Welcome back to our fabric. Recently, we’ve taken you for a trip around the facility. Today, we’d like to focus on the core of the gameplay- completing the chocolate orders. 🍫

We’ll discuss all the machinery and available upgrades in a separate devlog because there’s a lot to talk about and it’d be a shame to not give this topic enough attention. Today, we’ll talk about the process. 📝

[h3]🔥 Starting fire[/h3]
As you know, our company uses steam to run the machinery so it’s only natural that the first step brings us to the furnace. You’ll have to start the fire to start creating steam. 💨


[h3]🤤 Making cacao mass[/h3]
Once you’re ready to proceed, you’ll have to visit your storage room to pick up some sugar, powdered milk, cocoa and cocoa butter. Your first creations will require you to use a simple steam stove and saucepan to create your chocolate and temper it. The first part requires precise measurement of the ingredients to assure the perfect taste. Second, on the other hand it is all about the temperature. Carefully control the temperature of the stove while stirring constantly- this will allow the chocolate to gain all the desirable features- nice crunchy texture, shine etc. In the full version there will be different kinds of chocolate, white, dark and even chocolate with filling.

Later in the game you’ll unlock special machines dedicated for completing those steps- melanger and tempering machines. 🔧


[h3]✏️ Designing shape of the chocolate[/h3]
Sometimes clients may ask for a simple chocolate bar, other times you’ll be required to deliver a more specific shape or even give you a free hand, allowing your creativity to bloom. Whatever you design, make sure it aligns with the wishes of your clients! 👍


[h3]👀 Forming the chocolate[/h3]
After the shape is decided it is time to pump the tempered chocolate mass through the forming machine to achieve the defined shape.


[h3]🎨 Designing the packaging[/h3]
Now it is time to pack the product. Just as in case of shape you’ll receive some directions in the customer’s order. There are many variables, such as color, drawings or ornaments to allow you go wild with your artistic vision as well.


[h3]🎁 Packaging the chocolate[/h3]
Finally, it is time to put the product in the prepared box, you can use the good, old, trusted packaging machine to make sure that the process is smooth and perfect.


And that’s it. The order is prepared and ready to be sent to your customer! The more chocolate you’ll make, the more natural this process will become. After all, practice makes perfect, doesn’t it? Welcome to the first devlog! 🔥 We’re extremely excited to be able to share some of the current progress with our community, especially before the upcoming Playtest which will begin tomorrow- on April 4th, 2024. Today though, we’d like to take you for a quick tour around the place where all the magic happens- your future chocolate factory! 🍫

As you may have deduced, the game takes place in a beautiful steampunk city. You won’t have time to wander around the area but you’ll get to admire the sight from a spacious balcony located on the first floor of the building. 🔍

At this point you might have wondered… won’t I be lonely during the gameplay? Don’t worry, we’ve got it covered! There is one more worker in your business. A one and only assistant robot! At the beginning he may not be too lively but during your gameplay you’ll have plenty of chances to upgrade him! 💪 His most basic function is to give you some pointers but with a speech module, some additional cooling modules and time he’ll be more and more active! If you’d like to know more about his functions or perhaps suggest what you’d like him to be able to do please let us know in the comments and we’ll make sure to cover this topic in a separate devlog. 🤖

Back to your factory, the place consists of a few rooms, the most important being the warehouse 📦, the production hall 🍫 and the office 📝 in which the aforementioned balcony is situated!

Warehouse is the place where all the ingredients are kept. It's also the residence of your robotic friend! 👍

[h3]The production hall consists of all the machinery you’ll use to create, decorate and pack the amazing sweets you’ll make. 🤤 Keep in mind that some of the machines will not be available right from the start, while others will have unlockable upgrades allowing you to be even more creative! ❤️‍[/h3]

Office is your private area from which you’ll get to manage the entire operation! 💪 Oh, we almost forgot to tell you that you’ll get to decorate more than just the sweets. The entire building will be available for you to customize. Hopefully the right combination of wallpapers, floor, rooftop will allow you to create your chocolate masterpieces in an environment that suits you.
