second phase (10+ minutes).
  • Bubble Vortex / Bubble Splash starts from 2 bubbles by default (buffed).
  • Energy Nova starts from 2 novas by default (buffed).
  • Agility (Attack Rate / Cooldown) : 10% -> 20%
  • Fluttering Feathers (Projectile Number) : 0.3 -> 0.4
  • Bastion (Block) : 3% -> 5%


[h2]Others[/h2]
  • Adjusted the key settings guide at the beginning of the wave to align to the right, preventing overlap with enemy dialogues.
  • Removed the term "(passive)" from upgrade/stat descriptions to avoid confusion.
    The term is typically used for abilities, skills, or effects that are always active or trigger automatically under certain conditions. Most elemental upgrades in our game fall into this because they are automatically cast or applied.
    We aim to apply "(passive)" more clearly to specific upgrades/stats as their application becomes more distinct in the future.
  • Clarify "Frozen Heart" cold element stat description:
    Frozen Heart (more damage)
    Frozen Heart (more attack rate)
  • Clarify "Ice Gauntlet" cold element upgrade description:
    When you defeat a frozen enemy, you will recover "N" health.
  • Auto Skip is now disabled by default, meaning dialogue scenes will no longer reappear once you've clicked the skip button.


[h2]Postponed Update[/h2]
  • Language support is postponed. The current progress is almost 70%~80%. The work includes Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), German, French, and Portuguese.


Tip. Language support requests can be made in the suggestions-system tab on Discord. However, please note that it may take some days to process!

1. Please first attempt to restart the Steam application to apply patch v.0.0.3.
2. If you encounter a "missing executable" error during game startup, it's likely due to the game's executable file being relocated by the patch.

For example, originally located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BestiarySurvivors\Bestiary Survivors.exe,
the patch may move it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BestiarySurvivors\BestiarySurvivors\Bestiary Survivors.exe.

Please note this relocation sometimes occurs randomly with each patch and is beyond our control.

In this case, uninstall and install Bestiary Survivors again via Steam application will fix this.

Patch 0.0.3

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
- Fixed enemy bullets would fire even if the enemy was frozen or dead.
- Fixed Spectacular Carnival (Enemies are pouring in at an overwhelming rate.) is not triggered sometimes in v.0.0.2.
- Fixed damage dealt by Bubble Splash was not being recorded towards achievements.
- Fixed some names exceeding the column width were not scrollable.

[h2]Balance Patch[/h2]
- The size of enemy melee Hitbox will be reduced from 2.0~2.5 times the monster's size to 1.75 times.

[h2]Others[/h2]
- Improved the visibility of the explosion radius to be more intuitive when the Tiny Explosion Dragon dies.
- Clarified the unlocking condition for the Phoenix Clan Ability : 100,000 cumulative "Revenge" damage as a Phoenix Clan. Here, "Revenge" means Revenge Snipe, Revenge Meteor, Revenge Strike in Phoenix clan ability.

[h3]Tips[/h3]

In terms of the enemy hitboxes:

1. Enemies that fire projectiles, such as the "Sturdy Toothed Dragon, Flame Energy Dragons, Wise Oppression Dragons," do not have a hitbox upon collision and attack solely through projectiles.

2. Other enemies like the "Tiny Explosive Dragons, Swift Runner Dragons, Fiery Charging Dragons, Sturdy Shield Dragons" deal damage directly in front of the player during close combat without affecting the sides.

[h2]Balance Patch[/h2]
  • The teleport spot for the Sturdy Shield Dragon Elite (the big guys) is now much further from the player.
  • Sturdy Shield Dragon Minions (the big guys) no longer teleport at each intervals.
  • Instead, they will now teleport only when they are far away from the player.
  • In the second phase, base defense for Sturdy Shield Dragon Minions (the big guys) has been slightly reduced (to 180 from 200).


[h3]Tips[/h3]
  • You can toggle the Auto Skip feature on/off by navigating to
    Settings > Text > Auto Skip on/off By default, Auto Skip is enabled, which means that dialogue scenes will not appear again once they have been viewed.
    (Changed post v. 0.0.4) Auto Skip is now disabled by default, meaning dialogue scenes will no longer reappear once you've clicked the skip button.

  • you can toggle Camera Shakes feature on/off by navigating to
    Settings > Accessibility > Camera Shake on/off
    By default, the Camera Shake feature is enabled, which means that there is a slight shaking effect when interactions with shrines are completed.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed Spectral Air Slicer is not unlocking by weapon upgrades.
  • Fixed skipping introduction scene is not working.
