Battlefield 6 (PS5) Review


I dabble in the FPS genre from time to time, with my FPS career starting all the way back on the N64 with Goldeneye 007, and going all the way through Black on the PS2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & Modern Warfare 3, to now with Battlefield 2042, and the newest entry in the series: Battlefield 6. There are others in there too, but they shall remain nameless as they just weren’t up to the standards set by previous titles (*cough Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare cough*).





After the highly divisive Battlefield 2042 (which I have been playing almost to the exclusion of everything else in recent weeks), I wanted to begin by looking at the multiplayer aspect of Battlefield 6. Get Ready for Battlefield 6 - Launch Times, Secure Boot and PC Specs

[h3]It’s almost time for all-out warfare.[/h3][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Battlefield 6 launches around the world on October 10, 2025 at 8 a.m. PT (5 p.m. CET). All regions will be able to access the game at the same time worldwide:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Prior to Battlefield 6’s worldwide launch, Battlefield Studios will deploy a patch update that is required to play the game. Unless you have auto-updates enabled on your platform (by default), make sure you download that patch manually for a smooth launch day experience. [/p][p][/p][h2]PC Intel - Secure Boot Instructions[/h2][p]In order to play Battlefield 6 on PC, you must enable Secure Boot. This necessary security feature allows EA’s Javelin Anticheat to detect, remove and deter cheaters. You can check whether or not Secure Boot is enabled on your computer by checking its System Information menu; simply perform a general search or enter “msinfo32” in your run command window to see this menu.[/p][p][/p][p]Specific information, including links out to your computer or motherboard manufacturer’s website for exact secure boot instructions, can be found on this EA Help article here.[/p][p]

Battlefield 6's hefty launch day patch will bring "over 200 changes", and EA know folks pine for the sea

Right, it's time to get ahead of the game. Approach your router and force it to repeat the things Lightning McQueen says about speed at the start of Cars, because Battlefield 6 has a launch patch coming and it sounds like it'll be weighty. EA say "over 200 changes" will be dropping as part of it and have also teased some potential future additions in their latest beta learnings post.
