GAMEDEV LOG #6

Dear Future Motel Owners!

With the new year upon us, we warmly welcome you and thank you for the tremendous interest and support you’ve shown for our game. To kick off this year, we’d like to share some updates on the progress of our development.

We’re currently focused on rewriting most of the game’s mechanics to create more optimized code. This will ensure the game runs faster, smoother, and is better prepared for future updates. Our internal beta tests have shown that this is a crucial step in delivering the best possible experience for you.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re introducing items to the in-game shop. At this moment, we already have over 200 unique pieces of furniture that you can place in your rooms—and this is just the beginning! We haven’t even touched on bathroom items, wall and floor finishes, or many other features. This is only a small fraction of what we’ve planned, and we’re adding more every day. All of this is designed to give you the greatest creative freedom in decorating and designing your future motels.

The code changes we’re implementing now are also aimed at allowing us to quickly respond to your feedback and adapt the game to your expectations once it enters Early Access.

While there’s still a lot of work ahead, we’re fully committed to completing it and are doing everything we can to release the game this year without any delays. Unfortunately, due to the scale of the project and our limited resources, we can’t provide you with a specific release date yet. However, we promise to keep you updated regularly on our progress.

Thank you for your patience, support, and enthusiasm—they truly drive us forward. We are a small but incredibly dedicated team—just a handful of people pouring their hearts into this project. We believe the final result will be worth the wait, and we hope it will exceed your expectations!

Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey. See you in the upcoming updates—and once again, we wish you a very Happy New Year!

Best regards,
RED Phoenix Interactive

GAMEDEV LOG #5

Welcome back after a long break!

Recently, we’ve put a lot of effort into introducing new mechanics and reworking the map to align it with the gameplay we have planned. Instead of just writing about it, we’ll show you a few screenshots from the game that showcase the current state of our work. Of course, a lot will still change, but this will give you an idea of what we’re planning to bring into the game.

In short, you’re essentially getting three games in one from us. 😊
Yes, that’s right! You’ll be able to serve your guests in your motel shop, on the beach, and, of course, as guests in your rooms. In addition to the fun of renovating, which will be the first stage of your gameplay, in the later stages you’ll have plenty of work to do to earn money for further renovations and upgrades to your motel!

Our priority is to create the game in a way that makes the gameplay as relaxing and engaging as possible for you. The mechanics won’t be too complicated but will still be complex enough to provide a challenge and give you satisfaction from playing.

There won’t be any skill trees or unnecessary experience points here. Why? Because this isn’t an RPG! It’s a relaxing simulator that allows you to manage a motel in a charming tropical setting inspired by the eastern coast of the USA, but in a more intimate atmosphere. 😊

We hope you’ll enjoy the results of our work so far. As we mentioned, we’re continuously working on improving all the details of the map and mechanics, while also introducing new elements to make everything as consistent with our vision as possible and to ensure you have the most fun!

Your team,
RED PHOENIX INTERACTIVE

And this is how your reception might look after you renovate it! Of course, this is just one option – the only limit is your imagination. :)

GAMEDEV LOG #4

Hello again!

Recently, a talented programmer joined our team, prompting us to make some changes throughout the game. We are currently revising all the mechanics related to renovation and cleaning, such as:

- Wall painting: We want it to be more satisfying and smooth.

- Barcode scanner: Used for selling unnecessary items, it will also undergo a minor upgrade, both visually and in terms of the sales animation 😊

- Crowbar: This element was the least satisfying during our internal tests, so we are making changes to both the destruction animation and the crowbar hit itself. It needs to be more "meaty"!

- Vacuuming: We are working to make it look more realistic. We aim to improve animations and add particle effects.

- Pressure washer: Similar to vacuuming, we want it to look more realistic – more watery!

- Window cleaning: The mechanics only need minor cosmetic adjustments.

- Tile laying: We are completely overhauling this mechanic to expand it slightly. We want to add wall preparation using plaster, so before laying tiles, you will need to prepare and level the wall each time.

- Trash collection: We are improving animations and making it more accessible and relaxing. Though it may be hard to imagine, trash collection can also be relaxing 😊

- Using a screwdriver: This mechanic will be significantly expanded since the screwdriver is our indispensable friend for minor repairs that may be needed in our motel, such as fixing air conditioners, electrical panels, lighting, etc. These won’t be complicated repairs but will give us a bit of work to ensure there is always something to do in our establishment.

- Mopping the bathroom floor: We are enhancing the animation and adding particle effects to make floor cleaning more immersive. We remember that everything should still be relaxing – after all, that's our goal!

- Using a sponge: Currently, it is quite unintuitive, so we want to improve it by adding better animations and effects to make it more satisfying.

Additionally, we are working on optimizing the map, lighting, textures, and revising key locations. The user interface and minor mechanics related to the shop, tablet, etc., also require modifications.

We can already reveal that the beach behind the motel, our office with the storage room, and your own shop where you can sell essential vacation items like sunscreen, sunglasses, and maybe even local souvenirs, will play a significant role in the game. Soon, once all the above mechanics are optimized and improved, we will present a gameplay video showcasing a bit of the map and the basics of renovation 😊

We are doing everything to get the game into your hands, but we want it to be a product worthy of your attention, not another poor-quality product that unfortunately floods the platforms. Thank you for your interest, and we assure you that work on our game is in full swing. Our team is growing, which, in addition to improving efficiency, also brings a breath of fresh ideas to the game, which we hope will keep you engrossed in our simulator for many hours!

Best regards

GAMEDEV LOG #3

Hello!

In summarizing the progress of our work, we would like to share a few updates from the development of our game, so:

1) The room rating system is now complete.
2) We are also gradually finishing the tutorial system in the form of small quests, which will guide you through all the necessary aspects of motel renovation and management to turn you into true "moteliers" 😊. Additionally, we are working on fixing minor bugs that we noticed during internal testing and introducing NPCs into the game world to fill it with your potential customers. Remember to maintain room cleanliness and proper management of all necessary personal hygiene items, as it is well known that a lack of toilet paper or clean towels can lead to disaster!

Soon, we will try to provide more information about the release date, as we are already in the final stages. Within a few weeks, we aim to conclude the work and initial testing phase and release our game as Early Access, so that each of you can have a real impact on how the product will look. Only then will we begin an even more intense phase of work to refine our game in a way that best suits you – our players!

We remain grateful for the tremendous support; our wishlist is bursting at the seams, and let's hope that this translates into the expansion of our community 😊.

Best regards

Welcome back!

After a short break, we return with a handful of new updates. First and foremost, we would like to share with you the latest news regarding the work we are currently undertaking. The most significant of these is our work on the room rating system. This mechanic will directly impact the room rental price per day, in short, determining how much you will earn from the most crucial element of the motel - renting out your renovated and appropriately decorated rooms. The system will tally and classify each room, assigning it a corresponding number of stars, which will enhance its prestige, and consequently, your profit. Contrary to appearances, this will be simple and intuitive, and you will learn more about room classification in the game itself and in the accompanying smartphone application, where you'll find a guide to assist you in managing your motel.

Additionally, taking into account the feedback we received regarding wall painting (specifically, that it was too simple and required only one click to paint an entire wall), we have decided to refine this mechanic. It is now more comprehensive and time-consuming, but we believe the end result justifies the effort. We're not taking shortcuts; we're striving to enrich every aspect of the game to ensure that the pleasure derived from playing it is maximized!

Thank you for your support, and we encourage you to continue following our progress. Together, we're creating a better version of our simulator!

Best regards,
